I have one of those kids who seems to destroy everything. She lives life to its fullest. Yet, she's had her "bella ballerina" for 2 months and it's still in great shape! She dances with her, plays with her, and sleeps with her. But she doesn't ever do anything that would hurt her because it's a cherished toy. I love to see that!

It's a simple rag doll in construction. The size is good for my 4 yr old to dance with. The elastic bands on the doll's feet fit easily but snugly on my daughters feet. Lots of fun times for her!

She loved it so much we had to get one for her cousin for her birthday.

When I ordered this doll for my grandaughter I expected the blond doll pictured but I received a brunette. I will keep it but it is not what I expected. Just a heads-up to other shoppers.

I ordered the La Belle Ballerina doll for my 2 year old granddaughter because she loves to dress up in her tutu. Sure enough she is in love with this doll. Kate dresses in her tutu at least once if not twice a day and dances with her new dancing partner. When she gets through, she sits the doll on the sofa. Her mother says every time she passes the sofa, she thinks it's one of the kids sitting there. Great fun and perfect gift.

My daughters, ages 6 and 9, LOVE this doll. I also really enjoyed the books that came with the doll. The stories are well-written and explain the doll's accessories, as they pertain to that era in our history. my only gripe would be the doll's hair. As an African-American, I don't know anyone with hair that unmanageable and it also shed-A LOT. Other than our troubles with Addy's hair, I would HIGHLY recommend this doll and the books that tell her story.

My 4 year old daughter loves it but I think it is a little flimsy. Not to mention all the little pieces DO NOT SIT where they are supposed to due to the product shelves not being leveled. Other than these two things, it provides about 45 minutes to an hour of peace for MOMMY!!!!

Barbie will look just fine sitting in the driver's seat, and is more fitting for a lady driver, than the regular driver figures available and used on most model boats.

I bought this Barbie for my granddaughter (age 10) for Christmas. She was excited to go online and play the games. The site will not accept the code included with the doll. There is no way to contact Mattel about the problem accept to call their customer service line, which is closed today, and I am guessing when I call tomorrow I will have a very long hold time.

My daughter (who was 3 at the time I bought this for her) is not usually particularly rough on her dolls. I think she was trying to take the shoes off of this Barbie, which you cannot do. The shoes light up, and when she pulled too hard on them, they came loose, leaving electrical wires coming out of her feet exposed. So this Barbie had to be thrown in the trash very shortly after I purchased her. I think that if a 3 year old can pull the shoes and wires loose, it is not constructed very well. That seems quite dangerous to me.

This is a beautiful baby doll. Her features, expression, eyes and hair are very lifelike. My granddaughter was so excited when she unwrapped her this Christmas. I was disappointed that we could not get the doll's thumb to fit in her mouth, nor any size pacifier, though it is advertised to take both. Also, fabric comes down to the calves and lower arms then change to vinyl. It would have been nicer for the vinyl to go above knees and elbows to make the doll more lifelike with dresses or short sleeves. All in all, this is a wonderful baby. I included with the doll a gown set with blanket that belonged to my granddaughter when she was an infant. So nice for the doll to be able to wear newborn size clothes!

I purchased this doll for my granddaughter after hours of researching quality baby dolls. There just doesn't seem to be any manufacturers of fine dolls anymore. There were several things that are very disappointing regarding this doll. First, the doll has a strong chemical odor that is very unpleasant, just as another review stated. I applied a strongly scented lotion to the doll numerous times which seemed to help. Secondly, the doll has a slightly green tint to the skin giving the appearance of being ill. Thirdly, I agree with another review that stated the arms and legs have too much fabric in proportion to the vinyl arms and legs which are very short. The legs should extend with vinyl to above the knee and above the elbow for the arm. The facial features are beautiful and the detail to hands and feet are very realistic just like a baby's skin. I do not recommend this doll for purchase as I feel it falls too short in quality. I did not return the doll because I did not have time to purchase another one. I don't feel the doll is worth the price.

My 5 year old daughter just received this doll for Christmas and completely fell in love with it. It's bigger and a little heavier than normal baby dolls which makes it perfect for the older little girls. Very well made and an absolutely beautiful doll.

I purchased this item for my niece's communion because she has an American girl doll and thought it was a cute idea. When I received it, the dress had a pink ribbon on it instead if white and the shoes were pink instead of white. Also there was no bible or necklace when it said it was included. I was very disappointed!

I bought this set for my 2.5 year old and she loved it...mostly because of the barbie babies. One of the babies has "chicken pox" that show up when you get her face wet. The little medicine bottle has a small sponge on it that you are suppose to use to make the chikenpox appear. I like this set because Barbie is wearing a decent outfit for once and doesn't look like a streetwalker. I do need to warn abou the "accesories". Most of them are just cardboard peices that are taped onto the box that you have to remove to use them. I almost threw them away not realizing that they are suppose to be saved. The fabric (actually some kind of nylon) on the doctor table is very well secured and there is a knob that you turn to "change" the paper on the table. Overall, very cute and I reccomend it!

My granddaughter's aunt is a pediatrician, so this Barbie was a great gift. It actually looks like my niece! It comes with Barbie wearing pants and with lots of extras that my granddaughter loved to play with. I thought the price was quite a bargain for the educational value and the accessories included with the doll.

What I liked about this was the non-fashion emphasis. Realistic and acutally encouraging to a youngster who might get the idea she can be a (gasp!) DOCTOR some day instead of a fashion model/sex symbol. Only drawback, as with any other many-part toy, is losing the bitty pieces. But this definitely went over big with my granddaughter.

I was surprised by the poor review above--til I realized it was a young person looking at the dolls on line and not liking how plain they are. My friend has the Ryan's room dolls and we both like the simplicity--they are well made and sort of featureless--but that is good for freeplay--they are not supposed to look like anyone in particular. Our daughters are 3 and 4. THey are sturdy and simple, not fancy, and might take a little getting used to if kids are used to Barbie and Bratz, but these are really preferable.

The dolls are pose-able and cute. My mistake was in ordering one family of each ethnicity thinking they would be a good teaching aid for studying diversity. There is nothing to distinguish them as Hispanic-American. I suppose this is a good thing in that I wouldn't expect a Hispanic American to wear some kind of mariachi outfit. The skin tone of the dolls is no different than the African American family. It makes no difference to the three year olds. Which is the point. They are happy to have mommies and daddies, grandmas and grandpas and a bunch of kids to play with.

I bought these as a gift for a niece who received a Pottery Barn dollhouse for Christmas. Am told she likes them. I like that this isn't a typical nuclear family, especially since her parents are divorced. Honestly I was a bit disappointed when I looked at them, the clothes are so cheap and aren't removable, there is some glue visible in places, etc. I wouldn't buy them again but they did the trick!

My 5 year old received this doll as a gift. She plays with her for hours. The doll appears well made, does not have an odor or flaws that I could see. The plastic saddle part is great, but the straps are terribly flimsy. The "leather" straps broke almost immediately, the saddle doesn't fit the horse very well, as tightening it is almost impossible, and it never looks just right on the horse. Also, the circle flaps roll up and won't lay flat. We didn't receive the pillow either.

The Snuggy Baby Child's Doll Sling Baby Doll Carrier -Happy Hills was purchased for a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. It is made well but I'm not sure of the fit as of yet.
