We built a huge dollhouse for our 3yr old for Christmas and needed big, durable, kid friendly furniture to go with it. The furniture is a good size for Barbie size dolls and fits well in our house but it does not stay together and it rather blah to look at. It's all yellow but being wood (or particle board), it is paintable. There are no little details like a plastic or foil type surface on the mirrored vanity or any detail other than the shape of the furniture itself. Biggest issue so far though is that with the slightest drop onto a hard surface such as our laminate flooring, the pieces break apart at the seam where they were originally glued. (though I really don't see any evidence of glue) For the most part it's been fixable with a little wood glue but we did have one piece, the kitchen table, that has a split right up the leg just from being dropped. Would I buy this again? Probably, but I might buy a bottle of wood glue to go with it.

I bought this exact set at Wal-Mart online for $10. At that price for an entire wooden set of dollhouse furniture, I figured I couldn't go wrong. The listing that I'm seeing here is priced at $35, and I would never pay that much for this set.

These pieces do NOT fit standard size wooden dollhouses at all. The dolls that usually come with those houses are far too small, and Barbies are way to big! The bed is 9.5 inches long, Barbie is 11.5 inches tall, and dollhouse dolls tend to be around 5 inches tall. This set is right in the middle and NOTHING on the market is quite the right size. Furthermore, the pieces aren't even in scale with each-other! The stove, vanity, and sink are way to small compared to the table and chairs, and what they're calling a 'coffee table' seems more like a step-stool compared to the living room furniture. The chairs that are supposed to go with the tables in this set are too tall, there is only the tiniest fraction of a inch for the doll's legs to squeeze underneath the tables so they have to sit quite far away. The image shows a little girl happily playing with small plastic baby dolls. If you are lucky enough to find a baby doll (NOT a dollhouse doll) the right size for the bed, don't expect it to fit into the skinny bathtub opening!

The quality was what I expected for a $10 wooden set. When I got this package, it was tightly packed in styrofoam cut to fit each piece perfectly, and still I found knobs broken off of the sink and stove. A little bit of wood glue fixed them up fine, but it could pose a choking hazard for a child inclined to put things in his or her mouth.

All in all, I'm not upset that I bought this set for $10, but it isn't worth anywhere near the $35 they are asking for at the time I'm writing this review. Granddad is building us a wooden dollhouse to accommodate the odd-sized pieces, and my toddler daughter probably won't care at this age that the dolls are nowhere near the proper size. However, if you're planning to purchase this set to go into a house that you already have, or to actually fit a specific family of dolls, then I'd look elsewhere and pay a bit more.

This furniture is very cute, durable and the best I have ever seen. Fit barbie dolls perfectly. The only thing I would change is the collor of the furniture which is an ugly yellow. I painted it pink and white and then it became PERFECT. Purchase with no fear, you will not regret it.

Great furniture for toddlers. It is steady and easy for small children to handle. The yellow was a nice color for boys as well as girls.

I haven't been able to find furniture that is this scale anywhere! I knew when I bought this set that I would be painting it myself and it's been a fun project. Now it's cute and custom for the rooms!

My girls love the substantial feel of each piece and it stands up to lots of playing abuse. They also love that Barbie and Princess dolls fit perfectly.

I did have two pieces that came broken but I glued each back together and you'd never know it was broken. And I wish it had a refrigerator (just a suggestion).

A great set for super-reasonable price!
