I ordered this set as a substitute for the American Girl product. I originally went to the AG site and put in for this and several other items. Because the delivery date was quite a bit longer than I needed, I went on Amazon to check theirs. They did not have the same product but it was still my lucky day. I hunted down a similar product that was much better as well as being cheaper and more readily available. The set contains a whisk, slotted spatula, wooden bowl and spoon, and a ladle all finely crafted and suitably durable. Let your little one get out the grown-up version for you while you're cooking and put dry flour plus cayenne in his/her little bowl to stir. This will satisfy the tot's need to mimic you but discourage eating what is being played with. I wouldn't combine liquid, though. The play set would become difficult to clean and may even break down.
