The Hearts for Hearts dolls have all the charm of the larger, more expensive Karito Kids dolls. These dolls have great stories and individuality that really introduce girls to different cultures, even history, in a very approachable way. The size of these dolls is nice, too. They are more portable than the larger 18-21" dolls, and have a broader age appeal. They are small like a baby doll but have the hair, look of the larger dolls that can be cumbersome for younger kids. Similar to the Karito Kids, a portion of the sales goes to charity (that helps girls around the world), and there is a nice, interactive online piece that older girls will find appealing.
Lauryce has a very unique lookonline, she looks like a traditional blonde doll, but in actuality, she is a girl of mixed heritage. Quite beautiful. She has a nice story, too. My 8 year old really likes her Lauryce doll and is already trying to decide which Hearts for Hearts doll she wants for Christmas.
On another note, if your little girl is looking for a beautiful doll but mom n dad don't want to shell out the $$ for the more expensive dolls, these are a great choice.

My daughters used to play with American Girl dolls, but these are so much easier to handle because they're smaller, they are a fraction of the cost so they can have more dolls and they're just as cute and quality
