My son loves these dolls (so much so that we've already lost the dad on a cross-country trip). I love that the dolls have subtle Asian features rather than exaggerated, stereotyped ones, like many of the other options out there. The modern clothes is also appealing as it more closely resembles a real-life family. Only drawback is that the legs are not jointed so it's hard to sit the dolls up in chairs.

We bought this set for our daughter to go along with Fisher Price's Loving Dollhouse. They work pretty well with the furniture (although they cannot really sit and stay seated). Their legs and arms move, but they are super stiff and I think they will be forever. Our daughter likes the mixed family as we kept some of the white family it came with, too. I would buy it again as since we really wanted the Asian Family.

To make sure that my daughter will grow up loving herself and her heritage, rather than being conditioned to overestimate white standard of beauty, I ordered these Asian dolls, and they work great! Wish those doll making companies would make more ethnically diversified dolls.

I purchased this for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas to match her Kidscraft doll house.

It's an ok set. They are stiff toys and a little small for the Kidscraft doll house that we purchased. These dolls do not bend; they are not flexible. My daughter has a minivan toy and these dolls are unable to sit nor hold onto to something so they continue to slip towards the ground in the minivan. My daughter got very frustrated with that; it wasn't fun for her so these dolls do not ride in the minivan anymore.

They make the dolls look asian by painting the hair black. The husband/father looks like a caucasion guy with black hair.
