I purchased this doll, Trichelle, from my local Toys R Us, for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. It wasn't on her list, but she likes playing with her Bratz Sasha Styling Head, so I thought she would enjoy this. There was a barbie I used to have in the 80's that had gold wire strands throughout the hair so you could curl it.(I think it was called Golden Dream Barbie or something like that). So I was excited when I discovered this one. All the dolls in the So In Style line are beautiful. The hair is soft & the outfits are really cute. I chose Tricelle because she reminded me of my daughter & I liked her outfit the most. You are suppose to spray the hair with water with the little spray bottle that is provided. Then you use the plastic curling iron to curl the hair. It does curl, but the curls only last about 5 seconds. By the time you get to your second or third curl, the first has fallen. My daughter gets a little fustrated with it, because she wants to curl all the hair. If the curls lasted longer, she would play with it more. The chair is a little flimsy, and her necklace broke on day 5, but the extensions and hair accesories are cute. Overall, the doll itself is very nice. We just wish the curls lasted longer.

My daughter wants to be a hairdresser when she grows up, so when we see a doll like this, we buy it for her. It's right up her alley. Well when we bought this one, we bought another one with it: Barbie Teresa Glamour Surprise Doll (2001) That other one is the one she LOVES. Its chair fits a Barbie more securely than this one, and its hair changes color with a real blow-dryer.

This one is pretty, but not half as much fun as the Teresa doll with a similar salon chair. If you have any questions about either product, feel free to contact me via my website.

Trichelle is so urban chic, comes with lots of Beauty Shop accessories. She's awesome! SIS dolls are 12" tall, made of vinyl and come in 5 different skin shades. New to the line, Marissa(Hispanic), has very light skin; Trichelle, is also very light, Grace is mocha colored; Kara is brown skinned and Chandra is a dark chocolate. Some of these dolls come articulated (jointed) at the elbows, wrist, and knees, others may have just bending knees, and still others are non bending.

The SIS doll line is considered playline (mass produced for children), but adult collectors have been paying collector prices ($25 and up) for this line of dolls for the last 2 years. If you don't live in a large ethnic community you won't find many if any of these beautiful dolls. For that reason, we are pushed into paying 50% or more over retail value.

When buying from Amazon (not sellers using Amazon to sell their goods like Ebay, because like Ebay the prices are much higher) you'll get a "closer to retail price" , in other words a reasonable price. Hey, just take a look on Amazon under SIS Trichelle and you will fine the set of Trichelle and Chandra going for over $300. I purchased the same set 2 years ago for $28 right here on Amazon.

To get a reasonable price on SIS dolls, you have to look on Amazon frequently because the prices change alot. Once these dolls become hard to find you will pay alot for them!

After the brilliance that was the first 2 Barbie as Sandy Dolls in the Grease collection as well as the current "Cheerleader" Sandy, this doll is a huge disappointment. Not only does the face really not resemble Stockard Channing, the hair is a mess(also several little bits of it can be seen stuck to the inside of the box that I received and in nearly every box I have seen in stores.) While the outfit is cute and true to the character , it looks very cheaply made. While I suppose the doll is worthwhile for the true collector of Grease memorbilia, others should probably stick with the Cheerleader Sandy.

My daughter loves barbies and asked for a Liv doll after seeing a commerical. I am usually not one to jump to buy something my kids see on tv because they have been disappointed in the past. The price was so good I thought I would buy one. My daughter loves this doll. The joints all move , so unlike barbie the Liv dolls are easily posable and much easier to dress. My daughter loved this doll until the hair stopped staying on. It is supposed to be removable/changeable, but now, it doesn't stay on and none of the other hair styles will stay either. She likes it well enough with the painted/short hair, but I know she would have preferred if the hair stuck around.

These dolls are great! They are VERY posable (and life-like), and I love changing their wigs to give them different looks. Since I turned 13, I don't really play with dolls anymore, but I enjoy posing them, changing their fashions, and photographing them. The only thing I don't like about Katie is her shoes (they're ugly!). By the way, Katie's stock photo shows her with a headband, but she doesn't actually come with one.

I purchased this doll for my 3 1/2 year old daughter as a change from the normal Barbie and I am so glad I did. The doll is beautiful. I love the fact that you can switch wigs on them. I bought three of them so we do a lot of hairstyle swapping. They have many joints which makes it very easy to make pretend they are performing tasks. Except, since my daughter is only three, sometimes her doll's extremities look very odd. Nevertheless, this is a great doll and comes with cute fashionable outfits and accessories. I only paid $6 for it on a lighting deal during the Holidays, but, would pay more. If I had to choose between Barbie and LIV (price being the same) I would pick LIV in a heartbeat.

I bought this doll for my Mom's 86th birthday. Mom has Alzheimer's, and we have had trouble finding things that she likes to do or have. I had seen Adora dolls on the Alzheimer's Store web site, and they had a video on the Someone to Love doll's page that showed a woman with Alzheimer's talking to and singing to one of the dolls, obviously delighted with it. I had not planned on spending this much on her gift during a "tight money" month, but after seeing the video, I decided to get an Adora doll for Mom. I bought it from Amazon instead of from the Alzheimer's Store, because the price was significantly lower on Amazon. To make sure I chose the right Adora doll for Mom, I selected several that I thought she might like and showed her the photos of them. Although she changed her selection several times, this was the only doll she chose twice in a row, and when I asked her again later in the day, she still wanted this one. I knew she would not remember it later from seeing the pictures and the doll would still be a surprise on the big day.

Today was her birthday, and I gave her the doll. She loved it! She mentioned over and over how pretty it was, and she held it tenderly and gazed at it, smiling. She touched its hair, its feet, and fingered the dress while looking at it. Then she used an expression we've never heard her use before--"It sends me." She was so absorbed with the doll that it was really touching, and she talked about each part of it. She loved the eyes, the lips, the hair, and even the bow in the doll's hair. I'm looking forward to seeing her enjoy it every day, and I'm so glad I overcame my hesitation and bought it. I wasn't sure if she would engage with it or not, but she totally did. Now I have that wonderful feeling of satisfaction, knowing that I got her the perfect gift. I was very impressed with the doll's realistic-looking features. The little fingers and toes are so lifelike, and the face is adorable. Everything about the doll is excellent. When I asked Mom what she liked about the doll, she said, "Everything."

I also must mention that this doll came beautifully packaged. It is shipped in its own box, which is placed inside a larger box and padded with paper. When you open the doll's box, she is covered with a wraparound paper and has a hairnet on to keep her hair in place during shipping. She is tied to a backboard with white ribbons so that she does not move within the box. This is all designed to ensure that the doll arrives in pristine condition, not messed up and not damaged. It was exquisitely packaged, and I regard this as a mark of professionalism and attention to detail on the part of the company.

This doll exceeded my expectations. Nothing could take the place of the moments spent watching Mom with her doll. I recommend that if you get this as a gift that you have your video camera ready for a priceless video. If your recipient responds to the doll the way my mom did, you'll want to keep that moment forever.

I received two of these strollers for my twin girls when they were 1 year old. They have played with them every single day and now they are two years old and still playing with them everyday. They are lightweight, safe and for them, lots of fun. They seem to hold most dolls along with any stuffed animal. The stroller itself doesn't have any pinch situations or any harmful bolts sticking out and therefore safe for my two toddlers. The stroller has the durability to last for more than a year and still looks brand new. It also seems to be sturdy enough to hold some weight because the girls also place bags on the handles and the stroller doesn't tip over. The only change I would suggest is that the cloth that extends to hold the baby doll seems to come off easily if not really pulled into its position.

I bought this stroller for Christmas for my then 16 months old daughter. It was love at first sight for her! Two years later and countless hours of play with it, this stroller is still standing and rolling like a charm! My daughter takes it with her on our long walks, and is not always super gentle with it...so I am quite impressed with the quality of this stroller (and cannot beat the price!). After 2 years of almost daily use, it seems like the elastics that connects the fabric to the frame are getting looser, but even if they break, I could easily sew them back.

Great toy!

Edit: Four years later and still rolling! Now it's the little brother's turn to take it on walks, carrying his dolls or trucks, depending on the mood. The elastic completely stretched out by now, I made a knot to hold the fabric up. Again, great bargain!

Fabric is very thin and flimsy, so for durability I say I don't like it. However the frame is nice so if you like to sew, I would suggest sewing a whole copy of what they made, only with sturdier fabric, and keep the nice frame because that plus the wheels and all, seem to be holding up quite nicely since my 7 yr old was being kind of *ahem* and sat in it and contributed to it's ripping and tearing all over. The ends are simply slipped onto the metal frame so they slip off far too easily. I sewed them up around the hinges and the tops broke a few times, had to sew that up, too. I stick a needle in, and pull a bit on the fabric and it makes a big hole, that's how weak and flimsy this fabric is.

When I first looked at this doll, I wasn't sold. I didn't like how BAM her clothing was compared to the rest of her. However, when my best friend bought her and sent me pictures to show off, I realized that her clothing wasn't as obscenely bright as the product picture would lead you to believe. Once I had her in hand, and out of the box, I fell in love. I especially love the fact that her skin is white and fades to translucent at the end of her limbs. Definitely an awesome selling point. All and all, I love her and I'm glad to have her in my collection.

Spectra is spectacular in her Picture day form! She comes dressed to the nines. Her Silver shoes are close-toed with chain details. The shoes offer a peek at the top of her clear feet.

She sports chain print leggings in hot pink and sark violet along with a black pleather mini skirt. Her shirt echoes the purple and pink present on her leggings with smaller chain links detailing it. The sleeves are black fishnet material, that flows down her arms.

Spectra's wig is full and long. It is made of softer, silky fibers and is easily brushed. Her hair color is a much softer violet than some of the other Spectras. I find it a gorgeous variation.

Her Face mold show us softer cheek bones unlike some of the earlier more pronounced cheekbones found in the Spoectra dolls.

This dolls has many other cute details Including a lock and key earring set. A Gray cluch with a black chain wristlet ( The purse does not open). She also comes with a pink binder, sporting the chain motif ( Rejoice the Binder opens and closes). A fearbook replaces the standard diary. The fearbook has stickers for the younger monster high fans allowing them too customize it to their liking.

This doll also comes with a stand which is nice for we collectors out there. I highly recommend this doll for all Monster high fans. She is my favorite Spectra to date!

i love her hair, eyes, skin, her transparent hands. her clothes are cute. i was able to find another outfit on amazon, called a "fashion pack." i'm a 47 year old mother of 3 boys and wasn't allowed to have a Barbie as a child. I grew up in the 60's/70's and had several drink and wet type dolls. I loved them and played with them all the time. It was a thrill to change a "real" diaper because it was actually wet! The dolls were very low tech (no tech actually) with just a hole in the mouth for the water bottle and a small hole in the bottom for the pee. Yes, the water would just come right out. No big deal...it was supposed to. It wasn't a lot of water, just a smidgen.

Remembering how much fun I had with this type of doll, my mom looked high and low for one like it for my now 6-yr-old daughter for Christmas last year and came up empty handed. So glad we found this doll. She is just like what I had as a child. It will be a fantastic present for my daughter this Christmas.

I think part of the problem today is customer expectations. This may be the fault of the manufacturer...if they positioned the doll as a potty training tool. The doll is obviously an infant...not old enough to even "walk" yet so clearly would not be time for potty training. The potty seat should be left out of the box. This seems to be the case with most of the other drink and wet dolls I now see on Amazon. Everyone keeps mentioning the potty training aspect. Forget the potty training with this doll...and just let your child enjoy a basic caring-for-baby play time and you should be happy!

My daughter recieved this as a gift for her 2nd birthday. I had hoped that it would help as a "demo" for potty training, but, like the other reviewers have said, "Annie" has poor bladder control! She is really cute and my little girl loves playing with her, so I'd still recommend it, just make sure Annie is wearing her diaper when you feed her and keep a paper towel close by.

Because this doll is relatively new, I ordered it without having any reviews to go on. I was planning on using it as a demonstration doll for potty training my 2 year old. However, I was dismayed to find that the doll only wets while she's drinking i.e., she can't hold her pee. Consequently, this doll was not very helpful for potty training, unless you want your child to associate drinking on the toilet with peeing (and not surprisingly, my son asks for drinks while he's on the toilet now :)).

That said, this is a cute doll. The potty is only useful if you want to hold her up she can't sit very well on it by herself. Just be aware that if you get it for your child to play with, the doll will pee right away if she gives her liquid.

she smells good. We used this doll for potty training purposes along with the toiled training in one day book. What a dream come true!!!!

I wished I had bought a slightly bigger doll since the water almost comes out immediately even though she was still laying down. It was perfect for the training purpose as we only used her for about an hour and then went to potty training mode.

Now that potty training is complete she is thrown along with the other dollies. OH yes, one very cool thing that sets her apart from other dolls it the moving eyelids. The kids loved this and are amazed by her eyes opening and shutting. Shes a cute doll and perfect for potty training! 2yr old daughter named her June. ha ha
