La Dee Da dolls were not immediately available in my area until several months after their initial release. If I'd known how cute they'd be I might've ordered a few in advance! These dolls are well-made, unlike Mattel's Monster High line. I've had Cyanne as Peppermint Pose for over six months and she remains in perfect condition (although she largely remains on a shelf, only taken about for photos and clothing switches). Whenever I'm at stores that stock this line I check to see if they've begun developing problems largely apparent in other lines like Monster High, Bratz, Barbies, and Novi Stars such as messy face paint, badly sewn outfits, oddly gelled-down hair but so far they've remained free of such cheap defects! I'd highly recommend this line to collectors and kids alike. :) The fashion packs are cute too, though not at the prices alternate Amazon sellers want to charge! Best to check a local Target or Wal*Mart for those; they're usually under $10 on the shelf.

La Dee Da Sweet Party, Cyanne as Peppermint Pose Reviews
This doll is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! (I know, just my opinion.) My 4 year old pointed her out in the store, so she is getting her for Christmas. She seems to be quite flexible and like she won't break easily, but with this type of doll there is always room for breakage (I find especially at the neck joint). I know some people will say she is too skinny, but then her head is way too big, too. I don't really think that kind of think affects children the way "they" say it can. I grew up with Barbies and never aspired to be the shape of one nor did I have a bad body image because of it... they are just TOYS. Leave the bad image up to the folks who airbrush the already thin models in magazines and give a toally false impression of what people should/can look like, etc). Educational well, not on her own, but we use dolls to do roll playing on educational and social issues including teasing, bullying, etc. So, we use them in educational ways. Regardless, she is so cute how could a little girl who likes dolls not like her? ;D

Buy Liv It?s My Nature Maple Lodge Playset
My daughter, eleven years old, really enjoys the lodge playset. The set offers a variety of camping supplies including sticks to roast marshmallows and the marshmallows. A camp fire is included. The lodge is easy to set-up and close down to port. It comes with dishes, utensils, and some outdoor furnishings. It positively supports girls being active in the outdoors. My daughter can use her imagination to create camping and nature adventures with her Liv doll and her Barbies. I highly recommend the Liv It's My Nature Maple Lodge Playset!
Rainbows:
-Stays firmly latched.
-Has lots of extras, unlike Barbie's sets.
-Sturdy design and pieces.
-Easy directions.
-Stickers are easy to apply.
-Sleeping bag/futon is beautiful with a vintage, earthy bird print. Has some Velcro to convert it to a futon. Sorta works.
-Cabinets and oven open and close wonderfully.
-Small accessories can fit in the above. Good storage. Even has a pot rack.
-Kids do not even notice that there is no bathroom.
-Sweet, cabinish graphics.
-Campfire glows well.
Mosquitoes:
-Some stickers pop up a bit and will have to be glued eventually.
-The eggs and milk accessories are connected together. A little weird.
-Wish campfire stayed on longer. It turns off automatically after about two minutes.
-Roof does not stay on all the time. Hard to get it to snap in. I had an easy time of putting it in place while sitting at my kitchen table, but has fallen off since. The peak goes to the left.
-Hammock deal does not work. Dolls cannnot even be supported by hammock. We just lay it out like a second sleeping bag.
-Back kitchen wall is cardboard, not plastic. Ours is now bulging a bit because I stuffed all the bigger accessories in the lodge while it was closed. That is how I figured out that the wall was not plastic.
-Box claims everything can be stored within the closed lodge; see above bulging problem. Plus, the hammock stand will not fit in the lodge for storage purposes. There is a gap with the roof on, but those pieces within should be snug as long as the roof is in place and smaller pieces are stuffed within the closed cabinets.
Included Pieces:
-Electronic campfire (need 2 AA batteries, and Phillips head screwdriver).
-1 sleeping bag.
-1 hammock with stand.
-2 skewers (hotdogs and marshmallows).
-2 pots with hooks.

I was surprised to see that she wanted dolls and houses for Christmas. It appears that she enjoys them more now than when she was 8 and 9. She was able to put all the stickers on and set it up herself. Great toy overall!!!! Guess that no matter how old you are there is no limit to your imagination!!!!!!
With all of the high tech gadgets out there you still can't beat the classics. Heck, it saved me a fortune this year!!!!!
Cons: The seller left the price tag they purchased it for($7.00)on the box. Nice to know I paid $22.00 for something they paid 3X less for. To their defense everyone else and every place else was selling it for the same amount or more so I would have paid the same price no matter what. Guess I need to start scouring stores for cheap deals!!!!

My five-year-old was tired of getting yelled at by her older sister for squatting at Barbie's vacation house, so I decided to get her her own hangout. This set was reasonably priced at Toys R Us for $20.00. Doll not included. 10" high, 11" wide. See below for the dirt on this hut.Rainbows:

The roof doesn't want to stay on, but the rest of the product is great. My child plays with it all the time. Not all of the small pieces will stay inside the toy for storage, so we had to get a zip lock bag to contain the parts in order to keep them from all getting separated. Great concept. Barbie Bride Barbie Doll - New 2012 Version Reviews
My 5 year old got it for her birthday and she loves it. Loves the ring, she always dresses like a 'princess' and when she doesn't wear her ring she diplays it in an open box so everyone can see it. Recommend to any little girl.

Barbie In A Mermaid Tale Swim 'N Dance Mermaid Barbie Doll Reviews
My 4-year old daughter was so excited when she received this doll for her birthday. After winding it up only two times, the tail fin completely fell apart into a bunch of pieces. Needless to say, I am returning it tomorrow. It is very poorly made and a big disappointment, especially to an excited 4-year-old.
To use the doll, you wind up the tail fin and then let it go. The 'motor' (a rubber band?) turns the fins. The problem is that the elasticity of the drive means that when you let the fin go after winding it, it goes very fast and then stops. I think this would have been much better if the fin always turned at about the same even speed. As it is, you spin the tail forever for about half a second of frantic jerky motion of the fins in the water. Whether standing upright (won't work in a bathrub) or 'swimming' under the water, neither works smoothly or easily. It's just a quick jerk couple of spins and that's it. The motor just spins too fast and the water pressure isn't enough to slow it down.
The doll is quite large and doesn't fit into a bathtub well. I think she is far better suited to a poll where she has room to move around. Even then, she doesn't really 'swim' and my 7 year old quickly lost interest in winding up the tail only to have it spin wildly for half a second and then peter out. The doll just jerked more than swam.
The tail fins are made of thin vinyl type of material and if left into a bent position too long, keeps that position permanently. Then she no longer swims at all.
In all, we've already lost the two flower pieces, the tails are all bent from bathtub play, and my 7 year old long ago stopped trying to wind her up. Which makes a big waste of money in having that motor in thre in the first place. She definitely does not live up to the hype of the commercial.
12/16/2010 Update: My daughter used in the bathtub a couple of times and here are my comments:
*The doll doesn't really do much other than spinning horizontally in one place, there is no forward movement.
*The commercial shows the doll spinning vertically doesn't work. Even if it did, you'd have to use it in the pool to see it. The doll is so huge that you'd have to fill the tub almost all the way just to cover the width of the tail fin. Standing up, the doll would be sticking about water.
End conclusion: huge waste of money.

On the Christmas list the doll went, and when I received the doll in the mail, I was very disappointed over the huge price markup for an otherwise unremarkable toy. The price should have been half of what Mattel and Amazon charge. Basically, it's a typical Barbie with a somewhat moveable tail. Forget about the "Dance" part this doll will only swim after the tail is manually wound up. The doll is somewhat long, so I imagine, you'd need something larger than a bathtub to really enjoy it. I don't know why it's called "swim 'n dance". My daughter received this toy today at a brunch with Santa and although she was glad to get something from her list, I could tell she was disappointed because she expected something much more fun and interactive. As a parent, I am doubly disappointed because of her and the money I "threw away" when I bought this toy. Review of Barbie Girls 1GB MP3 Player - Green - Store 240 Songs!
Let me start off by saying that I cannot review the online aspects of this toy. I was looking for an mp3 player for my daughters (5 and 7 yso). And the only thing that we have used it for is as an mp3 player. At $30, it was only $5 more than the cheap ones that I was going to buy. They looked cute and so I took a chance and ordered two for Christmas.
Being the novelty that it is, I really didn't expect anything spectacular. I opened the package and started reading instructions. It comes with a rechargeable battery, which recharges hooked up to the usb port on the computer. So no buying a ton of batteries (Maybe that is a standard on mp3 players, but as I have had no experience with any mp3 player, it was a nice surprise for me). I am not very computer literate (I can type and I can shop), but the instructions made it very easy. After it had charged, in a couple of minutes, I was loading their music on it. I loaded 11 full albums on one of them and it is about 1/3 of the way full. I couldn't believe how many songs you can load on this. They have not put it down since. They had a friend stay over last night, and now she wants one!
It came with a clip, so they are not constantly dropping it, and the earphones. It has all of the clothes, shoes, and hair that you can clip on and off. Plus, when I bought these, it came with an extra set of fashions. So they have a lot of combinations they can make.
After they went to bed last night, I picked one up and started listening. As I said before, I have never listened to another mp3 player, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I thought that the sound was fantastic. Next year, I may have to ask Santa for a Barbie Girl!
As a cute little mp3 player, it definitely earns 5 stars from this family!

However, I am only giving this product 3 stars because of the ENORMOUS price change since I purchased it last year. Last Christmas I bought this exact item for less than $10. Now it costs over $40. Why the change? Heck if I know.

We bought this for our almost 4 yr old. She loves it. It holds enough songs so she is never bored and listening to the same thing over and over. She likes to change the little outfits and faces. Just keep track of them or they are lost! :o) But she walks around the house and sings as loud as she can. Reviews of Karito Kids Zoe From USA
My Zoe is WCII. Sge has long lovely locks of ultra-light blond spiraled into ringlets and an ornate crown of twisted hair pulled back. There's still enough to make pigtails or a ponytail. Her eyes are a lovely and lively shade of blue with about three layers of color for depth and clarity. I own 5 American Girl dolls and Zoe makes them look a bit "dolly" Zoe has a look all her own. Very, very realistic. Her eyes are afixed with applied eyelashes. American Girl shirts, glasses, and skirts fit her best, jeans and pants look like capris the tall red patent boots help. I buy AG clothing for her. She is long and lean. The breast plate is the ultimate and her neck is poseable for a realistic expression. Her limbs are long, lean, and graceful and the book is fun for young children. Her meet outfit is a bit confusing a bright red bolero sweater that stained her arm (used mild soap and water, but part of the stain remains), a tight and trendy pink shirt with a peace sign in the form of a free-form heart, short denim shorts, peachy stirrup leggings, flashy and shiny candy apple red boots that velcro no pulling of laces. We added AG undies and eyeglasses. Her bangs are nie and feathery. She is definately on par with American Girl, if not a bit better because her construction is so interesting. The gaming site is easy to use and I donated a lot to health and food. Buy her before she's changed or retired.

My daughter loves this doll. We have been looking for 1.5 years for a doll. We wanted a doll like this made in the USA and we never found it. My niece has a American doll which is made in China, not made very well, and overpriced. Which my sister even states is true. This doll is made in China so only 4 stars. I went on the website and emailed them to ask where it was made and they NEVER emailed me back with the information. However, it is very well made and will not fall apart. Plus, my daughter went on the website and reviewed who and how to help others. She is eight years old and she wants to help others and that is the only reason we did get the doll. Cheap LOVEE PATTI DOLL AND HER TALKING FARM PALS
I don't know why manufacturers shoot themselves in the foot. How did this doll win "the best toy of 2009" award? Do these people have real live kids? (eye roll). The doll itself is just fine. Nice silky hair, cute face, soft and cuddly. But why even bother with the farm animals if you're not going to let them speak in their own "animal language"? Instead of doing "mew", "eeeee" and "quack quack" they let Patti yack and yack something incomprehensible and inaudible. I think they say things like "I'm a donkey, I eat hay and sleep in the stable" or something like that. Who would know (or care)? This doll is missing it's main market segment (babies) who only care about short animal sounds not elaborate blabbing...The speech is garbled anyhow and difficult to hear and understand even with fresh batteries. The dolls head is attached with a plastic ring, the blue dots that show you where to press to make the animals "talk" are just stickers that my 1 year old peeled right away and tried to eat and of course the doll is made in China like anything else in the toy world these days...Sigh...I might be a tough critic, but really, it's disappointing when a doll is so close to something really great and they fail to execute all the way. By the way mine has red checkered shirt and red ribbons, in case that makes a difference. Check the discount store that ends with double XX and starts with initials of Thomas Jefferson and you'll find it for real cheap.
