My 6 year old begged for a Moxie Snow Girl this Christmas...and absolutely loved it. She is a cute doll but comes with some smaller parts that I'm sure we will lose over time. She also came with some "fake snow" that you can make by putting a teaspoon of the mix in water. I let my daughter play with it in the sink and will let her have it outside this summer, but it's not something I would want to find in my carpet.Friday, April 18, 2014
Discount Moxie Girlz Magic Snow Doll- Avery
My daughter was so excited by the commercials showing the instant snow practically exploding out of the bowl. We followed the instructions and got the snow powder to fluff up a bit after adding water and stirring it. It didn't make very much play snow. The snow is supposed to be reusable after drying out, but it is difficult to collect and didn't seem worth the trouble. My daughter still loves to play with the doll which is cute and well made, but the snow was a big dissapointment. We are going to try Steve Spangler's Original Insta-Snow® which can be ordered on line at . Apparently Insta-Snow absorbs water so quickly it really does errupt like the snow shown on the commercial, but there are a lot of knock off formulas and products that don't work as well. The site also gives hints on the educational opportunities the insta-snow presents.
