I bought this dragon for my almost four-year old grandson as a pet for his Knight Keanan. He loved his knight at first sight but his first response to the dragon was "is this for my sister?" The dragon IS very sparkly and colorful. It has a bright Groovy Girls label sewn on its rump. It does look feminine I'm guessing it is a girl dragon.
The dragon has a seatbelt that my grandson can easily manipulate but he has a little trouble getting the knights' hands in the hand holds.
In all we find it is a good, but not essential, accessory for the Knight Keanan.

I bought this for my daughter to go with her Groovy Girls collection but found that my son liked it just as much. The colors are fun and it's a nice size compared to the dolls

I purchased 2 of these dragons for my daughter and mother. Their "special thing " together is watching Jane and the Dragon, so they both loved the dragon. Both can play with the dragon at our house or hers--at least that was the plan. However, less than a week after Christmas my little one came in crying saying that her dragon was "broken". When I examined it the fabric seam had fallen apart. Its not even worth sending back, my husband decided to just sew it back together. My daughter sleeps with a huge fluffy bear from Toys R Us (now that Bear IS GREAT and soft) BUT she puts dragon on the end of the bed (so "Beary" won't roll over on her). She does not play rough with her toys-so I know it is not her fault, but instead poor construction. I would NOT buy this again. The colors are indeed beautiful, but that's not enough for me or my little one.
