Best Bee Rain Boots for 18 Inch Dolls Including the American Girl Line Deals
These American Girl size boots are adorable. Took one star off because they have a slightly unpleasant odor kind of musty that didn't go away even after spending time sealed in a bag with baking soda. Might be the plastic itself. Hopefully the odor will eventually go away.

Reviews of Our Generation Doll Scooter - Lilac
This was a Chrismas present when my daughter was 9 to go with her American Girl dolls. She has had endless use from it. She was thrilled to get it on Christmas. We have not seen anything similar out there. Of course the price was half then of what it is now and I am not certain I would put out that much for it, but I am sure she would given the choice! We have not had any issues with breakage, but if your child is of the rough nature, you might. It is all plastic and would not take much abuse. If used correctly it would be fine.

Sleeping Realistic Baby Doll: Sweet Dreams, Bella by Ashton Drake Review
Received my Bella this morning and she's all that I anticipated and more. Perfection! Even smells like baby and has more hair than pictured. Beautiful start to my collection. Thank you Ashton Drake and I look forward to the next baby doll in the collection.
Her arms and legs are cloth above the knees and elbows
She is not as easy to pose as you would expect for the money
Her face is not quite as cute as pictured
She smells good
Her skin is soft
Her hands and feet look very realistic
My daughter likes her alot

When I recieved "Bella", She was all that I had ever looked for in a doll. Her beautiful hair is a soft brownish red and she has much more hair than pictured! Her clothing is too cute and she smells just like an actual baby. You start to notice her cloth body a little sooner than most dolls on her arms so i suggest fairly long tees, shirts, or onsies if you change "Bella's" clothes. Overall, I am more than satisfied with this doll and would buy it again. Love, love,LOVE this doll! I highly reccomend the "Sweet Dreams Bella" doll to all doll lovers and reborn collectors!!! :)Honest reviews on Sleeping Realistic Baby Doll: Sweet Dreams, Bella by Ashton Drake
Bella was my first doll purchase and I fell in love with her instantly. Her skin is the touch and feel of a human and they did a terrific job of infusing the pigmentation. I love my Bella doll so much! I've named her Tylie and she is absolutely adorable. I've even ordered the much loved Hush Little Baby doll and after such a great doll as my Tylie the Hush didn't compare. More realistic and more posable than the Ashley and Hush dolls of the same price. Here's some YouTube links to my doll so you can see how amazing she is!DETAILS VIDEO:

Disney Tangled Featuring Rapunzel Grow and Style Doll Reviews
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $20.99
Sale Price: $18.65
Today's Bonus: 11% Off

We received this as a present and liked that the hair grows and it has playability. It's clear a lot of the production money must have been spent on having the longer grow hair than on the dress or accessories. The dress itself is the very plain cheap satin with very little in the way of interest in it. But the doll serves the purpose of looking like the movie character (though missing the charm and personality). I like that you can store the accessories in the brush so they won't get lost as easily.
This version is FAR superior to the Rapunzel doll that comes with extra hair on a clip that one feels really cheap. I'd highly recommend this one.
If you want to get a really nice one, there is a 12" (same size) Disney version that looks much closer to the movie character and has more interesting hair (more like the curly mess of the movie character).
The doll itself is otherwise nice -the face does not exactly look like Rapunzel from the movie, though. A bit more generic Barbie with a purple dress. More than good enough for my daughter, but they still could have done better. Nice toy, but not the perfect one.

This is a good idea for a doll, but a very poor design. The hair retractable mechanism broke after the first light pull and the non growing hair very easily gets tangled and messyI guess the doll is named correctly. Hair accessories are sticky and also get tangled in the hair. Buy something else.Best Deals for Disney Tangled Featuring Rapunzel Grow and Style Doll
My daughter loves this toy, and the growing hair is a great feature in theory. But in practice, it's constantly getting tangled and becomes difficult to pull out at all. You get this knotted mess that we are constantly working to comb out.The doll itself is otherwise nice -the face does not exactly look like Rapunzel from the movie, though. A bit more generic Barbie with a purple dress. More than good enough for my daughter, but they still could have done better. Nice toy, but not the perfect one.
Honest reviews on Disney Tangled Featuring Rapunzel Grow and Style Doll
My daughter received this doll for Christmas, and plays with it daily. The retractable braid still works fine after almost a month...so far, so good, anyway! The rest of the hair does get messy when she leaves it laying on the floor in a heap after playing, but the nice thing about this doll is that her hair brushes out quite quickly and easily with the included brush (or any barbie brush). The little flowers and jewels for her hair have velcro on the back, so they do get stuck in the carpet, besides her hair! I wouldn't attach them to the braid, as shown, though, because they'd probably pull the braid out or make a mess of it when you try to remove them. They are fine on the rest of the hair, because you can just slide them out. Overall, a great Rapunzel doll!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Disney Tangled Featuring Rapunzel Grow and Style Doll
This was a Christmas present for my daughter. It broke the very first time I was showing it to my daughter and by ME not my daughter. I gently pulled the hair and the mechanism broke and the whole braid came off the doll. Should be more durable for the price.Friday, December 5, 2014
Cheap Groovy Girls Groovy Wardrobe
The entire groovy girls line is one of those great toy lines that's fun for the child as well as the mommy. My 2 year old loves this toy. It's great for storing all her groovy girls clothing and it's also convient for traveling. My daughter loves looking at herself in the full legnth mirror and loves taking all the clothes off the hangers. Surprisingly, this toy does have educational value. As my daughter takes the clothes off the hangers I teach the name of piece of clothing ie top, pants, coat, ect. I've taught her to put the clothes back on the hangers and into the draws, promoting finger dexterity. It's also helped her learn colors because everything is brightly colored and very appealing for a 2 year old to look at. I do not however, allow her to play with this toy unsupervised. My daughter gets so dissappointed when it's time to put this away. Although it's only laminated cardboard it's held up very well and still looks new. We just ordered the older style so she could have 2 wardrobes. So obviously, I would reccomend this toy to anyone who has a daughter 2 and older.

Reviews of Liv Dolls - Sophie
My daughter received this for her 7th birthday.
She was really wanting these dolls badly and was not disappointed at all at. She played with it non-stop.
There seems to be a million strings and things to cut your way through to free the doll from her package, so a need to be patient.
The doll it really very pretty. Very lifelike inserted eyes instead of painted on eyes, they really add a nice touch of realism, and are very well done.
The wigs, my daughters main desire to play with really are also nice and I was surprised. The hair is very soft and silky. I like that all extra wigs come with a "wig head" to store them on, an when not in use, also useful for combing them out.
You will probably need to trim them after your brush them to cleam up some rogue long pieces. It is also very apparent they were cut with a machine, The straight wigs particularly are choppy and even a bit jagged looking, but not something my daughter noticed at all.
At first it seemed a bit difficult to change wigs, there is a hole in the doll's head and a plastic peg in the wig. Then the directions point out you can push your fingers on the wig to pop the wig a bit inside out to easily insert the wig on the doll's head. My Daughter has not needed any help changing the wigs or clothing.
The joints in this doll are pretty wild!! this doll has knee-caps, and rotating wrists and ankles. Very impressive how lifelike you can make movements!! I think that is my biggest concern, how durable are they. My daughter always has played very respectfully with her dolls so I am not as much worried about her breaking it as I am friends who can get a little over-enthusiastic. SO far I can't really see any problems.
Every time I would cruise the toy aisle, looking for new, cool Barbie items, I'd leave disappointed by Mattel's new trend of overly pink and glittery, poorly painted, helmet hair headed, cheaply made stuff. Then one day, I noticed the Liv dolls. At first, I was a bit put off by them because of their slightly larger than usual heads. However, I loved their eyes (Which most people find creepy. They are inset, not painted on. But hey, that was the same fate that big headed, doe eyed Blythe suffered and look at her now!) They grew on me each time I'd visit the toy aisle, until finally I took the plunge and bought Daniela and Sophie (and I have since bought Katie).
Their bodies are articulated, so they can actually sit properly without falling over like a drunk sorority girl (*cough*cough*BabsImlookinatyou*cough*cough*), and they can even stand on their own (with a little patience). They just feel and look better made than Barbie does. Barbie does have an articulated doll on the market currently The Fashionista series but again, they pale in comparison to the Liv dolls.
I am very pleased as an adult doll collector with the quality of the dolls and their accessories so far. I am very aggressive with the articulation, and I have yet to break one of the dolls. That's not to say that the will not snap like a twig if you really try, but they endure my torture and are not delicate.
There are two waves of Liv dolls the first wave of Katie, Sophie, Daniela and Alexis come with an extra wig. The second wave come with various accessories and their pet dog. Personally, I prefer all the wave 1 dolls with the exception of Daniela. I prefer Wave 2 Daniela. She has a much cuter face and outfit, but that is just my personal preference. I wish Liv dolls existed when I was a kid! I would have saved every penny I had and bought them instead of Barbie.
The wigs are reasonably priced at $5.99 and the first wave wigs come with a wig stand. Be aware that the second wave of wigs no longer include the cool wig stands. So, if you find some of the first wave wigs on clearance (which I've started to see), I'd snap them up for that reason. The wigs are very soft and silky, unlike the glued down helmet hair of the new Barbie era (Mattel what is up with that?) Also, unlike Barbie, if your little girl decides to give Liv a haircut, you can get her a new head of hair for $5.99! Ah, I remember my first and last Barbie hair cut. The wigs come in really cool colors like pink, purple, green, blue, blonde, platinum blonde, blonde with colored highlights and brunette with colored highlights. There are lots of choices!
The accessories and outfits are super cute and do not look cheap or slutty (and the clothes are not cheap one outfit costs $9.99 and sometimes you can find three outfit packs for $14.99 at various stores.) Don't buy from online auctions as they price gouge. You can get Liv stuff at brick and mortar stores and online retailers for reasonable prices. It just takes a little effort.
In my opinion, I think Liv dolls are real competition to everyday Barbie. I have collected and played with Barbies most of my life, and I never thought that I'd see a line of dolls come this close to toppling the reigning queen of the doll world. While I still carry a soft spot in my heart for the ol' gal, and I do love the retro re-releases and the collector series, the mainstream Barbies and accessories have just lost that umph for me.
Bravo, SpinMaster, Bravo! Give Mattel a run for their money!
There is one very important thing you will need to take into account when opening this package. Do not expect to have your child playing with this product immediately. Every single loose item attached to the doll, or even an item which MIGHT become loose, is anchored down with incredibly thin, clear filament line which takes some hard work to remove. And a sharp pointed instrument! Even this doll's hair was anchored down. After the wrestling match involved in removing "Sophie" from the packaging was finished I then had to find and pick up all those tiny pieces of filament in order to throw them away.
The doll is really quite marvelous and my grandgirl absolutely loved her from the first minute she saw her, but there are many, many tiny pieces of accessories and the packaging was quite a struggle to deal with. Especially with an excited 10 year old jumping from one foot to the other waiting for me to get all the tie-downs cut!

This doll was a gift for my granddaughter for her 10th birthday. The doll is actually quite attractive, the clothes are stylish and modern, her accessories are very interesting (especially to a 10 year old) and the articulation of the body joints is really quite amazing. We loved the fact that the wig can be removed and "Sophie" can go from long hair to a buzz cut instantly. There is a piece of paper attached to the back of the cardboard explaining the trick of how to place the wig on the doll's head again after it is removed the first time. The accessories which come with the doll are very, very small, as is to be expected for a doll of this size so the choking/hazard warnings should be taken very seriously. There is one very important thing you will need to take into account when opening this package. Discount Little Mommy Sweet As Me PJ Hispanic Doll
I got this little doll because she looks like my little grandaughter. When she first came over and saw it sitting on the chair I have with all her play things, she went right over to it, picked the doll up and wouldn't put her down. It was so sweet. So I think that pretty much says it all. :-)

Disney Princess Sing-A-Long Cinderella Doll Reviews
For the first week of owning it, we were frustrated that the doll just repeated "no matter how your heart is dreaming". Then I found a pull tab right above the doll's butt. There is also a tab slot in the battery compartment in the middle of the back, so I didn't look for a second tab. Pull the lower tab and the doll sings the whole: "No matter how your heart is dreaming, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." After finding that, we're much happier with the doll.
What else is there to say? It's basically a barbie style cyderella. We bought it on clearance at a local store. I don't think the song is enough to buy this over the basic not singing version, but it seems to be the only version in a pink dress. We didn't give our little girl the shoes because they don't stay on well (ironic for a cinderella doll). Even so, our little girl loves it!
I only wished there was at least one whole song there...I guess "sing along" means the kid will have to continue??
Oh well...beside that is a very nice toy.

My granddaughter loves this doll. It was a gift for her second birthday and was a big hit the minute she opened it. She beamed as she twirled and sang and danced around the room. Reviews of Polly Pocket Tropical Splash Adventure Play Set
This is the third (and last) Polly Pocket playset that my daughter has gotten. It is a flimsy piece of JUNK. All you have to do is touch it and it falls apart. Also the umbrella on the table is so top heavy that the table falls over constantly. If you want to buy your child Polly Pocket toys, go for the dolls and the clothes. Those hold up pretty well and kids seem to enjoy them. The playsets are just NOT worth your money!

Barbie Green Color Change Mermaid Doll Reviews
The green Mermaid Barbie is quite lovely much better than she shows in the picture. Her colors are a much more vibrant transition from bright yellow to deep reach aqua blue. she has a lot of details in her tail and just enough glitter everywhere to look 'magical'. Her hair changes from pink to purple in HOT water. Then back to pink with cold water. In comparison to the other two Barbies mermaids, which have blue eyes, she has brown eyes to match her hair.
One of the features I like with this particular series of dolls is that they have a rubber molded area at the top of the fin (at the waist). So when you bend her to sit, you don't see any seams or underwear as with the other Barbies. It's a smart design and really helps keep the illusion of the doll being a mermaid. However, the rest of the tail is hard plastic. I must preferred the soft bendable plastic of previous, more expensive Barbie Mermaids.
She is one in a series of 3 that all have the same exact details, face, etc. Only the hair color and the color on the tails/bikini top/skin changes.
I would recommend this doll to anyone who loves barbies or mermaids!

I am an adult barbie collector who also collects mermaids. Like the title says, the green mermaid is my favorite in the series. Her tail, which fades from bright yellow to aqua, is my favorite part. The sparkles on her tail are a big plus too! I also like that she is a brunette. Unlike other reviewers, my doll changes color as advertised. Her hair turns purple in warm water and back to pink with an ice cube.I would recommend this doll to anyone who loves barbies or mermaids!

Let me just start by saying I absolutely adore this doll it's one of the most beautiful reproductions I have ever seen. The doll's face paint is perfect, the outfit and swimsuit are exactly as pictured. Just lovely. As an added charm, Mattel actually didn't shellac the doll's hair into its usual frozen helmet. The hair is actually SOFT, can you believe it? Wow!
The downside? There are several: Once again, Mattel has stapled and fastened this doll to death. Four plastic staples in the head, alone. And it's impossible to cut them down flat without harming the hairdo. Why is it necessary to keep anchoring the collectible dolls' heads to the cardboard, at all? What is the point? Every Barbie collectible l doll I own has sharp plastic points sticking through her hair and you can never enjoy combing or touching it. Seriously, do Barbie heads really require multiple anchors to maintain their display position? Also, there is so much plastic piercing the clothes and poking holes in the legs that removing the doll from the cardboard takes an eternity. And quite wasteful packaging, btw.
Finally, the doll stand, itself, is not the proper height for this Barbie. You have to slide the waist grip all the way to the very top of the stand in order to keep the doll upright, and it keeps slipping off.
Still, this is in no way the fault of the doll, herself. And her loveliness makes up for all my complaints.
I am in full agreement with the other reviewer regarding the packaging. It's frustrating, and complete overkill. What is with stapling the head to the box? I can't stand it. And although my doll did not have the heavy shellac on her hair like I've had with their other reproductions, mine still had this weird oily residue. I was able to get it clean but still, this was not necessary. Mattel, can you please just leave the hair alone so we collectors can enjoy it? No staples, no hair gunk.
That being said, I am really looking forward to what else Mattel has in mind for their collector series. Barring the packaging and hair treatment annoyances these dolls are a lovely addition to my collection.
For those of us who cannot, yet, afford true Vintage American Girl Barbies (the most costly of the vintage Barbies of the same years) the reproductions allow us to enjoy their beauty, and this collector is pleased to have one of her own! Note: I have my eye on a second American Girl repro, with Titan hair, titled Fashion Luncheon...
This is American Girl Barbie really is quite lovely. She has such sophistication to her. I especially appreciate the fine detailing and construction of her clothing. I didn't have that luxury of nice Barbie clothes when I was a kid! As other reviewers have noted, the stand doesn't measure up. You can still stand her up but her feet sort of dangle off the edge of the platform.
I'd recommend this set to any Barbie fan!

Wow!

Mattel gets an A from me on reproducing this doll. She's beautiful, with lovely facial color and gorgeous hair. She looks fabulous in Matinee Fashion (yes, I remove them from the box). I was too young for this version of Barbie when she first came out, but I leaped at the chance to buy the reproduction. She's a lovely addition to my collection.I am in full agreement with the other reviewer regarding the packaging. It's frustrating, and complete overkill. What is with stapling the head to the box? As previously put forth by the other two reviewers...THIS DOLL IS BEAUTIFUL. I am an adult (born the same year Barbie was created) Vintage Barbie collector operating on a working woman's budget. This is my first (and so far only) American Girl Barbie. The authentic vintage American Girl Barbies are beyond my financial reach. This lovely reproduction, purchased for about $30, is financially feasable, and simply adored. I purchased mine from an Amazon vendor, "new without box". She also came minus the stand but that does not detract from her beauty. Her hair is not laquered in place but does have that oily residue described by another reviewer. I have not tried to wash it out for fear of damaging her.For those of us who cannot, yet, afford true Vintage American Girl Barbies (the most costly of the vintage Barbies of the same years) the reproductions allow us to enjoy their beauty, and this collector is pleased to have one of her own! I'm happy to have this in my collection. When you have limited funds to use on yourself, one must be careful. The original vintage counterpart I would never have been able to finance. Happy happy happyFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Barbie Collector My Favorite American Girl
I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s but was always fascinated by vintage Barbie. In 1996, I got my first repro Barbie (enchanted evening). Fast forward many years later, and I discovered Mattel had made many more vintage reproductions! This is American Girl Barbie really is quite lovely. She has such sophistication to her. Good material and well made! We also bought the shoes and they go well together. My daughter loves it. She wears polo dress to school all the time (Ralph Lauren Polo dress with pleated skirt). So they kind of match. I wish there were more colors or striped polo dress like this one. Will buy more from this company!Best Deals for 18 Inch Dolls Clothes Outfit Fit for American Girl Dolls, Pink 18"
