Doll Loft Bed Review

I bought this for my daughter because it was less expensive than the American Girl products, but just as cute. Big mistake. I finally finished building it, but was unable to use many of the screws, since they didn't line up with the pre-drilled holes (and yes, I did unscrew things and try different configurations to make sure I wasn't the idiot). It was impossible to use the dowels they provided for the same reason...if I used the dowels, I couldn't get the screws to line up. Also, in two cases, the screw holes had not been drilled, and I had to use a hammer to make the screw (flat bottom, not sharp) go all the way through.

For the amount of money that I paid for this piece of doll furniture, I expected the quality and ease of putting it together to be much better. It looks cute, I just hope it's stable.

Update: Yesterday I posted this review on Laurent Doll's facebook page. Today when I went back to see if there was a response, I was shocked to see that they had not only deleted my comment, but had also disabled anyone from commenting on their page. Great way to handle social media.

I had a completely opposite experience from the 1st reviewer and felt the need to chime in on the conversation. My twin 8 year old daughters each received this loft bed as a Christmas gift last year. They love it! They were able to assemble it themselves with a little help with organizing the pieces and tightening the screws. Some of the assembly was a bit tricky but they just worked through their questions and were quite proud of the finished product. They play with it every day and their American Girls spend all of their time lounging in bed! The money was well spent.
