Now I understand why it took forever to get this toy opened--it was necessary to hold the flimsy thing together. My grand daughter was so very disappointed. She is 8 years old and very capable of handling small toys correctly, this one just didn't
work as advertized. Even though they give you (obviously needed) extra tiny rubber bands in order to pull the handle back, the ball whips so hard that it just knocks the light weight doll off and bangs the toy ball off clear across the room! By the way,
the bowling pins are just tiny, flimsy pieces of cardboard! The only positive thing I can say about this toy is that it
provides a good lesson in patience! Unfortunately, that's not something I usually have to pay for! Not recommended for any age!

Our 4 year old daughter loves this toy. She is capable of working the pull-back lever. She loves to put it on hard floors and watch Polly fly across the room. Like the other reviewer said, the bowling pins are just plastic and she knocks them down as she rides over them. Honestly, it's a great toy if you need a few bucks to qualify for free super saver shipping. There's a reason it's only $3.
