I purchased this as a birthday present for my granddaughter, who is Ariel obsessed. She was very disappointed that when you turn the skirt inside out, the "tail" is very "bunchy" as she put it. I could have predicted that this would be the case, but once again, this is a case of the advertising draws in the children, only to disappoint them in the end.

This seems like a good deal since you get the mermaid and princess outfit. However, it's bulky and the clothes are attached to the doll.

If I had it to do over, I'd buy a few outfits and the standard Ariel doll

My 5 year old has been wanting the Ariel doll since her birthday in November but they were overpriced until recently. She LOVES the doll. Yes, the tail is bunchy when you switch but I wouldn't expect the puffy dress to magically condense so I wasn't surprised. I think it's worth the $20 price, but not more.

I liked the concept of the doll, and it was sent on a timely manor. I just did not like that the dress does not come off and that when my sister tries to switch from dress to mermaid it does not look very good.
