Pros:

The 6-piece ensemble is one (reasonable) price

The workmanship is good--finished seams, zippers on the backs of boots

Cons:

The riding pants are very tight and difficult (nearly impossible) to get on/off both American Girl and My Generation dolls (reviews on American Girl site indicate that the AG brand riding outfit also has this issue).

The material doesn't feel high quality

All-in-all, except for the too tight pants, it's ok. I would probably not purchase it again for that reason. I think it will frustrate a little girl.

I bought this for a present for my 4-year-old grand daughter. She can manage the dress and hairband, but I can hardly get the shoes on the doll myself. Since the shoes are a big deal to her, this was a disappointment to us. They have NOT loosened up with time. The dress, however, is very cute, and easily managed.

This outfit is really cute. The dress is made well and thoughtfully with velcro attachments for the criss-cross straps. Our platform sandals came in hot pink, but otherwise the same. And the shoes are easy to put on with the snap-on design. The headband is a little cheesy since the flower is made of felt. But we're going to replace it with a more stylish one anyway. Overall, nice fit and looks really great. BTW, get some undies for your companion if she doesn't have any yet. Or you can pair it with leggings.

I thought I'd be a little underwhelmed when I got this but I was very surprised. The Communion Dress was beautiful. The veil was the icing on the cake. My granddaughter loved it and really appreciated having "Rebecca" dressed like her on her First Communion Day.

We purchased this for our friend's daughter, for her First Communion... She had just received an American Girl Doll and didn't have a communion ensemble for her yet... The dress quality is very good and it fit the doll perfectly! I did read another reviewer's comment that the little top is sheer and it is, so a little slip or camisole would be perfect to put under it... The sheerness is higher than the breast area, though, so it wasn't really an issue...

I just bought this as a Christmas present for my 5 yr old daughter. She has an American Girl doll and we just happened upon these shoes when searching for some different clothes. I bought this on a Thursday night and received it Monday afternoon!! We bought 3 outfits and it was only $8.95 to ship all of them plus this pair of shoes. I had to make sure the shoes would fit the doll since it's for Christmas. They fit PERFECTLY! The little details are amazing, the stitching is spectacular!! You will not be disappointed at all. I ordered the doll for my four-year-old after she saw it on TV. It was defective right out of the box. Amazon was great about accepting the return and had a new one to us the very next day! The second doll stopped working in 3 days. This is not really a big deal (except for the money spent, of course) since my daughter has found the doll to be quite boring. It moves slightly to the music but that is about it. Very disappointing!

I have never seen any of the Baby born dolls, but this one is definitely unique. At over a foot tall and made of durable plastic, she is quite the dancing baby! She comes with a cute shirt, skirt, and headband, as well as painted on shoes. Her headband drives me a little nuts because it falls down easily but that could also be kid-error! Baby born dances around by bobbing her head and legs, her little waist moving about. Her arms don't move with the music, but they can be easily posed. With the included cable you can easily hook up your MP3 player for some kid-friendly music your kids already love or just push her belly button for a quick song "Dance with me baby." She also dances faster the faster the music is! Her legs are a little weird because her joints are made to move but she is pretty durable. My 3 year old loves to push her belly button and dance around! She is very silly and cute, as well as easy to use! She does require 4 AA batteries but they are included.

So, I am giving this doll 4 stars because while I find the thing a little creepy, my 2 year old daughter is infatuated with it. We took her to Toys R Us on her 2nd birthday and she insisted that this is what she wanted. That was over 3 months ago and she is still playing with it regularly. It doesn't have a ton of features but she is perfectly happy to dance around with it.

I was reluctant to purchase this doll since there were so many bad reviews. My 3 year old had been asking for the doll for several weeks so we bought it as an Easter gift. The doll is very cute and does everything it advertises to do. My daughter loves it. We haven't had any problems with it malfunctioning as some other of the reviews have stated. My only complaint is the doll is really loud and there is no volume control.

My daughter is somewhat of a tomboy and would rather play with cars than dolls, but we thought she might like this doll. She not only likes the doll but plays with it quite a bit. Dell is well made and pretty. Her hair has a nice texture and can easily be styled in different ways. The accessories are cute and the guitar actually makes noise (to the parents' dismay). And we loved the fact that a donation is made to World Vision.

I have eight of the Hearts For Hearts Girls dolls (just waiting for Shola & Mosi to come out this summer!), so I obviously LOVE this line. I was going back and forth between this Dell & and the original Dell I like the guitar set, but the original Dell's outfit is just adorable. I ended up with this one and like it.

Dell has the cutest freckles and her hair is gorgeous. I can't wait to give this to my daughter!

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She reports that her hair is a little hard to brush but despite that, she likes the hair quality. Her head is a little wobbly so sometimes she ends up looking at the heavens. Her shoes are hard to keep on. The guitar is awesome, she says. She likes it that she's small yet proportioned nicely. She likes details of the clothing and the booklet that they come with that gives the details of her life. The doll fits most American Girl doll accessories except the clothes. Overall, she's perfect in almost every way.

My daughter wanted an American Girl Doll and I could not stomach the idea of paying $200 for a doll so I found this one and she loved it! The doll is very good quality and beautiful. Only down side is that she is a 14" doll and most doll clothes are for 18" dolls.
