I love the simple face that follows behlmann's illustrations.
Her clothes are removable and small so like all toys with little pieces this doll is intended for age 4 and up.
My 4 year old loves these little dolls and plays with them more than the big cloth Madeline doll.
I love that the doll clothes are cloth and not plastic. I can't wait to see a Pepito or Miss Clavel.

This doll is probably good for kids over 5 but I would not classify it as a toy: it's more something to look at.The jacket is impossible to put back on once it's off as are the shoes. Haven't dated to take off the socks knowing I'd never get them on again.
If you want a Madeline doll to sit up high, out of kids' reach, then this is a really cute doll. But don't plan on letting your toddlers actually play with it.
