My daughters, ages 6 and 9, LOVE this doll. I also really enjoyed the books that came with the doll. The stories are well-written and explain the doll's accessories, as they pertain to that era in our history. my only gripe would be the doll's hair. As an African-American, I don't know anyone with hair that unmanageable and it also shed-A LOT. Other than our troubles with Addy's hair, I would HIGHLY recommend this doll and the books that tell her story.

GREAT THING ABOUT AMERICAN DOLL IS IT REALLY SHOW AMERICAN DIVERSITY OF ETHICAL RACE, VERY GOOD EDUCATION ABOUT AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE, THE DOLL IS WELL MADE AND HIGH END MATERIAL, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DOLL, IT SHOWS SOMETHING VERY SOPHISTICATED.
