I looked a long time to find a basic baby doll that my daughters could play with one that was cute, didn't pee on the potty, talk back, giggle, cry, require batteries, etc. This is harder than it sounds in this day and age. We wanted a doll that would allow the girls to use their own imagination instead of being fed an automated voice. This particular Little Mommy doll is the best one I found (there are MANY variations). I got one for my toddler for the holidays, and my preschooler plays with it so much, I bought one for her too. They are not into princesses (my preschooler is mostly into dinosaurs), so I made them some new attire, but they are wonderful. It's impossible to see this online, but the body is soft (easier for toddlers to carry around and huggable) and flexible and the head, arms and legs are hard plastic. The girls love them. My only complaint would be the scent the baby doll has when first opened you definitely smell the plastic, but there is an overriding scent of baby powder that has lingered over the months we've had it. I could do without the scent, but the girls don't seem to mind.

This doll is made very well and is very durable. If your toddler is into princess everything I would definitely recommend this one. I have this doll for my granddaughters to play with when they visit. I also have the Little Mommy "Holiday" and "Night, Night" dolls which they prefer over this one. My granddaughters are toddlers almost 2 years old.

I purchased this doll back in 2009 from a store here in Cincinnati for my little girl's first easter. She named her Baby Allie, and has carried her around since. A week ago, someone at my daughter's school stole her original baby Allie, and I needed a replacement QUICK! I placed my order on a Friday night, and received the doll the very next Tuesday! Way to be a life saver! I can finally get some sleep, and my 5 1/2 year old little girl is thrilled to have her favorite doll again :)

I am so disappointed in the doll I received. This was my 5th Madame Alexander Favorite Friend doll purchase, as they are a much more affordable companion to the American Girl Doll. While we have been so satisfied in the past, this doll was a complete disappointment. The leggings and boot color were different and the hair looked nothing like the photo, which was the reason for purchasing the doll. The head was not stable and the quality was just not the same as my other purchases. I became quickly suspicious because the face and eyes looked different than the other dolls, so I contacted yoyo.com directly and through them, ended up speaking with Madame Alexander directly. In the end it was discovered I had purchased a counterfeit Madame Alexander Doll. yoyo.com says the doll has been flagged and the powers-that-be will be notified, but I am still deeply disturbed that a 'reputable' toy company could be so careless as to distribute such poor quality counterfeit merchandise. Huge lesson learned. yoyo.com is refunding my money and I went directly to Madame Alexander and purchased a replacement. I will be buying direct from now on! If your doll comes without the braided hair, send it back and demand a refund! Madame Alexander says they always sell the doll you see, they never tweak the appearance!

Thank you for all the helpful comments about this doll! Rest assured that there is NOT an issue with counterfeiting with this doll. What happened is that we sometimes use pre-production samples to photograph the dolls, and on the road to production changes may be made. That was the case with this doll. She began with a braided hairstyle and ended with a hairstyle pulled back in three places. We re-shot her but not all retailers have updated the image they are using, and this is what is causing the confusion. We sincerely apologize! I bought this doll for my 7 year old daughter for her birthday. The doll is beautiful. The outfit is exactly as pictured; however, her hair did not come braided (which I really wanted) but it was all pulled back in a cute style. I guess we can always braid her hair like the picture so thats okay. This doll will make a great addition to my daughter's growing Madame Alexander doll collection.

When I ordered t his doll it was supposed to have the braids on the sides of the hair and did not. It was thrown up in 4 pink ribbons that looked terrible. Also her lips were not even all the way colored in. I ordered this doll for my 5 year olds birthday. So furious that I was mislead as to what I was getting. I will never buy from this seller again!

These fairy dolls are cute little additions to the Barbie Charm School movie. The dolls has movable legs and arms but they aren't pivotal so they don't pose. A small plastic holder attaches to the dragon to keep her "riding" it. The doll has purple brushable real hair. The dragon has sparkly skin that my 8 year old really likes. Some of that sparkly stuff does occasionally come off on hands.

The little jewel wings on the dragon can be clipped onto either the fairy or the dragon.

Keep in mind that these are the little fairiy assistants in the movie so they are very small. Less than half the size of a barbie doll.

I bought this for goody bags for my son's B'day. But it's very small in size and children didn't like it much. I am not sure about the durability but looked very nice.

These are cute dolls taller than regular barbie-type dolls, and really good for my pre-schooler. They actually look very much like the characters, complete with dimples, and the outfits are cute. They are a Christmas gift and I know my daughter will love them. Shipped much faster than I expected, too!

My daughter is very happy with this doll. She has two other Groovy Girls that were about $15 more than this doll, so we definitely got a great price. She loves playing with all of her Groovy Girls, and sleeps with them every night.

I was going to purchase this Groovy Girl doll because of the price. The stock photo only shows the top half of the doll. Look up photo of the entire doll before purchasing. She is wearing a polyester bustier looking top, a short tight mini skirt and red high heels. We have several Groovy Girl dolls that are a great alternative to Barbie. This is not the kind of clothing I want my daughter to think is OK for a young girl to wear.
