I saw Umi a few months ago at the Ashton-Drake site and could NOT take my eyes off her. Her half dreamy eyes don't open or close, but as light shifts, you'll swear she changes expression. She has the weight of a real orangutan baby and her arms, legs, and head have that soft crazy hair that wants to do its own thing. If you take her out in public, it's guaranteed she'll get attention. DO NOT GIVE THIS DOLL TO A YOUNG CHILD THIS DOLL IS NOT DURABLE!! This is NOT a doll for play; she is for the collector who wants to poke a little fun.Friday, October 3, 2014
Reviews of Wendy Dickison Little Umi Orangutan Doll: Collectible Monkey Doll
This girl was given to my 4 year old as a gift. However it is not a toy. My daughter is an only child, and is more careful than most adults I know. She adores this doll. She keeps her in a small Playpen, and carries the play pen around with her. The doll has a cloth body and very realistic feeling skin and hair. The hair on her head is glued on and should not be touched much, to prevent it from falling out. The hair on her arms and legs is put in through little holes. The doll is very heavy for it's size. Much like A real baby.
