This doll has the articulated body that can be posed in so many different poses and that makes for so much more fun when setting the doll in scenes.

The description says "12 points of articulation" but if I didn't make a mistake, I count 11 points of articulation. This newest Fashionista doll does not have the articulation in her chest like all the previous Fashionista Barbies did.

Parts that are articulated:

2 knees

2 hips

2 wrists

2 elbows

2 shoulders

1 neck

The doll I received does have the pale skin tone and the dress looks just like the one in the photo. Fabulous shoes! Hair is black with dark brown highlights. Beautiful facial screening plus she has red lip coloring instead of the standard pink. The Amazon description says the doll comes with a purse but she does not. This newest version has a child-size ring instead.

What you do get: doll; dress; black strappy shoes; black bracelet; ring plus the child-size app ring.

These Fashionista Barbie dolls are also great to buy to be able to reuse the jointed body on other non-articulated dolls so they too can now be articulated. There are instructions on the web on how to rebody dolls.

Any negatives would be:

...the hair needs washed because the hair was greasy. After washing, at least the hair looks clean and more voluminous.

...since the doll has movable joints, the joints tend to be more delicate. For an adult collector, this generally isn't a problem but for children, I wouldn't be surprised if the joints break. This type of doll may be more suited to the older child and certainly for the adult collector.

...again, if children are redressing the doll, the jointed wrists and elbows does make dressing more difficult.

The doll is as described, wears a beautiful dress, comes with a bracelet, black shoes and a ring for girls to wear and unlock games online. The only drawback is the plastic ties holding 'Barbie' Raquelle doll to the box, especially the one attached to her head. I was afraid to cut her hair first trying to free her head from the box, and once I cut a tie a half of it stays inside her head sticking out a little bit. But it's still hidden in her hair. It still can be a great gift for kids to play with or for adults either to collect or play with.

I purchased this for my 11 year old step-daughter. She fell in love with her. She said she is the prettiest barbie she has. She likes the way she moves and has had several hours of enjoyment with her so far. I am going to try to get her some more barbies from this line. Very happy with this purchase!

I initially wanted an asian barbie, which is VERY difficult to find. This is close enough. I like it that the hands, arms, legs and waist all can move. So I can put it in all kinds of positions, which is great!

Barbie Fashionistas Raquelle Doll is very pretty with cute leopard trim dress. Girls will definitely love this Barbie. A must have.
