I ordered 4 of these for my daughter's first ever sleep-over. It kept them happy and busy for at least 30 minutes :-) The only tricky part with these is rubbing the foil onto the stickers. Excited 8-year old girls might not read instructions, so make sure you cover it with them before they get started. First you put the sticker on (sticky side out), then you put the foil over them (shiny side up), and then rub on the foil.

After buying the design plates this refill was needed as my daughter just wanted to create more designs and we ran out very quickly..

The dress itself was cheap and the marker was useless to draw on the dress, the ink would spread as my daughter was trying to draw design on the dress it would have been it was $1, definitely not worth spending $10...
