The First Communion outfit looks exactly as pictured. The description states white velvet slippers. Slippers are not velvet they are faux leather as seen in the picture. The ribbon is not sparkling at the waist and there are no pearls at the neck line. It also does not come with bouquet of flowers that the doll is holding.

What you are getting is: white communion dress with sparkles, white faux leather slippers, and white flowered headband.

It is a nice item but not enought to justify the price.

Gave this to my niece for her first communion. She loves American Girl, but I wasn't going to pay for an outfit from them. I still paid more than I was willing for this outfit, but it was a special occasion & I knew she'd like it. It's much prettier in person the details are incredible and the dress material shimmers. I was afraid that buying another brand would compromise the fit on the doll, but it did not. Can't wait to see what I can get her for Christmas from this collection. Very sweet!
