Buy Barbie Life in The Dreamhouse Ken Doll
The doll is fine but comes in brown shorts rather than black pants... not a big deal unless the only reason you chose this was because of the pants like my kids did.Very attractive looking figure of Ken, boyfriend of Barbie. The figure is handsome and clothes are perfect fit. Looks cute

It is a cute bright colored product. Easy to assemble and not very fragile. My daughter loves having beds for the girls and the small decorations for each bed. Although not very educational is a lot of fun to play with it.Best Deals for Barbie Sisters Sleeptime Bedroom and Stacie Doll Set
My two daughters have absolutely fallen in love with the Barbie Sisters series and sets. We have collected most of them between my two daughters, aged 7 and 4, and have been very happy. My 4 year old received this set for Christmas and has had such a fun time with it. Between my two daughters using it all over the house, my nephew stepping on it, and a couple of tug of wars between the girls over it, it has taken quite a beating since we've gotten it. I am happy to say that the bunk beds have survived all of these things, and we even still have the laptop and ipod that came with it, which are favorites. The only problem with it is the ladder. This constantly falls off, so my daughter doesn't even use it. It hasn't taken away from the fun factor though. Since this has been so durable and fun, I ended up buying a second set for my 7 year old for her birthday.Honest reviews on Barbie Sisters Sleeptime Bedroom and Stacie Doll Set
I just bought this at walmart for 27.98. Why on earth is it selling for more than double that on here? Great toy, will provide hours of fun!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Barbie Sisters Sleeptime Bedroom and Stacie Doll Set
The price was consistently higher priced, but this product was hard to find. Our 5 year old daughter has had hours of fun playing with this in her barbie doll house. It's kind of flimsy, but its still in one piece and it gets hauled around quite a bit. Our daughter isn't that hard on toys though. She enjoys pretending she is having sleep overs.Friday, September 12, 2014
Review of Monster High Frankie Stein Doll with Watzit pet
My daughter just bought 2 different Monster High Dolls....She has been playing with them for hours and loves them! She was never into Bratz or Barbies etc...but these dolls she likes because of the spooky theme. The arms people are complaining about are meant to be removed with ease so that the clothes can be changed. She has not had a problem with them being too loose, just right. I hope they will come out with some other outfits or even expand the doll characters. Overall, so far I would recommend these dolls, they are really unique and display nicely for collectors as well.
The complaints about the arms, however, are right on the mark. My daughter took Frankie Stein to school in her backpack, and the arm fell off somewhere between the bus and home, and is now missing for good. She received the Cleo DeNile and Deuce Gorgon set as a gift, and Cleo's arm fell off and got lost THE VERY NEXT DAY. We now have two Monster High dolls with one missing arm each. Luckily I was able to convince my daughter that mummies and Frankenstein monsters lose limbs all the time, and that their amputations only make them more convincing!
I called Mattel's customer service line, and they don't offer replacement limbs, nor do they consider a loose limb a defect, so they won't replace or exchange a damaged doll. So if you do manage to lose a limb, you're out of luck!
I hope they come out with new characters and start stocking the shelves a little better. Our local Targets are already sold out!

My 7 year old LOVES these dolls. I'll have to admit that they are WAY cooler than the typical Barbie. This line of products even has my daughter reading the new "Monster High" novel, which is well above her reading level, but she's reading the book every night anyway, so I gave the doll three stars for its "educational value".The complaints about the arms, however, are right on the mark. As a monster movie fan, I fell in love with these dolls at first sight and my daughters were not far behind me. After a couple weeks of the girls working for their future purchase, I bought Frankie Stein and Draculara for them. They could not be happier! They are super cute dolls and I find the detachable hands and arms very helpful. We have not had issues with the body parts just falling off (and that is even after my youngest child has gotten ahold of them a few times in the past couple weeks).I hope they come out with new characters and start stocking the shelves a little better. Honest reviews on Monster High Frankie Stein Doll with Watzit pet
These dolls are the cutest dolls ever but I have had 2 dolls fall completely apart within an hour of being out of their box. Now, I understand that the arms are meant to disconnect and we have had no problems with that at all. The problem we have had is that the legs of the dolls are held together with a gold elastic band between the body. This elastic, if not assembled properly, becomes pinched in the plastic of the doll and movement of the dolls legs breaks the elastic piece by piece until the dolls legs fall completely off and there is no fix for this! It does not matter how gentle you are with the doll if the elastic was pinched in the plastic when it was made then the doll WILL break. I have called Mattel twice about this problem and recommend any other mother who has had a problem with these dolls legs breaking off to call them as well. My girls are older and within the recommended age limits for this set of dolls. The issue is a manufacturing error and Mattel needs to redesign. An elastic piece holding a dolls legs together is poor and cheap design and needs to go back to the drawing board.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Monster High Frankie Stein Doll with Watzit pet
I am an adult doll collector, and I LOVE the Monster high dolls. They are adorable and strange, and very poseable. Yes, they do come apart (some articulated dolls do...I've got several 27cm obitsu dolls as well that do the same thing, albeit with 'tighter' joints). I think that they were probably aiming for an older audience (preteen maybe?) with these toys. The joints could be a little less loose, and they definitely need to put out a Ghoulia doll (maybe more clothes as well for the characters). But all in all, I think the dolls are wonderful, and quite appropriate for girls who play carefully instead of dragging the poor toy around by the hair or a limb through the dirt. Like with all things, one really needs to use common sense when purchasing toys for younger children. If it has small parts, probably not for them.Thursday, September 4, 2014

I was very pleased to find this doll for my grandson. At the same age, I purchased similar dolls for my children. He was happy to see him and the doll is well made to last through toddler play.
There were two things I didn't like the navel bandage covering a weirdly shaped navel didn't last long for an almost 3-year-old and I had to search for an almost pleasant facial expression. The collectors might not care if the doll has a crying or screaming face, but a toddler does.
This thing totally freaks out my coworkers, I put him in my seat when I stepped out for lunch to guard my cubicle. Its a great deterrent, I took him out in public and no one would make eye contact with me.
Would not recommend this for a child.

This spring, my niece Vanessa was expecting her first baby and I was hosting a Baby Shower for her. There was a game requiring two life-size newborn baby-dolls: a timed competition to undress, clean the "poopy" (actually peanut butter) diaper, and re-dress the doll, using actual preemie/newborn clothing (which would then be gifted to the mother-to-be). I ordered two of these dolls for that game, and they worked wonderfully -the only glitch is that their little arms and legs are so stiff and so tightly bent that dressing them is a struggle. To our amazement, little Jack decided to make his debut three weeks early, and the Baby Shower was postponed another 6 weeks! (Mother and son both doing great. Daddy too.) My young granddaughters have since happily adopted "William" and "Harry" for playtime, which was part of the original plan too. Since Vanessa has all the clothes from the game, my granddaughters have asked for more preemie-size clothes to keep these life-like, truly anatomically correct dolls warm and cuddly.Honest reviews on JC Toys La Newborn First Day- Real Boy

Review of Fisher-Price Dora the Explorer: Dress-Up Adventure Dora
My daughter got this doll for Christmas last year, and it's easily her favorite. She adores all things Dora, but this toy is definitely the most played with of all her toys.
I think the outfits are a little pricey, but if you shop around and wait for sales like the day after Thanksgiving, you can find them at a reasonable cost. We bought them all in one shot last year, and have been doling them out for special occasions.
I like the fact the basic doll comes with a puppy, as well as Backpack and a storybook. Each outfit has a separate theme (with coordinating book) and they're constantly adding new outfits to her line, so you can pick and choose which you prefer.
My only complaints is getting the shoes and hats to stay on, otherwise my daughter has no problems dressing the doll and getting Dora ready for her adventures.
Overall we're very pleased with this toy purchase and will probably have it for years to come.
Dora is well made and sturdy, and her clothing has even been through the wash and no harm done.
And I have to admit ... I've been known to dress Dora a time or two myself. We have the same problem with the shoes not staying on well, but it doesn't seem to bother my little ones at all.

Great for the little Dora enthusiast. Pull on pants, velcro bracelet and velcro backed shirt. I like that Dora wears a painted on pink bra and underwear. This way when my daughter carries Dora around without the clothes, Dora is still dressed. The shoes are an issue as writen in other reviews except that my daughter seems to like putting her shoes on over and over again. Unlike all of her other dolls that just go without shoes because she can't do it herself. Dora's hair seems to stay flat and in place. It is also easy for my daughter to brush. Dog, backpack and book are a nice touch.Best Deals for Fisher-Price Dora the Explorer: Dress-Up Adventure Dora
I bought this in october for natalie's birthday. She is so thrilled with it! She takes it along EVERYWHERE. The doll is fully poseable and comes with a shirt, pants, shoes and a small book thats sorta hardback(better for younger children). dora looks very pretty. her hair is rooted and her eyes are big and pretty. she also comes with a backpack and map! her backpack can be taken off and things can also be stored in it(like her shoes and signature bracelet). and every child knows that it isnt dora unless there is backpack and map! i think she's a tall 15' or 18' tall(she's pretty tall)! you can also buy add'l clothes for her to wear and they all come with books too! A very fun toy for any little one who loves dora!Honest reviews on Fisher-Price Dora the Explorer: Dress-Up Adventure Dora
Both my 3-year old daughter and my 5-year old son (to his father's chagrin) love playing with and endlessly dressing Dora. Her outfits are darling and my children enjoy mixing and matching (or not-so-matching in some cases) the clothes, too. We are looking forward to adding new outfits as well as the armoire and bed Dora needs a place to sleep!Dora is well made and sturdy, and her clothing has even been through the wash and no harm done.

My two year old received this toy for her birthday, and it's been a favorite ever since. This is a sturdy, well-made doll and I forsee it lasting many years, even with constant play. I agree that one of the only big problems is that the shoes do not stay on. However, the beach outfit does have shoes with elastic that seem to stay on fairly well--except that my daughter cannot put them on her doll by herself. The hats don't stay on either, which can be frustrating. Otherwise, it's easy to dress/undress, and lots of fun for my child. Another word of warning: if your child is like mine, and enjoys taking dolls in the tub or pool...beware that Dora's hair takes DAYS to fully dry. And after that first adventure in the pool, the hair hasn't been the same since! It's nothing major, and my two year old couldn't care less, but an older child may notice the difference. It's also a bit tricky to get all the water out of the body cavity. Just so you know!Sunday, June 29, 2014

Cheap Barbie My Scene My Bling Bling Barbie Doll
I am all for Barbie, but I have to say, this is the sluttiest doll I've ever seen. I have never been a big fan of Bratz dolls, but I have yet to see a Bratz doll that looks this bad. I think it's sad that Mattel feels they have to make this kind of doll to compete with the sales of other trashy looking dolls. The other My Scene Barbies are cute and cool. This doll is just obscene.

I think they should rename the doll. Instead of 'My Bling Bling' Barbie, why not 'My Little Hooker'? It's disturbing to think a toy manufacturer would market these dolls to girls as young as 6 years old, but what disgusts me more are the parents who would buy them.Honest reviews on Barbie My Scene My Bling Bling Barbie Doll

Okay, what are we teaching the little girls of today? I am 16 and I'm in search of an appropriate doll for my 6-year-old sister's birthday. She had said something about wanting a "'pretty' bling-bling doll". So Im searching for my scene bling bling dolls and a sluty row of dolls pop out and Im shocked. Okay I have to admit, these dolls are load of fun, and they last forever. Educational value? Zero.0.Zero.0. But I put one because I can't put zero. What was mattel thinking when they put this doll on the rack? We are showing little girls its okay to go out hardly covering what we need to cover. Thats not good. Girls look at dolls as their role models. The little girls of today are going to turn out like this. We better do something. Thats all I have to say.Monday, May 12, 2014

Monster High Toralei Stripe Doll with Pet Sweet Fang Reviews
Even if you grind up this doll and smoke the resulting powder, you will not get close to high enough to pay over $100 for a hunk of plastic that normally retails for $16-20. Mattel has created fake scarcity that benefits hoarders and scalpers at the cost of holiday tears from sad children.
Don't give these scum the time of day, much less 500% markup on a child's toy.
For shame.
Toralei is the daughter of the werecat, though she never really changes forms, she is always as she appears.
It's worth noting there are some visual differences between the doll and the cartoon character. The animated version of Toralei has visible fangs, and a cat-like nose, and no tail. The doll actually has a tail, but has no painted on fangs, and has a normal human nose. Toralei, like all the other dolls in this line, has her own unique face mold, including the fact her ears are nothing like Clawdeen's or Clawd's. In fact, I suspect a lot of the little changes they made to the Toralei doll from her webisode appearance was to help establish that she is not the same kind of creature that Clawd and Clawdeen are.
Toralei comes with a short bob hairstyle that is firmly held in place by thick styling gel. While it is feasible to rinse this gel out, be forewarned that doing so will result in a more "fluffy" hairstyle, and the stripes painted onto her hair will likely fade, and potentially lose some of their cohesion. However, some people prefer the look with the gel washed out, so your mileage may vary.
As noted, she has a tail, and this pops in and out of an anchor in the small of her back for easier dressing. This also means if you find an outfit you really like on another doll in the line, you can just pop Toralei's tail out and she can wear it as normal. (Toralei's unique outfits have holes or velcro available to accommodate her tail.) She has unique hand molds; they have her gloves molded and painted on, but her gloves also have metal studs on them, which makes them different from previous "molded on glove" style hands we've seen.
Toralei's accents all involve stripes, or cat toys in theme. Her purse is especially adorable to me, because it has what is clearly a cat toy (fuzzball with two feathers attached) charm attached to it. She does a good job of standing out and being unique among a whole line of unique dolls. As the other reviewer notes, she is bright orange (her face is actually two tones of orange, though this doesn't always show up well in pics of her), and most of the other dolls in this line are cool colors, like greys, blues, greens, browns, whites, etc. Toralei is definitely one of the brighter dolls, and this isn't a bad thing.
All in all, if you are a fan of the show, or this line, you will probably be really thrilled with her, even if she is a "bad guy", her doll is simply lovely.
Don't give these scum the time of day, much less 500% markup on a child's toy.

I got lucky and snagged this one for $22.99 on Amazon, just barely over retail price. I've noticed the ridiculous prices she is going for on here right now, but if you wait it out you'll find her for the right price. Check your local Walmart, Target, Toys'R'Us, Gordman's, Kohl's, Sears, KMart, JCPenney, and Justice as well. I know it's a lot of driving around and online searching to do, but you will find her. As far as the doll itself, she's awesome! I think Mattel stepped it up just a notch on the way Toralei looks compared to some of the others. She's brighter, and her outfit and accessories are bright and bold as well. Her body is a bright orange color, brighter than the pictures indicate even. Her hair is a darker orange than her skin, but also nice and bright, with black stripes in the front. It's hard against her head so there really is no need for the brush she comes with. One of the things I like best about her is the way her eyes have been painted. They are bright green cat eyes, much more noticeable and more well thought out than some of the other dolls' eyes. It's also a change from the other dolls that her hands have little studded gloves painted on them. Very cute! She has a long removable tail. I've read on other reviews that her tail pops out easily, but I have had no such problem. The tail on my doll is sturdy and just adds that much more to the look of her. The only thing I've really noticed different about the Toralei doll and the cartoon is that her nose isn't painted like a cat nose, and she doesn't have fangs painted on, but has both of these in her cartoon version. However, even these things being said, I still give the doll 5 stars. The pictures that are featured of the doll online just don't do it justice, and when you see her up front you will understand. Good luck to all who are still searching, and I hope you enjoy her as much as I do!Best Deals for Monster High Toralei Stripe Doll with Pet Sweet Fang

Why would anyone make a doll at average worth around $20 ten times that amount? Needless to say while I do really want this doll, I will never want a doll THAT much. Most I'll spend is probably $40. I'm an adult doll collector who first heard about the movie because I saw the doll at Target a while back. Now that I've seen the movie and bought the doll, I have a few things to add to this conversation. I bought this particular doll because it was the only one I could find in my mid-size Texas town, and because it was the cheapest one, which suited my limited budget. The doll is really cute, and she does resemble one aspect of Merida in the movie. Unfortunately, as a previous reviewer pointed out, this particular doll is wearing the prim and proper light-blue gown that Merida hates, instead of the dark-blue one she goes adventuring in. She also comes with a comb for her hair instead of Merida's beloved bow and arrows. Finally, even though the doll is pretty, she doesn't really have a lot of hair and her knees don't bend. She may look like Merida, but she's more like what her mother wants her to be in the movie, instead of the tomboyish moppet Merida really is. I'm satisfied with the doll because she's cute, she reminds me of Merida, and she didn't cost a lot. But if you're buying a doll for a picky child, or you don't mind spending more, you might want to get a more upscale version.
This Merida doll is made by Mattel but is Disney-approved. She is wearing the dress that Merida wore in the movie when the heroine was seemingly about to be married off. She is absolutely lovely looking and though her hair is not as wild as some might like it, she does not appear to be a vacuous Merida version of Barbie either. My daughter is absolutely sure to love her as she likes the dainty looking type dolls. Whereas the so-called "official" Merida with bow and arrow may have the more rugged appearance of the fiery red-headed princess from Brave, this Merida doll is every bit is lovely. She simply has a different design and is styled to represent a different aspect of Merida.
This doll is not fully articulated but for the age level of the daughter I am giving her to, this is not a problem. In fact, I would say she is more age-appropriate because she does not have as many moving parts. But she appears extremely well put together with a lovely expression that shows off the softer side of Merida that some girls might appreciate more than the rough and tumble version. And as I have preschoolers to consider, she is very age appropriate for not having a bow or arrow that I have to worry about my little ankle biters choking on.
In conclusion, I feel that this doll is well put together and doesn't deserve the one star pannings she has received by folks saying that she is somehow "less than" the so-called "official" Merida found on the Disney Store website. As a father of three daughters, I have to be sensitive to not only age-appropriateness and individuality but also of quality and safety. Had I even a moment's concern that this doll was somehow substandard or put together poorly, I would be the first to pull the one star lever. But this Merida doll made by Mattel is of good craftsmanship, quite lovely and exactly appropriate for the girl she is going to be given to. So don't you be believin' she's not a Merida because she's not a "Disney Store" Merida. Different? Yes. But every bit Merida and I am quite certain that any little girl would be thrilled to receive her at Christmas, for a birthday or just as a surprise gift. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope I was helpful to you. Merry Christmas.

I recommend that you pay the $2 extra bucks and get it from the Disney store online. The doll actually resembles the movie character as opposed to the one sold here. How do I know, because I bought this one first! Oh, this doll is not posable... you can't even bend her knees!Best Deals for Disney/Pixar Brave Merida Doll
We have both this doll and the version from the Disney Store. Spend a couple extra dollars and get the one from the Disney Store. The quality is worth it. Not only do you get a much more beautiful doll (it actually looks like the Merida from the show), the Disney Store version comes with accessories that my daughters love. And let's talk about hair. The hair on this doll is now a complete ratty mess. The Disney Store version is still nice despite being well loved by brushes and combs. This doll also isn't posable. Not even the knees. I'm sorry if my kids like their dolls to be able to sit and do other things besides stand. This toy now simply takes up space in our toybox.Honest reviews on Disney/Pixar Brave Merida Doll
There seems to be some bit of controversy over this Merida doll. I've read reviews that say she's a waste of money, a cheap knock-off and that I should spend my money getting a "real Merida" doll from the Disney store. In the spirit of full disclosure, I have ordered two other "Meridas" from the Disney store Disney / Pixar BRAVE Movie Exclusive 11 Inch Classic Doll Merida & Disney / Pixar Brave Movie Exclusive 16 in Toddler Doll Merida. Why did I not order them from Amazon? They were half the price at the Disney store when I ordered them but whereas this Merida doll has arrived and is ready for Christmas, the Disney store took ten days just to ship the above-mentioned two and are still on the road. Why three Merida dolls? Three daughters of three different ages with three different maturity levels. This Merida doll is made by Mattel but is Disney-approved. Well made, adorable, nice size for a baby. I wanted to get a lovey for my 1 year old as we started sleep training. She shows zero interest in this guy; prefers the one that's smaller and stuffed with little balls. Although she does like their faces and will point to them and smile occasionally. The pink is more of a hot pink than you see in the picture, which makes it look more rose pink.

We got one as a gift. Until he was about 3, my son HAD to have his "sandman" every night at bedtime. He LOVED this thing. So we bought three backups. They are very well made and can be put in the washing machine and dryer.Best Deals for Kathe Kruse Waldorf Gugguli Doll
I bought this doll as a "lovey" for my then infant son. Having grown up in Germany, I had a similar toy when I was little, and totally adored it. So when I found the Kathe Kruse Waldorf Guggli online, I had to have it for him. He loves the bright colors and the super-soft material. When he is teething, he also likes to chew on the doll's cap. This Guggli is the perfect size for a young child to bring along everywhere. the floopy body makes it easy to grab and carry. My 19 month old never goes anywhere without it. For this reason I actually purchased two, so that we can prevent meltdowns over misplaced loveys, and I am actually considering getting a third, just in case.
