I purchased this extra mannequin for my granddaughter to add to her original Harumika set. The original set only had a dress form (no limbs or head) and I thought she would enjoy seeing her creations on a full doll model. She and her friends spend many hours creating fashions. They photograph their creations and make catalogs of them.
A very creative toy that uses a youngster's imagination rather than batteries!

Reviews of American Girl Addy Doll, Book & Accessories
My daughters, ages 6 and 9, LOVE this doll. I also really enjoyed the books that came with the doll. The stories are well-written and explain the doll's accessories, as they pertain to that era in our history. my only gripe would be the doll's hair. As an African-American, I don't know anyone with hair that unmanageable and it also shed-A LOT. Other than our troubles with Addy's hair, I would HIGHLY recommend this doll and the books that tell her story.

Discount Dora's Talking House
My daughters love Dora so grandpa bought them this house last Christmas and even without adding furniture until this Christmas it has been a toy they often played with. My biggest complaint is that there is no room for much furniture and when you close up the house there is nowhere to store the furniture. Other than that it has held up well, the door pops off very easily but overall it's held up to my 1yr old climbing all over it and the door pops back on easily, it's more of an annoyance than anything having to find it and put it back on all the time.
The Fisher Price Dora the Explorer Talking Doll House is most notable for its size and the multiple rooms contained within. The best of the rooms is the kitchen because it is here where most of the sounds are created and where most of the fun can be found. The other rooms in the house are basically empty, but the kitchen already has built in appliances and other things. I have found that my girls like the kitchen most of all and they have fun playing with the refrigerator, stove, and other objects. They like activating the sounds and interacting with the included toy figures of Dora and her madre and padre.
Speaking of the sounds, this is one of the main features of the Dora the Explorer Talking Doll House. These sounds are bilingual, but not always entirely so, and they are intended to help children learn Spanish words. When a button is pressed, the refrigerator door is opened, etc., the phrase will be stated in English first. Press it quickly again, and the phrase will be repeated either entirely in Spanish, or with the final word or words in Spanish. All of them feature Dora's voice, so young fans of the show will easily recognize the voice and enjoy the sounds.
This talking doll house has much to offer young fans of the television program, but there are some features/facts about this dollhouse that make it less than perfect. The way the sides fold open, platforms are created that can serve as a floor area while children play. This is nice, but the problem is there is no place to store any added accessories. The dollhouse is constructed in a way that makes it as compact as possible for better storage when folded shut. But this means there is almost no empty space on the interior for storage. And speaking of accessories, there are very few included with this doll house. There are exactly four: Three people figures and one couch. So, if you want more, you have to buy them separately, and this can greatly increase the overall cost of an already expensive toy.

Okay I have NEVER taken the time to write a review, but I really must share. I have two girls, 8 and 5. They have an embarrassing amount of toys that they don't play with or that have lost their luster in a few short weeks. We received the Dora house and some of the furniture 3 years (ish) ago and have bought more furniture since. This is the ONLY staple toy we have ever had. They still play with this for hours every week. Durability is unparalleled. Easy of play, upkeep, and storage, amazing. I have said to my husband no less than 10 times "the Dora House is the best toy we have ever owned". First of all I am taking the time on Christmas day to share my disapointment with this toy. I paid $79.99 for this for my Daughter who is 5 years old, We opened the box on Christmas morning and the only thing this item has inside is the couch, a lamp and a small Dora figure. For $79.99 Stupid me I didn't read and see that the accessories did not come with the house but I personally feel this is a rip off!! it is going to cost me another $100+ easy to furnish this for my Daughter who will probably use this for another year if that! I am so disappointed with this purchase that I have taken the time on Christmas day to share my review. Don't waste your money there are far better houses you can find with more furniture for a little bit more money. The Hannah Montana beach house for one I researched after the fact comes with 80 accessories that are useable for a child and it's $139 at Toys R Us I will remember next year to learn from my experience this year and to READ the labels better on boxes. I just honestly don't feel you get much for your money here they could have at least given you a couple of more pieces of furniture and not made the box so deciveing to make you think except in one area that it comes with 3 pieces. The articles of clothing are cute, but the presentation is less than desirable. This was ordered as a birthday gift. The items come in a Ziplock bag with the makers title on it. I can't imagine a six year old feeling excited when she opens this birthday present to find a Ziplock baggie. There is certainly no "WOW" factor for what appears to be cute clothing. My granddaughter has two well loved historical American Girl dolls, but also wanted to play with them in other ways so I bought her this outfit and another for her birthday. Each piece fits the doll perfectly and really looks cute. It is particularly nice that this set comes with footwear. The outfit is well made and stands up to all the dressing and undressing. I wanted to expand the play opportunities with her AG dolls and this modern outfit fit the bill. This doll is the prettiest of the world statue collection. Her hair is a bit different because it is not curled around her shoulder, it is in two large curls, but the ends are hardened to the back in the normal way. The silk ruffled part of the dress is not connected to the bodice at the very front, so you can poke the tip of your finger into it. The bottom of the dress is longer than the doll so it can be arranged around her, as in the picture. Her purse and crown are tied with clear elastic bands. The torch on her shoulder is not flimsy, it is sewn on tightly. Sh is accompanied with the usual certificate and a stand. Her shoes are blue-green and are high heels with many straps. Her arms are different and unusually shaped. Her nails are painted and her hands do not do the normal separated thumb and pinkie; but only has a separated thumb. Her arms and legs are not bendy(obviously)and her legs are not plastic. Overall, I believe this is a very low price for such a valuable doll and is a definite item for all Barbie collections.
I would recommend this product to any Barbie-loving child :) and would recommend the "vendor" to those interested.

Reviews of Liv Doll Pet Adoption Center
This Liv Doll Pet Adoption Center cannot help but be a huge hit for any child who likes the Liv Dolls and the wonderful extras that can go with them. There is no doll included with this set, but that was not a problem because the girl who received this as a gift already has several dolls.
The set does include a very nice, stable platform table where the cat, dog, bird and hamster can be played with. There is also a snap-together "ring" where the animals can play while awaiting adoption. There are accessories for some of the animals including food and water dishes and even a pretend bag of food. As always with the Liv Doll accessory pieces, some of them are tiny and would definitely constitute a choking hazard for young children if placed in the mouth. We are expecting many hours of fun in finding homes for these cute, adoptable pets.
I have spent the last hour looking at the Liv on line ads. The Pet Adoption Play set clearly shows the image of a Liv doll, and I sure don't see in this particular layout where it says (Liv dolls sold separately) It clearly calls it out on other available items.Then I started looking at the prices of the dolls and to my surprise they had been reduced to appx. 1/3 of the price of play sets and costumes with no doll included. This makes the entire product presentation very confusing to the everyday consumer. Play sets and accessories with no doll, for the first time user, have no play value what-so-ever. It is akin to getting that gift that requires batteries and not having them on Christmas morning. Granted, the pricing for the product is outstanding and the price/value relationship certainly is a bargain for what I hear was or is a very cool and well received product among little girls. I do however, feel the way it is presented on this site, creates confusion,and could certainly use some fine tuning from whoever is responsible for the advertising of this product line.It was very hard for me to write this because the toy business was very good to our family for years. I do however, feel that this situation,certainly was a cause of disappointment for many on Christmas morning

Four days ago my wife called to my attention the fact she had purchased a Liv Pet Adoption Play set for our niece. I replied, "great! computer interactive toys are a fun way to extend play value with the product." She replied," the set does not come with the doll, come look at this ad copy for the play set." Christmas 2010 is right around the corner so the gift hasn't been opened but I was a bit disappointed to get the gift and there was no doll in the toy. For someone who shops online regularly may have known that the doll was not included but for a novice you would assume by the picture and the title "liv doll...." the doll is actually apart of the product. The manufacturer could have said like most "doll not included". Or maybe I should have known something was tricky when it didn't say Live doll "with" pet adoption center. Reviews of Native American Dress. SHOES Included! Fits 18" Dolls like American
It was my mistake, seeing the picture with the doll was my mistake, I thought I was getting the whole thing. After I received the outfit, I then read the whole description. I was finally able to find a doll at a reasonable price. The doll recommended was way too expensive for me. I am a preschool teacher and I actually have never done a Native American theme before so on top of getting a doll I also had to purchase books. Unfortunately, for most preschool programs there is NO MONEY for circle time or activity time. Of course, now I have my collection for next time I do this theme again.

Barbie In A Mermaid Tale Swim 'N Dance Mermaid Barbie Doll Reviews
My 4-year old daughter was so excited when she received this doll for her birthday. After winding it up only two times, the tail fin completely fell apart into a bunch of pieces. Needless to say, I am returning it tomorrow. It is very poorly made and a big disappointment, especially to an excited 4-year-old.
To use the doll, you wind up the tail fin and then let it go. The 'motor' (a rubber band?) turns the fins. The problem is that the elasticity of the drive means that when you let the fin go after winding it, it goes very fast and then stops. I think this would have been much better if the fin always turned at about the same even speed. As it is, you spin the tail forever for about half a second of frantic jerky motion of the fins in the water. Whether standing upright (won't work in a bathrub) or 'swimming' under the water, neither works smoothly or easily. It's just a quick jerk couple of spins and that's it. The motor just spins too fast and the water pressure isn't enough to slow it down.
The doll is quite large and doesn't fit into a bathtub well. I think she is far better suited to a poll where she has room to move around. Even then, she doesn't really 'swim' and my 7 year old quickly lost interest in winding up the tail only to have it spin wildly for half a second and then peter out. The doll just jerked more than swam.
The tail fins are made of thin vinyl type of material and if left into a bent position too long, keeps that position permanently. Then she no longer swims at all.
In all, we've already lost the two flower pieces, the tails are all bent from bathtub play, and my 7 year old long ago stopped trying to wind her up. Which makes a big waste of money in having that motor in thre in the first place. She definitely does not live up to the hype of the commercial.
12/16/2010 Update: My daughter used in the bathtub a couple of times and here are my comments:
*The doll doesn't really do much other than spinning horizontally in one place, there is no forward movement.
*The commercial shows the doll spinning vertically doesn't work. Even if it did, you'd have to use it in the pool to see it. The doll is so huge that you'd have to fill the tub almost all the way just to cover the width of the tail fin. Standing up, the doll would be sticking about water.
End conclusion: huge waste of money.

On the Christmas list the doll went, and when I received the doll in the mail, I was very disappointed over the huge price markup for an otherwise unremarkable toy. The price should have been half of what Mattel and Amazon charge. Basically, it's a typical Barbie with a somewhat moveable tail. Forget about the "Dance" part this doll will only swim after the tail is manually wound up. The doll is somewhat long, so I imagine, you'd need something larger than a bathtub to really enjoy it. I don't know why it's called "swim 'n dance". My daughter received this toy today at a brunch with Santa and although she was glad to get something from her list, I could tell she was disappointed because she expected something much more fun and interactive. As a parent, I am doubly disappointed because of her and the money I "threw away" when I bought this toy. Cheap CALI GIRL BARBIE HORSE AND STABLE BAJA WITH BEADS
This horse is the best toy horse I have seen to date. It is fully articulated, with joints at the base of the neck, the head, knees and hocks, and at the top of each leg. The overall shape of this horse is really nice, and the colour is also very pretty. It looks better in real life than it does in a box or in a photo.
One of the best features about this toy horse is the mane and tail. Both are crimped and sunstreaked with copper, and the texture is unlike any Barbie hair I have felt before. The hair is fine and silky. The mane is also very long. The beads are as shown in the second Amazon photo of this horse, and they slide nicely onto the mane and tail with the simple-to-use 'beading wand' included, although it can be a bit tricky sometimes with a thick piece of mane or tail. It also comes with 10 small rubber stoppers to place underneath a bead to prevent it from sliding off.
The tack which comes with this horse is also the best I have seen in Barbie toy horses. The bridle is plastic and fairly ordinary, but the reins are actual fabricfaux leatherwhich is a nice touch. The reins come tightly curled in a coil and tend to want to curl up but it is easy to fix thisjust place them straightened underneath a heavy book for at least one day and they are fine. The saddle I love. It is a western saddle, ornately decorated and with great attention to detail. The saddle pad is a simple blue fabric square. The saddle bags are also nice. The pockets really open and have velcro to securely close them, and you can store the beads in them. They are also decorated with decorative stitching, again showing attention to detail. The blue blanket shown rolled up on the saddle bags is secured there by two pieces of elastic, and can be taken out and unrolled. It unrolls to be around the size of the saddle pad.
All in all, this is a great toy. I would highly recommend it for any horse enthusiast who also likes Barbies and toy horses. The horse is a good size for Barbie dolls to ride it, as long as they have flexible hip joints and preferably jointed knees as well, as the California Girl horse-riding dolls Summer, Barbie and Lea do.
One more thingthe box this horse comes in is not shown in any of the Amazon pictures, but should be, as the inside part (the part which slides out) is made out of sturdy cardboard and is made to look like a stable. It has slatted gates for stable doors which swing open and closed, and the inside is designed to look like a stable, from the 'hay' on the floor to the photos 'stuck' to the walls. It also has a huge window thing at the back of the stable which is covered with a piece of translucent plastic, which shows a scene of the beach. It looks as if you are looking out of the stable onto a beach. It is really nice. It is not very deep, probably about 20 or so centimetres (8 inches), but has generous height and width.
This is a really cool toy and I really enjoy having it. Recommended!

I am SO TIRED of seeing pretty horses with long flaxen hair and barbie doll type heads with baby pink saddles! AHHH! I still have my Dallas horse from when I was a toddler and this horse is FANTASTIC! First of all, she is a huge horse, very suited to Barbie. Barbie has long legs and when she is taller than the horse well . . . But, this horse can really hold her well. The saddle is gorgeous, very realistic and the bridle is easy to put on. The horse can make realistic motions and the saddle bags can hold anything from extra beads to a water bottle. We have 1983 Horse Lovin' Barbie and Cali Girl Barbie horseback. The horse's hair is sunset auburn with beautiful sienna highlights and the mane and tail are very soft. The beading wand is really easy to use and makes her look very seaside and fresh. Buy Butterfly Doll Pajamas for 18 Inch Dolls Including the American
They were well made and affordable too! My daughter was not sure whether or not they would fit her American Girl doll, but I convinced her to give the outfit a try and boy is she pleased!
