Two toys in one box! My child likes this toy. Barbie comes with a fridge and food. Having a Barbie with another piece of furniture is good. However, removing the package material is always a chore. Once out of the box it's hours and hours of fun.

This isn't a bad little fake-food box. The hinges are sturdy, the doors stay shut most of the time, and the bottom drawer isn't as prone to warp and break as it has been in the past few years. But the fact that the back panel of the fridge is a thin sheet of cardboard makes no sense--you cannot expect things to stay IN the fridge if there are only three walls holding them in. Basically this is one of those "looks great from the front" things that's ok for a low price and ridiculous at anything higher than $12.
FYI: if you're planning on doing something about the God-awful fuschia scheme, be sure to use Krylon Fusion and a primer. The paint will still most likely chip around the hinges when you pop the doors back on (and guarantee your bottom drawer will start sticking when it's humid). Any other paint--including enamel--is going to go on gummy and stay on about as long as a marriage to J-Lo.

As my daughter was playing she said "sure wish they made a fridge for my Barbie". Looked on amazon and there it was. She was really happy to get it in the mail and my wife and her play all the time with it. Not too sure if the wife likes it more. It gets played with so it makes me happy its not a waste and its still holding up as do all the other Barbie products.
