These are wire-framed not plastic and seem to be sturdy. My daughter absolutely loves them, and they fit great on her American Girl dolls.

I just got these for my little 5 year old to put on her 'not quite' American girl doll. She lit up when she saw her doll now had glasses just like she did. They fit great and are still on even though they've been quite abused. She's received a lot of compliments about them and is carrying that doll around everywhere now! So cute, love them! But they kept popping off the 18inch dolls head. It was like her face was too wide for them. They also didn't really line up with her ears. But, oh well, my granddaughter loved having them for her doll anyway.
