My daughter just opened this doll for Christmas. I think I was more excited about it than she was! Lol! We were going to get an American Girl but none of them really looked like my daughter. This doll is beautiful! Beautiful face and cute outfit. The body is soft an her eyes close. She has a solid weight to her that makes her feel very durable but I am hugely disappointed with her hair!!! There is no way her hair is going to be possible to brush in two days. It is extremely fine. When brushed, the curl turns into straighter frizz. I knew the second I touched it that it would be a problem. It almost has a sticky feel to it. I am shocked. I was expecting thicker, silkier hair.

I brought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves the doll so far. This one might not get played with as much as the smaller plastic dolls but that might be because of the doll houses for those types. Realistic feel on the doll.

My granddaughter has four 18" dolls including AG and MapleLea so I am making doll clothes continually. I wanted a doll here to use as a model but didn't want to spend $100+ for it. This doll definitely fit the bill and in the meantime my granddaughter thinks of her as one of hers (only when she visits). Her hair is gorgeous, she stands alone and her proportions are correct plus no cloth on the neckline. Love it. Her name is Serena.

My wife looked for alternatives to the really expensive American Girl dolls and this is a very good alternative. Well made and best of all my daughter loved it.
