For one thing, now that Jackie's rapidly becoming a teen, the adolescent doll body more closely resembles her NOW than THEN. Once removed from the packaging ( and the totally inauthentic "fur"-trimmed cape ), her hair falls naturally, framing a face that suddenly resembles Jackie's. The dress, though a style similar to those favored by the petite songstress, is TOO SHORT for comparison with what she actually wears in concert. The black plastic stand microphone is simply too ridiculous to even bother unpacking, looking as it does like something from fifty years ago and nothing like today's!
Once freed from the confines of her prison/box, another feature is able to be activated. In the box, the dolls are set on "Disp(lay)" mode to conserve battery power; flipping a switch on their backs to "ON" doubles or triples the length of the musical "clip" embedded in a microchip within them. It still only plays a brief stanza, but at least is better than in-the-box!

My little sister's birthday is coming up. She absolutely loves Jackie Evancho! I purchased this gift, which was delivered today and when I opened the box it was shipped in, I was under the impression that she sang most of the song, not just the little clip of, "When You Wish Upon a Star" so I was a little unsatisfied. It's a collector's edition item, hence the price, but wished it sang more than just that little clip. I know she'll love it, regardless, but wished it did sing most of the song and not just that one little part.
