I purchased this at Toys R Us for my 5 year old niece. I asked the sales clerk how the wig stayed on and she assumed it was Velcroed on the head. I asked if I could open the box to see and was told I could not. I gave it to my niece and she was thrilled to know that she could remove the wig and wear it herself. Once she was done wearing it she tried to put it back on the head. It was difficult for her without help from an adult. To our disappointment, the wig is not velcroed onto the head. It is only held by the elastic around the hairline of the head, so when you go to brush the hair, it slides off the head.

My 4 year old daughter received this as a gift and was very excited to open it. It's great that the wig comes off the kids had an awesome time putting it on eachother, as well as mommy and daddy, to style "our hair". However, the wig DOES NOT stay on the head. Frustrating for both parents and children alike. I will likely end up geting velcro strips or using super glue for my own sanity. I would not purchase this again.

It came in a timely manner and was in perfect condition. It is a little sturdier than other styling heads, but Individual hairs come out easily. It is also difficult to keep the hair and cap on the head. It slips off. My granddaughter, age 6, was thrilled with it, but became disillusioned by the entire cap slipping off so often and having to be replaced by an adult. The age on the box was 6+. Maybe an older child would have more patience.

Bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter. She loved it. She liked that the wig came off. We didn't have any problems keep the wig on the dolls head like some reviewers had mentioned. The hair is fairly good quality as far as not tangling real easily etc.
