Review of Barbie Electronic Balance Beam Gymnastics Game

It seems fun 6 flowers that light up... 4 different games... an active toy... but it didn't work. Imagine my 5 year old daughter's frustration when Barbie tells her to hit the blue flower, she does, and Barbie says "no, try again. Hit blue." Yes, honey, you are hitting blue... Barbie is a moron.

The concept is great hit the colors Barbie tells you to, or make music, or play a "twister" type game, etc. I think she would have played with this all the time had it worked.

Anyway, Amazon was great about taking it back and refunding my money, but now it is unavailable which makes me think I'm not the only one to find it defective? If it worked, I think it'd be a cool toy... but I think they need to work the bugs out before they try again. My rating was based on if it had worked hoping that maybe I was just unlucky and they aren't all badly programmed! :)

My daughter got this toy as a gift recently and plays

with it every day. She can't get enough of it! And all her

friends that come over to play are just fascinated by it. It's

a great indoor toy that where she can be physically active

(which also helps during the winter months when it's harder

to do some physical activities outdoors). The tunes are catchy,

too. Given what a hit it is with my daughter, I highly

recommend this toy!

My daughter just turned four and received this for a birthday present.... she was crazy about it! There are different "routines" of variable difficulty, and though she is a smart kid, two of them are just too tough of a concept for her, which is ok. Room to grow! The music is fun. The main complaint I have is that you have to re-set it for which routine you want every other "turn", which seems silly. Why not stay in the same mode until you tell it otherwise? And you get tired of hearing Barbie talking, but of course my dauhgter doesn't -and that's what counts! I was glad to find a toy that she could easily use inside and would get her up and moving. Thumbs up!

i agree with the previous review. the balance beam would be great if it had worked properly. one of the games calls for child to step on correct color, when they do, barbie will say,sorry try again!! i believe this is the only game that doesn't work properly, the other 3 games are great. so my daughter has played with the toy for many hours and seems to love it no matter about the one malfuntioned game.

My daughter loves this product. She has alot of fun playing on it. Believe it or not, it is educational in the way of giving instructions as part of an interactive game feature of the beam.

My only criticism would be that it is too short.

she is a 4 year old and her height and weight is slightly above average. It would have been perfect if it was lengthened by one more segment.
