To start: I'm a collector. First off, getting her out of the box was really easy. Getting her accessories out was not. There is a lot of tape around the bottom of the box, and tons of things to snip. The actual doll slid right out which was great. I undressed her, and very gently took of her riding jacket. The shoulder seam was torn, and needed to be sewn up. I took off her boots, and I haven't been able to get them back on. Her body is made out of very soft plastic, over a wire armature. The horse dolls are made a little differently, so that the dolls can sit on their horses properly. She can sit on her horse wonderfully, but she can't stand very well. to sit her on the horse just slide her body on, she sits perfectly with no need to move the legs. However, she doesn't stand well. Her legs are very stiff (I only own this one, so i'm unsure if it is just her) and to get her to sit or stand on anything besides the horse won't happen. when trying to make her stand her head will face down. I'd be very careful with the legs, and make sure a child knew she was a riding doll, and that the legs are only meant to sit on the horse. The legs might not stand up to rough play. So, if you get this doll you *must* get the horse. I keep her seated on the horse because she'll slide off of a shelf. I have no complaints with her hair, as it's braided. despite the packaging woes(what packing isn't woe inducing nowadays?) and the seating trouble she's a rather nice doll. she as great features, and sleep eyes. She comes with lots of accessories (some are very small, like the lemon wedges, smaller than a finger nail.) She even has a blue ribbon. The ribbon has a band on the back so that Lily Ana can hold it. She also comes with a book, describing her adventures, and another outfit. The dress is of good quality, and the shoes, as usual are plastic. make sure all the white packaging threads are off the dress before putting it on. I didn't catch all and the dress didn't fit until I snipped the last few off. Her face is much more pleasing than her predecessor(The battat 18" dolls). The line has a *lot* of other outfits and accessories, and the price is good. I got her mostly for the horse aspect, so I'm rather pleased. I'd give her a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

My daughter's name is Lilli so we just had to get this doll. She was only three around the time we got her. My daughter wasn't really able to dress her, but she still loved this doll! As she has gotten older she has played with her more and more. She is now able to dress her. The clothes are well made. Not as good as AG quality, but for the price they are just fine. The accessories with this doll are really cute and go with the story in the book so makes it nice. One note is that her hair seems to be pretty stuck in the pigtail braids. We tried to take them out and comb it down, but that middle part just wouldn't go away. It's a quality doll and stands up well against the more expensive AG brand. We have an AG and the real difference is the wig.

My daughter, age 9, is very happy with this doll. She purchased it with her own money. She seems to most enjoy the little lemonade and dessert set that it comes with. She also uses this doll on a horse from the same mfg.
The clothing is made of very poor fabrics. As little fabric as it takes, they could have made the riding pants at least out of something with a little stretch to make them easier to get on/off the doll. The red satin dress is fraying I noticed and it has only been on the doll twice. The shoes are too big for the doll by 1/4 inch and don't even stay on.
We got this doll on sale for $27, which, combined with the fact that I am a pretty fair hand with a needle, made it not such a bad bargain.
Honest reviews on Our Generation Doll with Book - Lily Anna/Adventure at Stable
I was not going to spend nearly $100 for an American Girl doll for my 4 year old, I kept looking at the Our Generation dolls at Target for the longest time and finally picked this one. My daughter is pretty rough on her toys and so far Lily Anna has stood up to her wear and tear. I purchased a OG doll case to help keep her nice and I think its worked. We haven't undone the braids yet, so far her hair has stayed nice. The clothes that come with Lily Anna seem to be a big tight, especially the pants but that is probably my only complaint; the boots are also pretty much impossible to put on, I took the laces out. I like that this doll comes with a book, its a bit advanced for my 4 year old but she still enjoys hearing a few pages at a time. Overall I would recommend this doll as a frugal alternative to American Girl, little girls will love them just as much.

This is going to be a Christmas present for a child so I am not sure how to rate the durability and other factors. It looks great and I am sure she will love it.
