This was a gift for my daughter this past Christmas it was well received though it took a while to set up as you had to apply all the stickers (Mattel it would be a joy to all parents plus look a lot better if the designs were simply printed on)

She enjoyed playing with it and it had plenty to keep her occupied a jacuzzi, lots of different accessories lend well to imaginative play, music , sound effects and lights. And to be fair, this was one of her favorite toys that was played with frequently.

The issue was durability. Barbie toys are often not the most durable, but some are worse than others and this unfortunately fell into that category. The ship opens up in the center, and within a short 4 month period of careful play, was not lining up correctly or shutting as it should. The top which opens would spring back up and by 6 months refused to close at all.

Its a shame as this is a fun toy for little girls. Right now the price is pretty low so its a good deal for the money, but really, it would be nice if Barbie products with a big name like mattel behind them, could have the quality to go with the creativity!

Yes the music is way too loud but its that way on any barbie toy, my 9 yr old has the barbie house that also makes alot loud sounds like the toilet flushing & disco music so I just close her door when she is playing w/ it. She really wanted this boat but I thought $70 was way too much for it so I waited for the price to go down and Amazon came through for me, I got it for $40 w/ free shipping. Gotta love barbie & Amazon.

I got this Barbie Party Cruise ship for my 8 yo. for Christmas & for her to share w/younger sisters (ages 5yo.& 3 1/2yo.)It's been a while since Christmas but, they still are enjoying it. More so now that her sisters are getting bigger. They actually have fun using it with other smaller dolls as well. Although, I haven't let them fill it with water yet I'm sure they will like that too. The quality is pretty good. Closing is a little challenging, it sort of snaps at hinges but her being older is not a problem. It offers plenty of play/imagination space but, I think I like the design of some of the older ships how they open a little better. But, I do see how it makes it easier for younger girls who might struggle with larger dolls & fitting them inside. I like how everything stores nicely inside with room for some extras & Barbies. It fits nicely on top of her portable closet & I'm sure would fit most shelves for tidying up. But, I will say this one stayed open for some time after Christmas before I was able to close it up for a bit:) Now it is back out for Spring play! Ohh... Almost forgot!!! They love the ship sounds, dolphin & dance music it plays! I laugh at how it reminds me of a 70's disco. LOL! Fun for a while, then the shine wears off. The neat thing is all fits inside the boat and locks up, so you don't have a bunch of accessories you need to find yet another place for. Glad I got it on sale. The regular almost $ buck price tag would be a bit high. She enjoys it, but think that when summer is here and she can take it outside and play more with the water feature, it will offer more enjoyment. Don't know if I would re-buy it, however.

I got these hangers to put in a baby doll wardrobe. The hook on them is so small I had to "jam" them on the rod.

Good news is that the clothes fit on each hanger fine and with my daughter not able to remove them from the wardrobe herself there will be no chance of hangers left on the floor.

Still I had a image of us taking an outfit out of the wardrobe to try on the her baby or bear.

I guess we'll just pretend that we are in a hotel with the hangers that cannot be removed from the rod.

I got this for my 4 year old niece. She absolutely loved it. She played for hours with her 9 year old sister and 6 year old brother. It kept them entertained. They all had a great time and there was many things to keep each of them busy.

The things we didnt like about it...a lot of the pieces dont sit in place, they tip over or do not hook to the toy. The steps wont stay on, the large screen tv tips over, the mouse wont stay in the cake.

FLIMSY! My daughter has lots of Polly Pocket playsets that are better quality than this. The wall is made of cardboard, not plastic. My daughter love Polly Pocket. We purchased this because it came with a lot of pieces for the price. It took forever for me to put it together and it is cheap plastic and cardboard. The stairs won't stay in place, the mouse won't stay in the cake (scotch taped it) and the fridge, stove, tv tip over very easy so I taped those things to the house as well. Polly doesn't fit in the tub or the bed. My daugther ends up using the potty for her Strawberry Shortcake house, and the others pieces with other doll houses because she can't really use this house. I would keep looking for something else unless you find this cheap.

Best Fisher-Price Loving Family Grand Dollhouse Deals

After researching many dollhouses in the internet, I decided on purchasing this one as my daughter's first dollhouse. Although I really liked some other houses that were made of wood, they were too expensive. I thought this was a better buy to see if she would get into playing with dollhouses seriously.

Keep in mind that there is a bit of assembly when you receive the box The house is together, but you have to put all of the exterior trim on and the staircase.

My main disappointment with the house is that I thought it should have come with more furniture to start. It only came with the basic family (mom, dad & twin babies), a kitchen table set with 2 chairs & 2 booster seats. Thank goodness I wound up buying the extra furniture sets (bathroom, parents' bedroom, nursery & mini van). For the price, i think they should have at least included the kitchen appliances.

Also, I found that one of the folding doors in the back does not readily latch and keeps popping open when transporting the house. And the staircase gets in the way it blocks 1/2 of the first floor! (I just leave this loose so it can be taken out easily)

Finally, why didn't Fisher-Price put in a doorbell that makes sound?! That is one of the most requested items on the house from my daughter. She would love to have a doorbell!

Oervall, this is a very durable, quality product from Fisher-Price and I think it is an excellent 1st doll house for this price range.

My parents bought this for our daughter (who will be 3 in February) for Christmas. It was love at first sight! All the room sets, which are purchased separately, have A LOT of realistic detail to keep my daughter playing independently for long periods of time. Although the house is big, it folds up neatly and even stores some pieces inside.

Depending on where you purchase the house, you get different bonus furniture (we got BBQ, picnic table, swingset, slide, casual dining table set). However, all houses come with mom & dad and, most importantly, twin boy & girl.

After seeing the prices of the room sets, I suggest you shop at Wlmrt to get a much better deal. The room sets my daughter likes most are:

living room (has "working" TV...batteries included)

bathroom

nursery (changing table plays music, includesdouble cribs, etc. for twins)

home office

I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE!

This was a gift for xmas for my 2yr old daughter. it was brand new purchased at toys r us. All of the furniture and dolls advertised on the box to be included were not! The 3rd floor balcony also was not included in the box. Luckly we had purchased a few accesory sets to get started or we would of had a very disapointed little girl!

I called FP and they said they would send out the pieces, instead they sent 2 babies and an awning. I called again and they said they no longer have the balcony or furniture. My daughter loves her house and is not aware that the balcony is missing since it was never there to begin with but I am very disappointed with the situation, I basicly purchased her a shell of a house and were stuck with it.

We made the best of it and still play, the house is loved by my little girl, she plays with it every day thats why I gave it high star ratings.

Missing parts aside, my complaint with the actual functions of the house is that there is no door handle inside to close the door, that makes it difficult to be the one answering the door, but visitors come over again and again, and she manages to let them in and out, even if her fingers get stuck between the door frame and the door.

I got this barbie for chirstmas for my three year old girl. She loves it. Everytime barbie goes flying across the room she just giggles and laughs. There isn't much of a danger to it, if the parents are attentive and watch the child while she's playing with it. I haven't had a problem with the wings falling off, but by the time my daughter windes her and gets her on the string, half of her flying time is gone.

My daughter had been asking for this barbie for at least a month. Bought on Friday, the wand was broke by Saturday. I believe that I was just as frustrated with it as her, the wings would not stay on, especially when her little 4yr old hands was trying to wind her up. If you own any Lalaloopsy dolls, you know how wonderfully cute they are. Feather Tell-a-tale is no exception.

She has gorgeous turquoise hair in two pigtails with a center part down the back. Her red plastic feather is secured to the back of her head with a red button detail. Her bear has the same feather and button on the back of his head!

Her dress is soft and feels slightly suede-like. The red triangles on her dress are like an iron-on, and not sewn on or dyed into the fabric. Her moccassins are adorable and detailed down to every stitch.

Feather has a drainage hole in the back of her head, so if she goes swimming, she can be drained.

This is a beautiful Lalaloopsy which can open the door to exploring other cultures. I highly recommend Feather Tell-a-tale!

Delight Your Daughter The 16 Simple Steps

Supplies needed: Dremel (with circular blade) or similar power tool, pliers, small wire cutters, serrated kitchen knife, industrial strength adhesive solvent. Also recommended: steel core-lined work gloves, protective eye wear, small bandages, antiseptic spray, medical tape.

Simply turn package over to reveal "perforated" area. Use serrated knife to hack through reinforced polycarbonate along this line. Next, wearing protective eye wear, use Dremel to cut through clear polycarbonate plastic housing on left side. Use wire cutters to snip all 26 points of product restraint in this area. Apply solvent to additional epoxy glued areas, wait 5 minutes to dissolve, then carefully detach. Repeat process for right side.

Once all 52 security straps have been removed and access points through hard plastic shell have been sawed, use pliers to wrench remainder of plastic housing away from base, (avoiding puncture wounds to hands) while forcing jagged sides apart.

Remove shoes on item to unhook final small-gauge aircraft cable restraints from legs. Treat your wounds, clean up, and your task is done.

It's just that easy! You've removed your child's Lalaloopsy Doll from her packaging!

Doll arrived just as described. While doll has little educational value, in the realm of creativity and the arts, I love it for my 8 year old daughter. The toy seems as though it will break or malfunction easily. The hair knots very easily and becomes matted. It spins, and stands on it's tippy toes and does everything the manufacturer says. I wish this doll did have a better battery source. It goes through duracell and energizer batteries very quickly!

I was surprised to read all the negative reviews on this toy. My daughters, age 1.5 and 5 years, simply love this doll. My older daughter doesn't play with any other dolls to speak of. But she loves to dance and the two of them dance together with Dora in the kitchen all the time. Sometimes Dora falls over, especially if they are dancing on an uneven surface, or they knock her over on accident, but she hasn't broken yet. Sometimes Dora's arm gets stuck in the raised position, but that doesn't bother my daughters at all. I was hoping to buy another one for my nieces for Christmas, and was surprised to find so few available. In our house, this Dora is a treasure!

We've had this toy for 2 years and it never gets played with by my 5 year old and 3 year old daughters, who both like Dora. Dora moves around and you can hear her music, but it's not interactive and the kids have no desire to follow her moves despite their love of dancing. Does she love it? yes. Easy to assemble? yes. Does it really roll? Well, uh, yes and no. My complaint is that it rolls as long as you don't have carpet/ area rug to push it on. It's a lowrider. And the side panel that opens out will not completely shut (opposite the 'tent' pop-out), therefore, it comes apart while the child drags it across the floor. So, I had to teach her to push it while holding that panel closedsort of hard for a 5 year-old to do consistantly. I had Barbie and her accessories as a child and my complaint on the whole to Mattel would beWhy can't you make'em like you did 30 years ago? The quality with all the 'new' Barbie items just isn't there. My best advise is to spend your $70 bucks at EBAY on the 1972 version of this.

I was very disappointed in this camper. I had the original orange one as a child and I played with it outside in the yard with my dolls. This new one doesn't roll because the wheels are not large enough. My daughter has to push it across the floor! The box claims "Wheels really roll" but they don't. Very disappointed, I contacted Mattel and they said they'd mail me $3 voucher for my problem. Not much consolation for a $70 toy that is poorly designed.

My 6 year old wanted the Barbie camper because she plays with my old one when she visits her grandma. I thought it would be a nice addition and although she is happy to have it and likes the fact it has sounds, she was complaining in the first 5 minutes that the wheels don't work. Who designed a Barbie camper where the wheels aren't low enough to really roll across the floor (carpet or hard flooring)? And I agree with the other comments that the sides don't stay shut when you try to move it and the only storage space for the utensils/plates flies open all the time. It really is cheaply made. I think Mattel needs to do some serious design and quality control with its manufacturing plants. We also have the Barbie with the hair coloring and it is horrible quality. My girls still love to play with them and some of them are good like the John Deere Barbie...and I will say the Diamond Castle was well done when we bought that but the products are not consistently good like they were years ago.

My daughter received this toy for Christmas. Because of it price it was her big present. The toy did not last until the end of the Christmas break. The canopy snapped off and was unable to be repaired. My daughter is four and very careful with her toys. The design of the canopy makes it very difficult to close for small hands. It also does not have any supports to hold it up therefore it sags. I would not recommend that anyone buy this toy. It will be a disappointment to your child.

All my 8 twin girls wanted for Christmas was this camper. I searched and searched for it and eventually paid an outrageous price for it. It was all worth it though to see their faces on Christmas morning when they saw it under the tree. However, the joy was short lived as the camper was a huge disappointment. It is SO cheaply made, the wheels don't roll so it has to be dragged across the floor. It doesn't close properly so it opens when you move it and all the teeny tiny pieces fall all over the floor. My girls played with it for half an hour but got so frustrated with it they put it aside and it remains in the place they left it on Christmas morning. I know they are so disappointed with this cheap product but it's nothing compared to the disappointment I feel. Mattel should be ashamed of itself. It's the same with the barbies the legs, arms, heads fall off in no time. They also got one of the 3 musketeers barbies and the wand broke taking it out of the package!! Step up Mattel think of the children!!
