I can hardly begin to describe how fun this toy is right from the box. I find this doll very engaging and entertaining. I cannot really comment on durability as i have just gotten her. As she is a bit more expensive than the average doll and the purchase may require additional thought, I have a few comments on her basic operation for parents considering this purchase:
Her talking is very cute but she does a lot of it, so if you don't like noisy toys she may not be the right choice for your family. She moves when activated but will only do so when on her stand, otherwise she will talk and sing without motion. She has an on/off switch that also has a setting for her trial mode, which is active when she is packaged. She uses four AA batteries (which she comes with pre-installed, though her instructions advise changing them upon purchase for best performance) which are accessible via a hatch molded into her hair that is removable with a screwdriver, so a child will not be able to get it open on their own... At least not without tools.
She has six interchangeable hair parts that remove and attach easily, and she comes with a pouch to keep them in. When talking she will sometimes ask for a specific hair part and I would imagine that a child might become fussy about this if a part were lost, depending on the child, so whether your child can keep track of all the parts, or will mind if they've lost one, is also something one might want to consider. According to the instructions the hair parts also change what songs she will sing, so again, keeping track of the parts is fairly important.
Overall she is quite adorable when her on switch is activated and functions almost like a regular Lalaloopsy when she is off. Her arms are part of her "dance" motion and are not as mobile as the regular dolls, but her legs "dance" via a joint at her waist, so the legs themselves work just like a regular Lalaloopsy and she can sit the same way. Her dancing action and hair twirling are accompanied by mechanized whirring but it does not really detract from the toy in my opinion.
I hope this review has been helpful. Overall, Harmony B. Sharp is Lala-love and I highly recommend her!

LALALOOPSY HARMONY B SHARP is a fun and interesting toy. She is much more interactive than I realized. You need to make sure that your child does NOT loose any of the hair pieces or the hat. She will ask for a certain hair extension and will not perform those functions without it so if there's not a bag for them (I have not opened the box she's in) you need to find something to keep them in. They are very important to her operation. I don't think a child would find this toy boring even after a long time of play. She performs so many functions and would keep your child entertained. I got her for my granddaughter (who's been begging for her for a long time now.)Best Deals for Lalaloopsy Harmony B Sharp
I admit when Lalaloopsy dolls first came out their eyes kinda creeped me out. Since though their bright hair, funky clothes and silliness has won me over. Now Lalaloopsy has come with a doll that is actually entertaining in addition to being cute and silly!Lalaloopsy Silly Hair Star Doll is a pretty big doll (you can see her standing next to my printer in the picture below) that attaches to her included doll stand. She dances, sings and talks and is ready to go right out of the box. Yes I love when toys that need batteries come with the batteries they need to be played with right out of the box. Harmony not only sings five songs but she dances, which is why she comes with the doll stand so it can hold her up to dance! Her body moves around and her pigtails, which you can change with five different styles, spins around hence making her Silly Hair Star!
Harmony works with or without her stand, but the stand makes it easier to dance and be displayed. My 16 month old things this doll is absolutely hysterical and she pushing the button on Harmony's chest like there is no tomorrow! She is a pretty durable plastic doll, a little awkward on her feet since she has a big head, but I see her lasting through rough play. She comes with a little plastic purse to store her hair pieces and I do recommend keeping them together as Harmony does ask your child to put on different pieces for different activities. The pieces do snap in and out pretty easily too which is nice since kids like to do things themselves.
Overall, we love the new Lalaloopsy Silly Hair Star Doll. Her songs do get a little annoying but she makes my daughter happy and keeps her entertained. Very cute and different. Not sure though she is worth more than $50 but I'd pay about $40 for her.
