Review of Barbie A Fashion Fairytale Ken Doll

I think this Ken is positively hideous, but my 4 and 1/2 -year-old daughter thinks he is quite "handsome"! His haircut and "stylish outfit" are hilarious! I confess that I bought him because he was cheap (and how!) and she needed a new Ken for her Barbie play pals. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder and since my daughter is the one playing with him, he has happily joined her collection of Barbie dolls.

I would recommend buying this Ken just for the sheer entertainment value it will give you!

I bought this for my daugther for Christmas becuase she didn't have any boy Barbies. I wish i would have saved my money and found a better one. The main drawback for me is that he is so stiff. His legs don't bend at the knee so having him sit down is a bit hard becuase his legs stick straight out.

It's the worst toy I ever gave to my niece. I felt ashamed. It's cheap, low quality, his hair has glue on it to keep it in place, te clothes are poor quality and it looks androgenous. It's like a Barbie with a awful haircut and her boyfriend clothes on.

What's with this weird version of a (super) bleached-blonde Ken and who in their right mind would pay almost twenty bucks for him?!?!?!

Just as another reviewer on here admitted, I also purchased the Fashion Fairytale Ken for a great price on clearance (six bucks!) so that my little girl's Barbie dolls have another guy friend. This isn't even close to resembling the Ken I grew up with, but the price was right considering the few options available for that dollar amount (ie: standard plastic doll with a bathing suit). This Ken is actually worth the normal retail value of $12 just for the fact that he's fully dressed in a three-piece silver/metallic suit and tie, and he's wearing dress-up sneakers which really aren't that bad looking. But, the pink tie and weird toupee hair-do are pretty over the top. Once this guy is let out of the box, he's getting a haircut first thing!!!

Not a bad purchase, but definitely shop around for the best deal out there!!!
