My granddaughter is into High School Musical. I had purchased her the Gabriella and Sharpay Sing Together Dolls and she saw Troy on the back of the box and asked me to get him for her. Of course, he was hard to find. I could not find him at any of the stores so I relied on my Amazon.com amd received the doll in a few days. My 4 year old granddaughter sings along with the doll all the time. Now if I could just find a singing Ryan Doll.

This doll is very cute. Her outfit and accessories are nice too. This was a vintage piece, so it had some shelf wear to it. However, it makes a nice addition to anyone collecting african-american barbies or career barbies.

Barbie I Can Be Splash and Spin Dolphin Trainer Doll Review

I bought this for my cousin's daughter recently for her 6th birthday. She was really excited to get it!

PROS:

-Works really easily! My almost 9 year old and 12 year old children were able to help her to get it out of the box and to put it together, so it really is easy for kids.

-Belt is removable. That is the good thing! You can put the belt on her or take it off this way you can play with Barbie with the dolphins or without them!

-How it works! It works really well. You push the button up to lock things into place and then twist the dial. When you've twisted it all the way you want you then push the button down and the dolphins spin around! They got them spinning REALLY fast and they didn't fly off or break so I'm definitely happy with that!

-Weighted flippers. The flippers are weighted making it MUCH easier to play with Barbie in the water!!

-Squirter! The littlest dolphin squirts water! It's always good for making mom wet :D

CONS:

-Small parts. The fish are TINY and could be lost really, REALLY easily.

-Parts don't move much. Once you get the dolphins into place her arms have to stay pretty much as they are in the photo. You can move them a bit, but nowhere near as much as you can move a lot of the Barbies parts.

VERDICT:

It's definitely a great Barbie toy, especially since it goes in the water! I'll keep you posted on how durable it is!

Calico Critters Carry and Play House Review

There is a lovely little toy store near me that has a great selection of calico critters. Whenever I went in with my oldest, she would only ever play with the calico critters house and figures that were set out for display. She loved them so much I decided to purchase the carrying case, rabbit family and 3 sets of furniture. I bought this for my daughter a few years ago before our regular trips to see the grandparents in NYC. It really is great for traveling. She is 5 and 1/2 and she still loves to play with this set. The carrying case is very well made and lovely with great storage capacity in 3 sturdy drawers. When opened up, it really is like a little dollhouse. My one quibble would be that the latching system is not adequate. But other then that, a great investment for my daughter.

My daughter just turned 3 and she loves the Calico Critters! I received this case in the mail the day before her birthday and I removed the plastic to check it out before I wrapped it. I tried to open the latch the very first time and the latch came off in my hands! It is only attached to the cardboard frame by what look like 4 small eyeglass screws. I tried to put them back in (after searching the floor for the tiny screws!) but the holes were stripped and it was impossible to put them back in. My daughter loves the case and plays with her critters in there all the time, but they should be able to find a better way to attach the latch!

My daughter already has a dollhouse, so I was reluctant to get her Calico Critters complete with their own house. I saw the Carrying Case as a happy compromise. I'm pleased: the Carrying Case makes a very suitable home, and I've not had the problems other reviewers had with the latch. Perhaps they've fixed that problem.

So far, we've acquired three playsets ("Halley and Colin Have Fun at the Park" and "A Carriage Ride for Connor and Kerri" and "Zach and Sandy's Bike Riding Adventure"), bunk beds, and the Norwood Mouse twins, and have ample room to store more stuff in the case. My daughter adores her Calico Critters (and they are adorable, in spite of being ridiculously overpriced!), and it all stores in less than 5" of space on a shelf.

This is a great place to keep all your critters and the little tiny pieces that come with the sets. It's a moderately good setup for using as a house (just to begin with) but once you get a few furniture sets, it is not practical. We have a number of sets and can keep the critters, multiple families, and furniture all inside. We are about to upgrade to a 'house' but this has served its purpose for almost three years.

It's made of a very sturdy pressed board with a wipeable printed surface. There are three drawers, two smaller and one larger. The drawers go in securely but can easily be pulled out with the finger hole opening.

Since the bottom (floor) flips up before closing the doors, it holds all pieces inside securely.

There is a metal clasp to keep it all shut.

A nice case for a young child to carry it all around.

I have bought lots of the Calico Critters family series from Amazon and when I saw this case, I thought it would be a great compromise i.e. not having to buy the more expensive Calico Critter houses. Besides, my daughter already has a large wooden dollhouse built by her dad. As a lot of the Calico Critter play sets come with tiny accessories, this carry n play case is practical as it has sufficient storage space for them. Also, this is a great case to bring along on play dates, or when traveling. My daughter was able to store some furniture, accessories, and up to a dozen Calico Critters in it when we traveled recently. My only complaint is the latch which is not strongly reinforced and opens easily. So, one has to be extra careful when carrying the case. But overall, I'd rate this item as a great alternative to purchasing the more expensive homes in the series, and a practical way to store and transport the critters and accessories.

The recommended age says up to 4, but my daughter got it for her 5th. birthday and loves it because she is able to take this soft doll to bed, now she wants the entire Princess set, but I am shocked to see that their price has doubled in the last 6 months. I bought this for my niece's first birthday. What a sweet doll, easy to hold onto and hug. I don't agree at all with the previous reviewer's opinion that the skirt is too short. It's not like the baby Snow White is wearing provocative undies or anything, she's wearing a cute "Shirley Temple" length skirt, with the appropriate undergarments. Adorable.

Snow White is a favorite movie in our house, and this doll does not disappoint! And what you get, for the price is (if you get it in stores) fantastic! You get a Snow White doll, a picnic basket (with a cute illustration of the toddler princess on the front), a rabbit, a blanket, a carton of apple juice, a glass, a fork, a spatula (correct me if I got that wrong), an apple with a bite in it (how ironic!), two sandwiches on a plate, and a pie (probably apple) divided into four separate pieces in its own platter. The dress that the Snow White doll comes in with this set is NOT the same dress as the basic Snow White toddler doll, and, in my opinion, a better one. Also, I love how they have the food separate (not all clumped together, or stuck to its plate), but they probably can get lost easily that way. This is a great set to get for a princess fan, a Snow White fan, or just someone who wants to have a picnic with their doll!

This is a very cool and edgy doll in a punk-ish type outfit. She is extremely pretty and has goth type make-up. The sturdiness of the doll is great, she's made of a heavier plastic than the typical Barbie. We like her proportions longer arms, bigger hands and feet than traditional Barbies. She can wear some Barbie clothing, but not all. She can't wear typical Barbie shoes. The red streaks in her hair and her heavy eyeliner are well done. Too bad her legs do not move. This was a slight disappointment. She would be better if her legs moved. A fully posable version would be great too.

She's a lovely doll, and there's a lot of nice detail. I for one like the rooted eyelashes and fashion tights. But this is most definitely not a doll for children; not even older children. She has three points of articulation total: the neck and the arms. There's absolutely no budging the legs or the waist, so she's very good at standing upright but if you're looking for a neat-o keen doll to play with and/or dress up, you're better off looking at the Barbie Basics line. They won't pop apart at a little rough handling, unlike the Crimson Diva here.

This is one bad toy. I don't think any responsible father or mother has ever purchased this toy for their own child. Like others have said, this vacuum sucks, but not the way you would hope. It will actually blow the glitter around if you're not careful. The stickers are double sided which could be difficult for younger children. And they really don't stick easily to the dress. They sort of crumple. If you have an enemy, this might be a great gift to get for their child. Their house will never be free of glitter again.

My 6 year old daughter received this Barbie for a Christmas gift. She absolutely loves Barbies and she loves glitter..seemed perfect. Fortunately she took the Barbie to grandma's house, it was a complete mess. Glitter went everywhere and the vacuum didn't work at all. It got thrown away shortly after opened. The Barbie is pretty and can be played with even without the glitter/vacuum. We are finding the glitter on everything. Overall, I would not suggest it especially if you don't like messes.

We bought all of these Princess dolls. Amazon had a great price, and my daughter loved her first one, Belle. We haven't been disappointed with any of them. They are all unique with their little accessories, and are very beautiful as well. They are all posable with flowing hair. The slippers are adorable as well as the tights. We thought all of the outfits were well made and plan on giving these as gifts to friends and family in the future they are just that beautiful.
