This Draculaura is more awesome than I realized.

The wings she is wearing are attached with a plastic piece that clips onto her shoulders and another piece that clips onto her waist. The section of plastic that runs down her back is made to look like corset lacing and has a cute pink bow at the bottom. One thing I didn't expect with the wings is that they are hinged! You can fold them back more toward her hair, or bring them forward toward her face. Also, the wings sit higher than pictured; The highest tip of her wing is as high as the top of her head. Most importantly, she can be placed on her stand while wearing her wings.

Her outfit is beautiful. Her tights fade from black at the bottom to pink at the top. Her shoes have printed lacing on the sides with a heart with bat wings at the top of each. Her pink plastic collar is shaped like a spider web, and can be removed.

Her hair might need some restyling since her curls were flattened in the box.

She comes with a pink pail, a handheld mask, a skeleton, and a pair of pink bow earrings. The skeleton's head moves, but the body is all one piece. There is a hole in the skeleton's head where you can place one of the bow earrings.

My 6 year old daughter is a Monster High fanatic, and Draculaura is her absolute favorite! She has all of this character's dolls, and this one might be her favorite. The wings come off, she has the most adorable skeleton doll (which she can hold) and her face, hair, and clothes are gorgeous! The quality of the doll seems better than the first line.

Amazon is my go-to retailer for many things including toys. I'd visited my local Walmart and seen this particular Monster High doll that my granddaughter was all about, so i wanted to see how much better Amazon's orice might be.

Was I in for a disappointment! This $19.97 doll at my local Walmart (and on Walmart's website) shows up on Amazon for $34.94. Really?!?

I saw this happen some last year on Amazon as Christmas neared and the craze over Monster High dolls was at a fever pitch. Some of the prices Amazon wanted were close to scalping, but they were the only retailer with available stock for some of the Monster High dolls, so you either ponied up or did without. But this particular doll is openly available, so I don't know what Amazon is thinking.

I know what I'm thinking heading to Walmart for this particular purchase. Sorry Amazon!
