We have five of these currently in rotation. This particular towel doll was one of the first toy we gave our daughter when she was adopted at ten months old. The original as well as a lambie sit on a bookshelf, loved to patches and still needed to be looked at and handled occasionally although not loved quite as hard. At age eight she still has her lovies -lambie bear (actually two separate towels dolls but needed together in extreme emergencies), pink lambie, polar bear and bunny foofoo. These dolls are a very soft material and held up well to constant handling and many washings.My 3 month old baby girl loves this bear. It'll be a few months before I let her sleep with it, but she likes to hold it when she's in her car seat. Very soft material.
