This is a beautiful doll!!! My daughter loves the american girl dolls and I was told this was an alternative.I liked the fact that the dolls each represent a christian trait.

The differance in this line of dolls and the american girl dolls are that the eyes do not open and close. Also she doesn't have a soft body she is completely vinyl. We love the eyes!! What we didn't like about the doll is that it doesn't sit as well as the american girl dolls. It does sit but not as easily. If we didn't have the american girl doll to compare it to we wouldn't have even noticed.

Being that this line of dolls has been discontinued finding the original clothing line for her has been difficult. The dress that she comes with is absolutely adorable and very well made. She comes with her own little doll size bible. She doesn't not come with a book like the american girl dolls. You need to purchase them seperately..

I think all the Life of Faith dolls are lovely, but Kathleen is my favorite. The pictures rarely do her justice. She looks almost real and her face is all her own. I think all the American dolls have the same faces. Just colors and hair styles change. I think many of the LOF dolls have the same features, too. Kathleen is completely original. The clothes are hard to find now, but there are some from the line available on ebay and American Girl dolls clothes do fit, albeit a bit large.

I received this carriage/stroller in 1 day, Wednesday Dec.22 after ordering it on Tuesday morning Dec 21. Now that's what I call Great Customer Service.Thank you Amazon.com and Toys4Us. And I only requested standard shipping.I didn't really need it by Christmas but am grateful to have received it early.

This carriage was very easy to assemble and it looks like a miniature version of a real baby carriage. The fabric is very durable, and the carriage is very easy to maneuver especially with the 2 front swivel wheels which was a bonus as I didn't know it had swivel wheels since there is no mention in the discription.The wheels are also a treaded rubber and should do well both indoors and out. There is only 1 negative to point out: It is a bit difficult to change from the carriage to the stroller.They are 2 separate units. A parent/adult would have to do this for a 2-5 yr old as the joint that the unit slips into is very tight. However it does make it very sturdy. On the positive side, The red color is very pretty, the body is sturdy and seems very durable. The stroller unit is also very cute with a hood and can be seated facing forward or toward the rear. I bought this for our 2 1/2 yr old granddaughter and I think she will love it. I would definitely recommend this for little girls with no age limit as the bar to push the carriage can be adjusted as the child grows. I am 5'3" and can push this very comfortably at it's full height. It's a great doll carriage.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas last year. She absolutely loved this, until it broke less than a year later. Take a look at the second picture...the bar that the front wheels are attached to is only sodered to the main frame (the black piece provides no structural integrity and is only there to cover up the sodering), there are no screws holding the two pieces together. Eventually the two pieces of metal will break at the seam, causing the front two wheels to detach from the main frame, rendering the stroller completely unusable. I called the company and they were completely unapologetic, said their warranty is only good for 30 days, and refused to do anything about the problem. I did suggest that this stroller not be sold anymore as this is bound to happen again to someone else, but the person I spoke to seemed to not even acknowledge my request. So disappointing...

I spent some time searching for the "right" doll stroller for my 2 year old. This one seemed to have the most features and fit our needs the best. When it arrived (3 days after order!) it exceeded any expectations. Assembly took 10 minutes with the assistance of a very curious 2 year old, instructions not helpful and basic, but it was very common sense. Bassinet comes off and my child uses it as a crib for baby. The other seat can recline in couple of positions. Both bassinet and stroller seat can be installed either facing the little mommy or the world. The front wheels swivel and thats a big plus, unlike many other models and it makes this stroller easy to operate. The handle is amazing and I can operate the stroller with ease at the highest point of adjustment (i am 5.5) so hopefully plenty of years to use. Finally, it looks so realistic, and reminds my child of her uppa baby stroller. Of course its not perfect, but I am very impressed for the price. My child still needs supervision because she is under advised age and could tip it or drag it poorly. Overall I am very happy with this product.

Had this put together (easy!) within 30 minutes of receiving it. So far it's a HUGE hit with the "little mommy"! The handle adjusts to heights for every child from age one through ten or more. The hood/canopy stays open when the stroller seat is completely upright, but if you lay the seat back at all, the hood falls back and won't stay open. There's no way to get around that, unfortunately. Frustrating for the child. On the upside, the carriage/pram/bassinet attachment (what a super bonus!) has a great hood that stays up and in place. Love the oversize wheels on this carriage-stroller, the nice construction, and that it looks just like the new-model real strollers....no matter which attachment you're using with the wheel base. We've strolled around the mall with it once already and got a LOT of comments about how adorable it is and how real it looks. Almost everyone wanted to know where we purchased it, so stock up amazon.com! Our little girl is thrilled that the storage basket on the bottom is roomy and sturdy enough to hold the small and medium-sized bags we accumulate while shopping together -and, suddenly, shopping is fun for her!!! She has all her doll's needs in the little diaper bag that came with the stroller, and proudly drapes it over her shoulder or the stroller handle. The larger back wheels and swivel front wheels make this doll stroller super easy to roll and maneuver. Overall, this is probably one of the best doll strollers for the money on the market right now (it's two-in-one because it can be a stroller OR a pram). And I researched a ton of them before buying this one. Love it!

Cool idea for a doll line, they are vampires by night, human by day; fits in nicely withe Monster High family of dolls. The premise is the head mold has 2 faces. If you're old enough you'll remember a baby doll that had 3 faces, awake, sleepy and sad I think. This doll has only 2. You face whichever head you want showing in front. She comes with 2 wigs, a purple and blonde. You could probably buy ball jointed wigs for her. The only trick is it needs to be wider in the back to cover that second face and you don't want it to show the double ears on the head.. She is a tiny bit taller than a Monster High doll, her head is bigger. No jointed wrists, her arms go up and sown like a tin soldier and they are on the bendy side. No jointed knees either and just like the arms her legs move like a tin soldier. She sits well even without bendable knees I find the human face more appealing. The vampire face is just a little more harsh looking. And I don't mind vampire dolls, it's just after looking at the illustrations on the box, I think she could be a little prettier. She comes with 2 outfits, to change into. Ahhh, they are ok. not the greatest quality , but ok. for someone young who would be playing with them. I would like to see a more top of line outfit because I display them. Monster High is one up on clothing quality, they should take a look. So really not a bunch of issues, she's just manufactured differently, which is o.k. I like all types of dolls and this one hasn't fallen apart yet.

OK... I bought the Hispanic Baby of this exact same Lots to Cuddle Doll last year and I saw this Asian Version of it. I thought it's a cute idea to buy another doll of a different nationality. So I bought this Asia Baby from the JC Toys website.

Basically it's the same baby doll with the same size, same vinyl & outfit (I got a peach outfit as JC toys website let me pick) etc. BUT JC toys did make some changes this year. I guess these might be good changes for the kids or their parents so I'd like to write a review to tell you the difference.

OK the Hispanic Lots to Cuddle Baby Doll I have weighs about 2.5 lbs or so. While this NEW baby looks the same, it only weighs about 1.5 lbs! The reason is that the Hispanic baby I have has a weighed bottom but this one doesn't have that! For me, I do prefer the weighed bottom since it can sit better. But that 1 lb might be too heavy for a kid?! Well I guess it'd depend on how old the kid is :)

The second difference is the "baby smell". The Hispanic doll I have has a kind of lavender smell to it, while it was quite strong in the beginning (I'm sure many who bought any JC toys play dolls know what I meant), it actually went away after a while. After almost a year, I can only smell it when I sniff very closely-the smell became very subtle. BUT if you hate this smell or you're allergic to the smell, it's good news for you!!! The new Asian Baby Doll I got does NOT have any smell AT ALL!!! I think JC toys must have received so many complaints about this smell they finally decided not to add any to their dolls :)

So If you prefer a lighter doll and a doll w/o any smell, you can give this one a try! For me, I don't really care about the smell that much cuz it goes away after some time anyways. But I do like a weighed bottom for a doll better! So yeah... that's why it's 4 stars.

Apart from the above, basically it's the same baby doll. And I do also hope that they can use some better fabric for the clothing :)

First of all, you really can dress this baby in newborn clothes. Right now it's dressed in one of my favorite outfits my daughter used to wear when she was brand new... she was 8 pounds 2 ounces at birth. This was important to me, because I really wanted to encourage my (now 2 year old) daughter to learn how to use snaps and buttons and things while getting dressed. That, and I have a ton of newborn clothes still in storage, so why not use them? I have to mention that onesies or sleeveless outfits will not look good though, seeing as the "skin" of the baby doll only reaches about two inches from the end of each extremity. The rest of the body, underneath the clothes, is a white cotton material. This is great for cuddling, and for realistic playtime movements, but not so great for summer clothes.

As for what my daughter thinks of her new baby... suffice to say she's obsessed with it. We've only had it for about a day, so of course she's fascinated by her new toy, but I can definitely see this as being a lasting favorite. She loves putting baby socks on it, singing to it, feeding it, and giving it kisses. We purchased another baby doll at the same time the African American 11" doll by the same brand and she DEFINITELY prefers the 20" one. It is not very heavy, so she has no trouble toting it around, but it is still VERY large! It's hilarious to watch, because she actually looks like she's carrying a real newborn.

One reviewer mentioned the doll didn't look anything like the picture... this is not the case for us. Our doll is completely identical to the one pictured, as far as I can tell. The quality of its features are VERY realistic, though something about the expression struck me as a little off at first. I chalk this up to not actually owning such a realistic looking doll previously. In the picture you can't see what's under the hat... the baby is not bald, it has light brown hair that is of the same material as its "skin". It does not have eyebrows, just little ridges, but this is common in baby dolls and not surprising. I also really like the material used for its skin... I can not STAND cheap, hard plastic dolls! While the vinyl (?) is not particularly soft, it does give some when you squeeze on it. Not cheap feeling at all! As for odors... it doesn't have one. If you sniff up close, you can smell the vinyl, but there is nothing obvious or chemically about it at all. Yay!

The clothing it came with is fair, but not really my style. I'd much rather dress it in our old newborn clothes. My daughter hates the hat, and prefers her baby without it.

When all is said and done... we love this baby, and I think it is a VERY good value. I am seriously considering buying one or two more, though at thirty bucks a pop that adds up fast. But honestly, I think it is a very good price for a realistic looking baby doll of this size, and I will definitely be recommending it to fellow moms.

My daughter got this doll when she was a year old. It was perfect for her because the clothes and accessories don't come off, so they don't get lost. The clothes can't be removed, the pacifier "clip" is sewn into the baby, and the headband is attached and doesn't come off. I loved that my girl couldn't lose everything that makes this doll so cute and fun. Now that she is three, I sometimes wish we could change her clothes, but we just put baby doll clothes on top of this outfit and that works fine. She has been a very durable doll and very easy to take care of. I recommend this doll for any little toddler! (In fact, I think she's much more durable that the AG Bitty Baby, whose head and limbs can sometimes pop off yikes! And this doll is so much more affordable to start with!)

The only two problems I had with this item is that (1) the clear doors inside the case are not on full hinges and easily pop out therefore did not last through the first weekend my toddler had this before being lost altogether and (2) the battery compartment for the music that is supposed to play when the case is opened never fit properly; therefore the music has never played and attempt to fix the problem has resulted in the compartment not staying closed at all, so the entire box has been on a shelf until it can get fixed pretty much ruining the point of it being a jewelry case for her dress up time. I'm going to chalk it up to bad luck on my part, as it is otherwise a sturdy and well-made toy and when it is fixed, she will get a lot of use out of it for a long time.

This is cute, it is all plastic, you can't load it up with too much jewelry or the doors will not stay closed. Also, there is a catch to keeping the doors closed, you have to hit from the bottom jewel, not the top, it will stay closed if your toddler wants to carry it around. I do see the doors flying open and all the jewelry spilling out at one time or other, it just has this one flaw but overall for the price it is a very adorable start for your princes playtime. The jewelry, plastic it is but doesn't look cheap, cute, cute, cute!

My daughter recieved a bag of groovy girl dolls from a good friend whose daughters had grown out of them. For Christmas she got a doll house, so we bought a little groovy furniture to go with it. I love these products. They are soft, so there is no falling on sharp edges or dropping it on your foot. They also hold their shape and are very durable.

The detail on this set is wonderful, as with all Calico Critters products. I love all the accessories that come with this set, too. The armoire opens and you can put your extra clothes in it. However, it is very hard to hang them on the hangers and hang them on the bar, so we just put them in there and close the door. (The door stays closed)

My favorite piece is the vanity. The mirrors are on hinges like a real vanity and it comes with the cutest bottles to place on it. The only thing I'm not really crazy about (but can live with) is the cover for the bed. It does not lie flat on the bed. Maybe some ironing will help it to lie flat, but I own a steamer and no iron so I can't try it.

All in all, we love this bedroom set.

This is a really cute Calico Critters furniture set! Very detailed, it will provide tons of fun for your daughter.

The main pieces are a bed, vanity and armoire. They are all made from white plastic. I'm not sure what the scale is, but it seems to be somewhere between 1:12 and 1:24. The vanity stands 3 1/2" high, the armoire is 4" high, and the bed platform is 2 1/2" by 4 1/2". It is a girl's room, but Calico parents will also fit on the bed. If you are buying this set to use with other figures, note that there is no footboard on the bed, so a bigger figure can still use the bed, if you don't mind their feet hanging off!

The bed platform is plain, but the headboard has a shaped top with heart and dot designs molded in, and lavendar bedknobs. It also comes with a light pink fabric/foam mattress, a pink floral pillow and a pink floral coverlet. The pillow is decorated with lace on the sides. The coverlet is really nice it has an attached ruffled skirt with lace trim, flat lace down the center and a white ribbon bow at the top. It doesn't really hang on the bed the sides stick straight out, but is nicely styled way better than the bedspreads on most doll house furntiure.

The vanity has some molded floral design at the top, but also has a lavendar vine design printed on the doors. The vanity has two working doors with gray plastic handles. Inside the doors is a mirror, and the back of the doors are also mirrored. It also features a working drawer with gray plastic handle. The stool is round with a removeable, flocked lavender top. I like this stool, because it is wide enough so that it is easy for my girls to actually sit their critters on it.

The armoire matches the vanity with molded floral design and Lavender printed vines. Its two doors (with gray handles) open wide. Inside you will find a small mirrow with metal hanging bar on one door, and a hanger bar inside. There are also plastic hangers. My daughter hangs 2 dresses in the armoire, and she has had no problems keeping the doors closed.

As with all Calico Critter sets, there are many accessories. A small night table has a pedestal base and a lavender top. A simple lavender rug has ribbon trim, and the matching round pillow has lace trim. My 11 year old loves the vanity tray. The tray is light brown and has a molded wicker design, and holds little (and I mean little!) lotion and perfume bottles. There is also a tiny trinket box with removable lid, alarm clock and double picture frame. It came with other small accessories, but these are the favorites. Note the picture shows curtains, but they don't come with this set. If you are thinking about buying this set for a younger child, the furniture is totally appropriate, but the accessories will probably get lost (at least that's how it works in my house!)

We bought this set to go into a larger dollhouse, because my daughter prefered a girl's room to a nursery. As I said, the scale is smaller than 1:12, but the furniture still looks great in our house. As with all our Calico Critters furniture, this set is both stylish and well-made.

Bottom Line If you are looking for a girls room, this is a great choice.
