My 8 year old daughter begged for this setI was reluctant because I figured it'd be flimsy and it looked like a ton of parts, etc, but ordered it anyway.
Pleasantly surprised that all included items are VERY sturdy, metal (aluminum?) and durable. She's played with every piece daily since we got it and no signs of wear whatsoever (and I ordered this months ago.)

This is exactly what my daughter wanted for Christmas for her American Girl doll! The wheelchair and crutches are very well made and aren't cheaply made like others I looked at.

I ordered this so my younger daughter could be like her big sister, who has the American Girl wheelchair, crutches and cast. The wheelchair and crutches in this set seem that they would be fine, but I sent it back because the cast is either broken or defective. It won't close around a doll's leg. Too bad because I really didn't want to pay to order another American Girl set, but at least that one functions as it's supposed to.

It may seem like a crass, insulting toy accessory, but on the contrary, it gives children insight into the handicapped world, that some children must go through. I recommend this as a learning experience for kids 6 to 10. Well made, and accurate representations of the devices that are unfortunately needed by individuals, with disabilities to navigate the world around them.
