I am so disappointed in the doll I received. This was my 5th Madame Alexander Favorite Friend doll purchase, as they are a much more affordable companion to the American Girl Doll. While we have been so satisfied in the past, this doll was a complete disappointment. The leggings and boot color were different and the hair looked nothing like the photo, which was the reason for purchasing the doll. The head was not stable and the quality was just not the same as my other purchases. I became quickly suspicious because the face and eyes looked different than the other dolls, so I contacted yoyo.com directly and through them, ended up speaking with Madame Alexander directly. In the end it was discovered I had purchased a counterfeit Madame Alexander Doll. yoyo.com says the doll has been flagged and the powers-that-be will be notified, but I am still deeply disturbed that a 'reputable' toy company could be so careless as to distribute such poor quality counterfeit merchandise. Huge lesson learned. yoyo.com is refunding my money and I went directly to Madame Alexander and purchased a replacement. I will be buying direct from now on! If your doll comes without the braided hair, send it back and demand a refund! Madame Alexander says they always sell the doll you see, they never tweak the appearance!

Thank you for all the helpful comments about this doll! Rest assured that there is NOT an issue with counterfeiting with this doll. What happened is that we sometimes use pre-production samples to photograph the dolls, and on the road to production changes may be made. That was the case with this doll. She began with a braided hairstyle and ended with a hairstyle pulled back in three places. We re-shot her but not all retailers have updated the image they are using, and this is what is causing the confusion. We sincerely apologize! I bought this doll for my 7 year old daughter for her birthday. The doll is beautiful. The outfit is exactly as pictured; however, her hair did not come braided (which I really wanted) but it was all pulled back in a cute style. I guess we can always braid her hair like the picture so thats okay. This doll will make a great addition to my daughter's growing Madame Alexander doll collection.

When I ordered t his doll it was supposed to have the braids on the sides of the hair and did not. It was thrown up in 4 pink ribbons that looked terrible. DO NOT BUY this set of Doll Clothes. They are so cheaply made, the stitching quality is poor, the seams are not finished so there is a lot of unraveling and some of the items arrived already damaged. There were 4 outfits, 1 shirt was ripped at the cuff and one of the snap buttons on the overalls was already detached from the fabric. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.

My 6 year old daughter stumbled upon the Heart to Heart dolls in March when we went to Toys R Us to use Christmas gift cards. She looked through isles and found a nice selection of these girls stuck on a bottom shelf on a mixed assortment isle. They had all the dolls at this time. I felt bad I did not let her pick two (after all it was her Christmas money). Now they are scarce. I am not sure if they are no longer making them or if they are just quite popular. I find the dolls to be a smaller/nicer version of the American Girl doll minus moving eyes and that horrible cloth body. They are all plastic/vinyl. I was lucky to find this one online at a better price than Toys R Us!!! This was her fist pick. I stopped at 3 stores on our way to Disney and these dolls are about GONE!

The directions will not tell you this, but after many trials we've finally figured it out. First, dry the hair with a hair dryer. The colored parts will turn blond. Then you will see one streak of hair that is almost white. This is the section that you put the stencils on. Use the brush and icy cold water and it should work.

Though this one isn't too bad (once we figured it out), Mattel continues to disappoint me with just about everything they make. The plastic accessories that come with the toys are so cheap and breakable, and some things don't even stand up on their own that are supposed to. Pretty uncool for a classic brand.

My 4 yr daughter likes the doll but the shapes that are on the little clip on pc's don't

appear as they are suppose to so the best thing to do with this doll is dip its

head in cold water then hotter water.

But it did keep my daughger occupied for a lenghty amount of time and so far

2 weeks later she stll begs to make a mess on the floor dipping the dolls head

Doll's hair is really greasy, which kind of grossed me out. My five year old daughter enjoys making the hair turn different colors, but as a previous commenter mentioned, the stencils don't work very well. The doll's hair was already different colors out of the box, and you'll need to heat the hair with a hair dryer or hot water before you can use the stencils. Otherwise its a cute doll, but I wish I had purchased the kind with the normal hair instead.

This doll is a joke. My 4 year old daughter decided to spend her Christmas money on this doll. The instructions that come with it appear pretty easy, however, the hair would not just change with warm or cold water. After reading reviews, thankfully someone else figured it out. You have to blow dry the colored hair and then it will work. Even then, only a small portion of the hair actually changes colors. The stencils are an absolute joke..to put it simply they DO NOT work. All hair coloring turns out like a blob.

I picked this up for our 3 year old on our way to do piles of paperwork with the bank and it kept her completely engrossed for the hours that we were there (and she still loves it weeks later). She is just completely smitten with the exploring clothes and boots, the swimsuit with flippers and snorkeling mask, the binoculars that polly can wear, the hat "so she doesn't get sunburned," and the open rucksack (which is great for carrying Calico Critter food on these expeditions). You could buy Polly toys that cost 3 times as much (like that airplane) that wouldn't get you nearly the bang for your buck. This one was really well done.

Purchased for my 5 year old Barbie enthusiast. She asked for a long time for it. Easy to put together because it easily false apart. The backdrop is nearly impossible to switch around and it is challenging to get doll attached to holder. 3+ age is ridiculous. She is 5 and it made her cry from frustration trying to play with it. I bought this as a birthday present for my 5 year old who's an avid ballerina and 'Barbie in the Pink Shoes' fan. It did not disappoint...Barbie does three full turns on her stage which is larger than I expected...her arms are a bit stiff for changes in ballet poses but I suppose they loosen up over usage. The backdrop is a bit tricky to secure as it's a little too short for the restrains at the ends of the stage curtains at the back but not such a big problem as once it's secure it more or less stays in place. Overall, a good buy.

This set includes enough parts to make two complete doll bodies with clothes. However, there is only one pair of shoes, one doll stand, and one wig.

The wig included in this set is decent. There is a peg inside the wig cap that fits into a hole in the doll's head to keep the wig in place. The wig in my set was very unevenly cut, which is very noticeable in a short hairstyle, and had to be washed and trimmed in order to look nice. As for an extra wig for the second doll, Liv wigs work nicely and appear to be of better quality.

The doll bodies are easy to snap together, and both dolls have holes in their backs for attaching wings and a tail if you choose to do so. I was very please with the witch doll; she looks good enough to be a part of the regular Monster High crew. However, I could do without the cat doll. I don't like the way her ears are supposed to clip onto the wig. It could work, but not the way they have it designed. I couldn't get the ears to look good. (Maybe you will have better luck!)

The clothes that come with this set are just ok. They are definitely lacking the detail of regular Monster High doll clothing. The little black dress is pretty cute, but the black top and animal print skirt just look cheap. Since the clothes are meant to be mixed and matched with other create-a-monster sets, they have cutouts in the back for a tail and wings. I would recommend buying a few fashion packs, if you can find them, for the extra shoes and clothing options.

Overall, I would definitely buy this again. I payed around $19 for it at my local Target. Since that's normally the price of one Monster High doll, and you're getting two, I figure it's a good deal. I don't mind if the clothes and accessories in the set are cheaper in order to keep the cost down. So, if you love the look of the witch or the cat, buy this set!

so i read all the reveiw's about the create amonster's. and how crap they are, and how they fall about. i have yet to have that problem. the monster's were easy to put together and have STAYED together. i see no problem's other then the one wig. that is aproblem, since the cat create a monster need's it for her ear's. and i was surpised when i opened it and saw thier was one stand. the bio about the prodect said no stand. so i ask that you add it to the list of item's it comes with so people know. i own alot of monster high dolls, and these are the perfect add on's to my collection.

First off, there's only one wig ,so half the time she's bald. Also the ears are a pain. No one could put them on and when my dad finally did it looked ridiculous. The ears are very cheap looking as well. I like the tail but it keeps on falling off. The good things about them is that the wig looked alot better that I thought it would. This product was not as shown. The dress we received came with a collar and puffy sleeves with jewels on it. The lace trim was 2 layers and covered up the shiny satin and the lace was unsewn on the bottom so it looks frayed. Shoes are not as shown they are taller and have a tie bow that goes over the shoes. I wanted to write this review because I thought the description is lacking and when we received it I was surprised by what all it does!My daughter is a die hard Hannah fan and when I saw this was coming out I knew I had to get it.She plays with it all the time.First there is a little assembly required but it only took me a few minutes to figure it out.At the back of the stage there is an attatched doll stand with clamps at the waist and legs to hold hannah on the stage and there is a knob at the front to move her from behind stage to the front and you can move it once she is to the front to make it look like she is dancing.One of the coolest things is when you first have her back stage the speakers sound off as fans chanting "Hannah,Hannah!" and there are doors so when you pull the knob/rod she comes through the door and all the fans start cheering,how cool is that? Then one of either 2 of her songs start playing,Best of both worlds and Who said.These songs aren't complete but there is a port so you can hook up an mp3 player if you want,I have not tried this because my daughter dosen't have one...Don't expect stero quality sound but it is audible and clear enough to understand everything.There are also lights around the floor of the stage that light up.The stage doors are hindged so the doll can push right through but you will have to push them back into place.I couldn't remember the accessories that came with the stage because we have had it for over a month but my duaghter said it came with a doll size backstage pass,guitar,microphone and 2 roses.As for the quality it is pretty good.One time so far one of the stage doors came off but I easilly popped it back on and most of the stage is pretty solid.It went beyond my expectaitons for what I thought we would get considering it is a celebrity toy but we are very happy with this toy!

I bought this stage for my 6 year old daughter's birthday. I am sure she would give this toy 5 stars. She has a lot of fun playing with it and loves Hannah Montana. I am just wondering how long her interest will last. The stage only plays two songs...and each song is only about 15 seconds long. If you own an MP3 or iPod, I guess it would solve this problem--there is a connection for these.

The stage has a doll stand that holds a regular sized barbie doll or Hannah Montana doll and a metal rod pull is used to make her come through the stage doors and move back and forth. That's about it. The box says "5 exciting light shows"...I can't really tell the difference between them. I would have given this toy a higher rating if it wasn't for the hefty price of $60. Now that I see it out of the box, I can't understand why they priced this toy so high. In my opinion, it is definitely not worth $60.

My daughter got this for Christmas and loves it. She plugs her Disney mix stick into it that is loaded with Hannah Montana songs and listens for hours. There is a switch at the bottom to turn the thing off, be sure and do so or it will run through batteries fast. The sound is fine, not too loud or distorted in my opinion. Make sure and snap the top of the stage down all the way (with some force) or it will fall apart when your child plays with it, the other thing is our's stopped working about 10 days into using it. It was a simple battery connection problem-just bend the metal pieces out a bit on the positive battery post side and it was fixed.
