Cheap Barbie Fairytopia Purple Color Change Mermaid Doll

I thought most people would like to know that the doll has only one strand of hair (different color than the rest) that changes color. You can see it in the picture if you look closely. My daughter spent a good ten minutes dipping all of the dolls hair in hot and cold water, being dissapointed because it didn't work. I then went to see if I could help her and discovered that there is only one strand that changes from lavender to light blue. By dipping the whole strand of hair, the color change was so minor, that she didn't even notice. When I used the mini sponge included and changed only a small part of the hair strand, I was then able to see two different colors. My daughter and I were both dissapointed. It is still a neat mermaid barbie, but don't buy it expecting a dramatic hair color change.

I agree with the reviewer from Ohio. I was searching online for help in how to get the hair to change colour as my girls and I were having no luck. We tried again and could see the small streak change. It is more noticeable on the pink Barbie as it changes to blue. The purple one changes to lavender so is even harder to see. It is a fun bath toy, but not the dramatic hair colour change any of us were hoping for.

My 3 yr old daughter loves Mermaids and loves purple so this was right up her alley. Unfortunately the hair does not change at all and was disappointed with that. My daughter kept saying "maybe a little long" and was being so hopeful but the hair never changed. Still fun for her to play with anyway.

Cheap Bratz Babyz Meygan

When i heard there was a new line of bratz comin out i never thought it would be BABYZ i bought Cloe, Roxxi and Phoebe and my latest baby was Meygan. I was suprised Meygan was in the babyz line. I dont know why but she is becoming more popular in the other lines now for instance i recently purchased rock angelz meygan *she rox*.

But i did get Babyz Meygan. She is super sweet she has a hazely colour hair, green eyes and is dressed in a orange baby set which says "funky fashion" and a picture of a monkey underneath. She comes with a all pink blanket with a lighter pink fluff around it.

She also has a fuzzy munkey with her and a white and pink (its odd but the design look a little tiny bit like louis vuitton) diaper bag.

This Meygan also has removable plastic molded hair. Her 2 innocent piggys can be removed in a clip on/off way like the regular bratz shoes.

I would like to see this meygan in the new hair flair colection. I already have Dana and she is very sweet but i think a little green eyed baby with long ginger hair would be sweet so come on MGA meygan in the hair flair plz pwetty plz

I own Meygan and she is super cute. She has pigtails that are high up with cute little hair bands.Her outfit is cute and shows her pet Funky Fashion Monkey. The monkey is cute and so is the blanket and bag. The bag has 2 little pockets, 1 on each side, and a big pocket in the front. There's even a little pocket in the back for her pet. All over all, it's a great toy and I love it! You really need playsets and other dolls to enjoy it completley, but I like it anyway. I want more stuff though, I only have Meygan......

P.S.: The pets are REALLY fuzzy!

These shoes are so realistic! They have all the details of a child's runners, including sparkly stripes and textured treads. The shoes fit well and are easy to get on & off. We ordered the pink ones but received the purple version, which look just as good. My daughter is really happy with them!

I got this as an anonymous gift for a 6 year old needy child for Christmas. She is beautiful!!! Her tail is way cooler in person, where the photo doesn't do it any justice. You press the button on her necklace and her tail flashes with swirlies and flowers in blue and pink lights. The lights blink in a pattern, and sometimes stay still.

My only slight issue is that the button on the doll I received was a bit stiff to activate. I was at first worried that it was broken, but once I got it to work, the button got easier to use. My own 6 and 3 year old girls fell in love with this Barbie mermaid. (I was informed that she is WAY better than their "boring" mermaid Barbies. Kids, I tell ya!)

I love that you can take this Barbie in the water; I bet she looks even prettier like that. Would have loved to have this as a bath toy as a girl!

My 2 and 4 year old received these light up mermaids as a birthday gift and they are in love with them. The lights in the tail are very pretty, and you can even bring them into the bath!

My 4yo girl enjous playing with this. It's a bit flimsy, but that's not a real problem, she has plenty of fun with it. All of the pieces do not store away inside Rapunzel's house though, so a zip lock bag comes in handy.

Bought this when it was on a good sale and "santa" gave it to dd and she loved it. It does come with the accessories shown and these dolls are about the size of the Kelly dolls but a bit more to them and much easier to dress. That is why i went to these dolls instead. We also bought the other dolls and sets to go with so now she has so much fun with them all.

Consumers be advised...these dresses are meant for AMERICAN GIRL dolls and do NOT fit "My Twinn" dolls! We have a My Twinn doll and I just ASSUMED it was the same size as the American Girl dolls (they are both 18" dolls)...but I was WRONG. The dress is very tight on my daughters doll but it DOES fit. However, the dolls do NOT have the same sized feet! The My Twinn doll has feet about an inch LARGER than the American Girl doll. LUCKILY the shoes fit some of my daughters other dolls so we decided to keep them.

Cute dress. I would recommend this seller to anyone who has a young girl! My daughter got these dresses for Cmas and LOVED them! 5 stars (even though they didn't quite fit the doll we bought them for!)

This isn't a bad little fake-food box. The hinges are sturdy, the doors stay shut most of the time, and the bottom drawer isn't as prone to warp and break as it has been in the past few years. But the fact that the back panel of the fridge is a thin sheet of cardboard makes no sense--you cannot expect things to stay IN the fridge if there are only three walls holding them in. Basically this is one of those "looks great from the front" things that's ok for a low price and ridiculous at anything higher than $12.

FYI: if you're planning on doing something about the God-awful fuschia scheme, be sure to use Krylon Fusion and a primer. The paint will still most likely chip around the hinges when you pop the doors back on (and guarantee your bottom drawer will start sticking when it's humid). Any other paint--including enamel--is going to go on gummy and stay on about as long as a marriage to J-Lo.

My daughter was so excited when this doll arrived. Imagine her disappointment when she saw that one of the arms was broken. Unfortunately, like the reviewer in 2010, the damage was due to an underneath plastic moving part which made the arm useless. Apparently it's a defect they've decided not to fix since I made my purchase in May 2011. As you can see, my decision to buy rarely hinges solely on shipping issues but I must warn you. If you have this doll shipped, expect to have to return it at least once and get a new one.

Also, the doll's head has several plastic pieces in it which secure the head when it's in the box. You may find you can't pull them out once the doll is out of the box. Since they interfere with styling the mannequin's hair, you'll probably end up cutting them. If so you'll have to be very careful not to cut the doll's hair in the process. Once that's done, you'll have to press the remaining pieces into the mannequin's head or else they'll scratch your child. All this unnecessary effort and a hefty price too.

I admit it's a beautiful doll; that's why I bought it and my daughter really enjoys playing with it. But if I had to do it all over again, I'd buy it at a local store instead of having it shipped or better still, purchase a similar doll at a more affordable price from a different manufacturer.

It's a nice idea and was super excited to buy it for a christmas present. I came with both arms broken at the base. The arms are suppose to swivel a little bit so they can be polished and used with press on nails. The underneath plastic moving part was broken on both arms renering them useless.

Let me just start by saying I absolutely adore this doll it's one of the most beautiful reproductions I have ever seen. The doll's face paint is perfect, the outfit and swimsuit are exactly as pictured. Just lovely. As an added charm, Mattel actually didn't shellac the doll's hair into its usual frozen helmet. The hair is actually SOFT, can you believe it? Wow!

The downside? There are several: Once again, Mattel has stapled and fastened this doll to death. Four plastic staples in the head, alone. And it's impossible to cut them down flat without harming the hairdo. Why is it necessary to keep anchoring the collectible dolls' heads to the cardboard, at all? What is the point? Every Barbie collectible l doll I own has sharp plastic points sticking through her hair and you can never enjoy combing or touching it. Seriously, do Barbie heads really require multiple anchors to maintain their display position? Also, there is so much plastic piercing the clothes and poking holes in the legs that removing the doll from the cardboard takes an eternity. And quite wasteful packaging, btw.

Finally, the doll stand, itself, is not the proper height for this Barbie. You have to slide the waist grip all the way to the very top of the stand in order to keep the doll upright, and it keeps slipping off.

Still, this is in no way the fault of the doll, herself. And her loveliness makes up for all my complaints.

Mattel gets an A from me on reproducing this doll. She's beautiful, with lovely facial color and gorgeous hair. She looks fabulous in Matinee Fashion (yes, I remove them from the box). I was too young for this version of Barbie when she first came out, but I leaped at the chance to buy the reproduction. She's a lovely addition to my collection.

I am in full agreement with the other reviewer regarding the packaging. It's frustrating, and complete overkill. What is with stapling the head to the box? I can't stand it. And although my doll did not have the heavy shellac on her hair like I've had with their other reproductions, mine still had this weird oily residue. I was able to get it clean but still, this was not necessary. Mattel, can you please just leave the hair alone so we collectors can enjoy it? No staples, no hair gunk.

That being said, I am really looking forward to what else Mattel has in mind for their collector series. Barring the packaging and hair treatment annoyances these dolls are a lovely addition to my collection.

As previously put forth by the other two reviewers...THIS DOLL IS BEAUTIFUL. I am an adult (born the same year Barbie was created) Vintage Barbie collector operating on a working woman's budget. This is my first (and so far only) American Girl Barbie. The authentic vintage American Girl Barbies are beyond my financial reach. This lovely reproduction, purchased for about $30, is financially feasable, and simply adored. I purchased mine from an Amazon vendor, "new without box". She also came minus the stand but that does not detract from her beauty. Her hair is not laquered in place but does have that oily residue described by another reviewer. I have not tried to wash it out for fear of damaging her.

For those of us who cannot, yet, afford true Vintage American Girl Barbies (the most costly of the vintage Barbies of the same years) the reproductions allow us to enjoy their beauty, and this collector is pleased to have one of her own! Note: I have my eye on a second American Girl repro, with Titan hair, titled Fashion Luncheon...

I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s but was always fascinated by vintage Barbie. In 1996, I got my first repro Barbie (enchanted evening). Fast forward many years later, and I discovered Mattel had made many more vintage reproductions!

This is American Girl Barbie really is quite lovely. She has such sophistication to her. I especially appreciate the fine detailing and construction of her clothing. I didn't have that luxury of nice Barbie clothes when I was a kid! As other reviewers have noted, the stand doesn't measure up. You can still stand her up but her feet sort of dangle off the edge of the platform.

I'd recommend this set to any Barbie fan!

The Pink Canvas Sneakers are cute as the dickens. I have a "knock off" of a Bitty Baby that I use as a model to sew clothes and they fit that doll perfectly. I have not given them to my granddaughter (who has a Bitty Baby) yet, but I would imagine they will fit just fine. Love them! If they turn up in other colors, I will buy more.

Before I went to Florida on vecation with my 2 year old twins I got this stroller 1 in pink and 1 in blue I liked the fact that it packed and folds small. But oh Boy I never could think that this stroller will be such a hit. My twins walked together on the board walk and they were SUPER STARS. every one asked where we got such beautiful strollers.

The umbrella is difficult to "play with" if you're a petite girl like my daughter the spokes practically get her right in the eye. And the black plastic handles are cheap...one already broke. The $8 one from Toys R Us held up better.
