My eight year old daughter received this for Christmas to use with her American Girl dolls. It is a perfect size for them. She uses this for her doll "school" area with the desk and bench, for dressing up her dolls with the closet area at the end, and for the dolls bedroom. Lots of pretend play and some storage area. Looks very cute set up but did take my husband and I a little bit of time to put it together on Christmas Eve.

Got a loft bed for each of my girls and they both love them. They have had the beds now for almost a year and they continue to be a favorite toy. The neighbor girls and my girls are constantly playing with them. The beds are beautiful, and put together well and very sturdy. The girls and I had a fun time putting them together, and it made the time go fast and it was simple enough. The beds are large, so they do take up a lot of space, but as long as you are aware of that it shouldn't be a problem. The doll clothes and shoes do fit nicely in the storage area, and the bed is large enough that two American Girl dolls can fit in them. The only thing missing from making this perfect, is a matching pillow and blanket, however my girls have not complained about it and just absolutely enjoy playing with them.

This loft doll bed is much larger than we thought it would be but it's darling and really cleverly designed. The parts were well marked and made the assembly relatively simple. You get a lot for the price: the desk/bed/armoire and the unattached bench and chair. It's perfect for our (only) 5 year old's American Girl doll (or roommate, as we now call her).

However, I strongly suggest checking out the dimensions before purchasing.
