Last week, when I asked my granddaughter what she wanted me to get her for her upcoming 3rd birthday, she whispered very softly and sweetly, A doll. Of course, what the little miss wants what the little miss gets...but I had standards, very lofty standards, before I added anything to my Cart. For one thing, the doll would have to match my granddaughter's features fairly closely, but not be too lifelike to be almost scary (as some dolls are). She'd have to have an expression that invited play and would be easy to love. She'd have to be something my very petite granddaughter could comfortably carry herself; otherwise, we all know who'd have to hold onto the doll when we go to the aquarium, a long walk, or shopping again and again and again!

This doll's face, though very realistic, is so darn adorable that I have no doubt my granddaughter will fall in love soon as she opens the box. My only regret's that the doll she now loves just might be relegated to the toy box. (For that, I'm sorry, Little G!)

Adora dolls are sold at a local store, so I knew what to expect in terms of quality. The selection at this particular local store is fairly limited, and the dolls actually cost more than what's available on amazon. I ordered Baby Love Pink on Wednesday afternoon and here it is, Monday evening, package safely delivered...with 4 days to spare before the Big Day. I am pleased with both the wonderful, prompt service and the perfect gift, the doll that's bound to win my most deserving granddaughter's heart!

I was looking for a horse for a well-known 18" doll brand and was unwilling to pay the $100+ price tag for the horse in that brand. I searched for a less expensive alternative and I was very pleased to find this horse. The coat is a velvety fabric and the tackle is a sturdy plastic. The details are well done, and although played with often, am not seeing any signs of wear after 3 months of play....and it fits the 'AG' doll perfectly at half the price!!!

My daughter likes this horse and it is a nice toy, however I paid $60 here and then a few days later was in Costco and they had them for $30 among the Christmas Toys. Costco is hit and miss for getting things and I imagine they will not have more until Christmas 2013, but the horse from Costco was pose-able, all four legs, compared to the new AG horse for Saige that sells for about $120 and only has one pose-able leg. The horse from Costco came with full tack, a feed bag, and pretend carrots I believe, AG charges extra for all of these items. If you can find the horses at Costco over the holidays then by all means snap them up, if not this horse will do but does not have the bells and whistles of the Costco horse. My daughter is happy with both and plays with both. They both hold the dolls up and stand nicely. She loves braiding the tails and manes on both horses. I bought the one on Amazon with a coupon they gave me for some promotion or another and that is why I never sent it back.

Grandma gave this horse to my daughter for xmas to go with her 18" doll, and the horse stole the show. My daughter grooms it with the included curry brush, carries it around everywhere, and pretends to be her riding teacher helping the doll take care of her horse. The fact that the horse is covered in soft fabric definitely increases the fun of the grooming, and the mane and tail are very soft and silky and seem to be holding up to the "love" they are getting every day. We are very pleased with the quality of this toy and I will definitely be looking into buying clothes and other accessories from this brand.

My littler swimmer was so excited to get this set for her American Girl doll! We like to dress McKenna up for the sports and activities that my daughter participates in.

We love the matching swim cap. There's not many swim caps out there for dolls, and we love this one. There's no way we can get McKenna's hair inside the cap, but that's not a big deal for us. We just put the hair in a ponytail and let it hang out the back of the cap.

My five year old daughter loves her Lalaloopsy dolls. She has never been a doll lover, but she has totally gone nuts over these particular dolls. I think it's because of their fun, colorful, whimsical look. As a parent, I like the fact that they have a plastic body because they are easily wiped clean. Their hair is even plastic, so you don't have to worry about a tangled mess of hair. Their heads are quite heavy, so smaller children may have difficulty carrying them around. All Lalaloopsy dolls have a "sewn on date" which represents their personality. All dolls come with a pet. Pillow Featherbed comes with a pet sheep. Buying through Amazon has been a positive experience.

I bought two of these dolls for my almost 4 year old daughter for Christmas. At first I wasn't quite sure about them but they really grew on me! We have two more now with one more on the way from ToysRus.

Impressions

-The head is heavy but my daughter doesn't seem to mind.

-The arms and feet are very smooth so they are easy to get the clothes and shoes on and off. My daughter can do it herself without help which I LOVE!

-They each come with a little poster which my daughter really liked.

Negatives

-Not enough clothes! Make more accessories.

-Packaging is terrible, I thought I was going to sustain major injuries trying to get the darn things out! There are several plastic hang tags that stick into the back of the dolls head. I recommend pulling her straight out of the package, then cutting the large part of the plastic tags off. Then you can push the remaining plastic pieces back into the head.

In the future I would like to see a whole line of clothing for these, as well as more varying hair styles.

The doll is adorable. My ten year old daughter loves her. The thing I don't like about the doll is the way it's put together. The head is extremely heavy. It's made of hard plastic which isn't very cuddily. The buttons are too loose on the clothing & fall off very easily (my daughter has already lost 2 buttons on her doll). I would say this doll is more of a collectible item than a toy. It has a fun story behind it & makes it desirable to collect more outfits & the other dolls in the collection. Overall, I like the doll & so does my daughter. I just wouldn't recommend it as a toy & I would suggest to the manufacturer that they take better care in assembling the clothing. I'm not happy with online sellers reselling these dolls at twice the MSRP. I wouldn't pay this much for another one of these dolls.

As you can see, this doll is pricey...the reason? She is the 1st of the Lalaloopsy dolls, therfore considered a collector item. My 3 year old doesn't know the meaning of collectors item when it comes to a doll. She just wanted it because she loves this doll. She especially decided she wanted Pillow after watching the new movie in which Pillow is the center of the whole plot. Of course I looked around and tried to find her anywhere I could for the best price that I could. I won her on ebay for 30.00 plus 12.00 shipping and even with how expensive that is, I still got it at a good deal. When I received the doll, her sheep had black smudges on its face even though it was NIB. (I guess thats why you should shop Amazon) however, when cleaned with a magic eraser the smuges instantly came off and it was new again. My daughter loves this doll. She sleeps with her every night and counts to 5 with her sheep (it has a 5 marked on its behind and its in the movie)What amazes me is how much I love the doll. These dolls are made out of hard plastic, but I already knew that before I even started buying them. This doll wears a soft set of feety pajamas with a mock "butt flap" ADORABLE!!!! Her pajamas are two different shades of pink striped with orange and white accents like a heart on the leg. The pajamas fit her so cute. Her hairstyle is a very cute purple ringlets with a dark pink bow. The cutest part? An eye mask made of the same materials with "Do not disturb" in cursive and a tiny orange button as the o in not! My daughter is especially fond of the mask. I am so glad I snatched this doll up even if I had to pay a little more than my husband would have liked for a simple doll. This doll is definitly in my daughter's top 3 favorites and might just be in my top 2!!!

I got this for my granddaughters birthday. She wanted an American Doll wardrobe, but for the outrageous price I could not afford it. Heh, heh, heh..we have these earthlings so fooled. First off, I am included with a glow-in-the-dark stand that cannot be in direct sunlight for any amount of time, or the stand will not glow anymore. What kid or hassled caretaker will remember to stow the stand away to avoid this pitfall? Even my notes on the stand are oxymoronish: "Glow-in-the-dark feature has a lengthy but limited lifespan". And confusing: "The longer the exposure to light, the more and longer the stand will glow." Ha! Did I mention the back tips of my boots? The humans better watch out...they are sharp enough to inflict pain...hmmm...maybe I should have been more sutble. My left arm falls off every six minutes, and replacement is futile. Heck, it was even unconnected to my torso before I was removed from my plastic hibernation pod. My necklace is so strange that even the mother-figure is wary of removal. Yes, attachment of unnecessary Velcro to hard, tight plastic is unheard of on Earth. My long eyelashes trap stray hairs in my face so that I look constantly disheveled. My mascot was designed by a comrade who failed art school. Yes, yes, the headband...my packaging handle can be transformed into a headband that possesses no beauty. It is slightly uncomfortable and has unsightly pegs on the side that enabled the headband to be held to the packaging rods and said pegs cannot be removed. Of course this headband performs mind control! Do I look like an idiot? O.K., O.K., you got me there...Anyway, earth-mom has suggested nine times that earth-child should take me back to retail establishment, but earth-child refuses. Any potential enjoyment has been nullified. Plan is in effect. Nocturnal slumbering is imminent. Ha, ha!

Added Human Data (11/2/12): We brought Una back to Target on 10/25/12, nine days after obtaining her. Her packaging was in shambles, so do not be dissuaded by that fact if you are considering returning her. We have been burned before by poorly constructed toys, so I now keep all receipts on my fridge for three months max, and I keep the packaging until I am sure the toy is a keeper. I swear that I heard her cursing me as I left my husband to dismiss her from our solar system. Thanks for the votes!

Like other people have said, the packaging....ugh. I worked up a sweat and a few choice words getting her out. Arms fell off right away. My daughter is 8.5 and very careful of her toys. So much so, that at night she takes the dolls arm off so it won't be lost in the morning. Notice i said arm, as in singular, because as careful as she was, she still lost an arm. We have wasted HOURS looking for it, but since it is see through and less than 2 inches, it was impossible. She still plays with her, even though she only has 1 arm. How sad. I spend 18.00 on it, and it was junk coming out of the package....arm lost after 1 DAY. Biggest rip off ever. And it's too bad, because she really is an adorable doll.

Not by Madame Alexander ~ made by Kids N Kats. This is a really beautiful dress! It barely fits a larger Gotz girl like 19.5 inch Hannah or Sarah. The other components are problematic for larger dolls and possibly standard size. The black foam shoe bottoms stained the maufacturer's box. I am not sure why. The shoes are pink vinyl and were a little crushed by manufacturer's packaging. The gloves are tiny and wouldn't fit a most smaller American Girl type dolls I'm guessing. The tights are tiny and may be too small for standard size dolls. There is a strip of silk with flowers that is too small for a hair band, maybe a necklace?? Overall this product is okay in quality but completely overpriced at $47. More like $25 would be fair. I wouldn't buy any more Kids N Kats clothing based on this experience and because I own a larger size doll (48 cm).

This is such a cute Pink Box Collectible (I wouldn't say 'play line' because I don't think it would hold up to the 'play' part of that).

Okay, I'm a Mackie-Mouth fan, and try to stay away from the 'toothy' Barbies.. but this one is just too cute!!! She has a very innocent looking face, a cute outfit (with 'Shrek ears' and green shoes to match!), and is just darn cute if you love Barbie and/or Shrek. The Fashion Fever green-base stand works perfectly with her Shrek-green theme, and holds her up perfectly.

This isn't the most amazing doll in the world, but she sure is fun & cute. :) Not for kids under 7, I'd say. The 'Shrek-ears' could very easily be swallowed or, more likely, just lost. Without the 'ears', the doll would just be another Barbie in jammies, as far as I'm concerned. :)

My son calls this his motorcycle (well, it is a Kawasaki, right?). First off... he is very hard on toys! So far the only thing that is suffering on his bike are the stickers. He is only 35" tall and he cannot really peddle the bike just yet. He scoots and knows his feet are suppose to be on the peddles. He does get a little frustrated but I swear that if we had gotten this when he was younger (he's 2) he would have never learned to walk because he's been riding it since his first diaper change this morning.

This is just a bike and it does not make any special sounds, requires no batteries, nor is there much distraction with flashy characters and massive decoration. Putting it together requires a hammer and a screwdriver. The hammer is very important because the rear wheel assembly is very tight. It wasn't greatly difficult but you did have to make sure you followed the instructions on this one. We put it together in 10 or 15 minutes. Probably 15 since the boy was trying to help. The space under the seat is actually pretty big. He has a play phone he keeps in it plus his cheerios cup and a sippy cup can fit. So far so good... but we did just get it. If it breaks I'll update this with a time of how long it lasted.

UPDATE! 04.03.2013

We just now passed this tricycle on to another little boy. At 4 years old my boy is now on a real bike and we just didn't need this one. It looks exactly as it did when we got it with only slight wear on the stickers. It was left out on our patio in the hot morning sun, rain, sprinklers, cold and such. It showed no fading nor brittleness of the plastic after nearly 2 years. Woohoo!

I purchased this toy for my 2.5yo because we bought him a bigger bike and he wasn't tall enough to use it (plus he hasn't quite figured pedaling out yet).

Regarding the child's size... my son is 38" tall at 2.5yo, he's about 30lbs, long legs and arms. If your child is SHORTER than this, he/she will be able to push with their feet no problems. When my son uses his feet to push him along, he hits the back wheels and it "jolts" a lot, but he can move it, he figured a way to take shorter steps.

Regarding the "slipping" of the wheels... yes, the wheels do slip; however, if you use it on the sidewalk a few times and the wheels get a little "rough" it seems to not slip as much, but its not enough to deter the child from using the pedals. An older kid rode the bike and it slipped a little for him going up a hill, but on the flat parts it didn't. My son of course tried it on the hardwood floors and it slipped BIG TIME.

Regarding the construction... I was able to put it together by myself in about 20-25 minutes, but I do read the instructions. I recommend putting the "seat" on AFTER you put the handles on... the angle of the screwdriver isn't "steep" enough when the seat is there, I had to put the seat part up in order to keep from stripping the screw. When putting the back wheels together, DEFINITELY have something "hard" under the opposite wheel when putting the little metal caps on. You definitely need a hammer, unless you are REALLY strong, but I still recommend the hammer.

Regarding tipping... we tried to "tip" it with our fingertips w/o my son on it and the front wheel turned ALL the way to the side and it didn't tip. My son rode it down a small hill, feet up (not on the pedals), and went to stop with his feet and almost tipped over. So, does it tip easily simply by riding it "correctly" no, not that I've seen (I think the weight in the back wheels keeps that from happening), but DO make your child wear a helmet in case they decide to do crazy things on it! :) Its low enough to the ground that if it does tip they shouldn't get TOO hurt, but you definitely don't want them bonking their head!

Overall the toy seems to be good construction, easy to put together, and fun for the kids, but you as the consumer need to be aware of your CHILD (their height, weight, and action on the bike).

We bought this trike for our 2-year-old for his birthday because he LOVES motorcycles. He calls it his motorcycle bike and rides it everywhere. It has been on dirt, gravel, grass, and of course, the sidewalk. The pedals are a little far out, but he can push it with his feet. He is pretty rough on it, he loves to go fast and turn corners even faster, but it has only tipped on him once. I don't think any bike could have withstood that turn :) The tires, pedals, and all parts have withstood his craziness amazingly well. It was pretty easy to assemble and well worth the purchase. We thought about getting him a radio flyer, and he ended up getting one from grandparents, but we all like this one better. The Radio Flyer tips fairly easily and he still can't reach the pedals on that one, but it's also higher so he can't push himself quite as well with his feet, either. This is THE trike to purchase-it will be well worth your money!

While the manufacturer recommends for kids 24 months and older, my 2 year old son who is quite tall (3 feet, 95th percentile) can just reach the pedals and it will be few more inches of growth before he can pedal the trike.
