Disney Princess Animators Collection 16 Inch Doll Figure Tiana Review

I walked in my local Disney store and bought this beautiful doll tiana for 24.50 plus taxes. What a deal? She is not as big as I expected, but she is a great size and I am satisfied. The doll is very overpriced on amazon and all sites I reviewed online including ebay. Can we get a break? I was told at the disney store that all the animators dolls will be discontinued. I told him the tiana doll is not on disney.com anymore for 24.99. This meaNS Tiana will be going for some huge amounts and I am glad I got her now.

The review: Tiana is so beautiful and her skin is not like regular dolls. It has a feel of clay or something and feels almost moist but it is not. Her skin does not feel like plastic, like other dolls do. In other words, She is not durable and must be handled with care. She has a mischievious look on her face and it so cute. She looks like she just did something wrong and she is hiding it and is a little tickled. I don't have any doll with this unique facial expression. Her hair is so lovely and has a tiny bit of gel on the curls that hang. They feel stiff and that must be from gel.

The shoes dress and frog are perfect and compliment her very well. She is very fragile to hold but she is not going to break easily. Her skin is easy to bruise or stain. However, she is well built and her arms and legs are a little hard to move. Some people mentioned arms coming off. I dont know why. They are hard to move. Her hair is so smooth and soft and a great relaxer it is. Any hairdressor would give her hair two thumbs up. I love tiana and I love this tiana doll. If you dont have her, buy her now! She will be so very overpriced once she is no longer made by disney. happy doll playing young and younger!

I was so happy when the movie came out "Princess and the frog" and I always wanted my kids to have a black princess doll.

and now there she is. Beautiful animator collection. This doll will be given to my daughter

when she turns 4. Very well made and amazingly Beautiful! Thank you Disney.

This doll, for an AA is beautiful! I grew up in the day and age wear dolls of color were not so pretty, but I must say, this doll was designed beautifully and I am glad the next generation of girls have this image of color and pride to look to. I don't mean what I said in any negative way to anyone of any race, nationality, heritage, ethnicity, etc. I am a product of the American melting pot and we have all different racial backgrounds that make us as beautiful a nation as we are today. In reference to this line of dolls from Disney, (I bought one of each doll in the series by the way, for every one of the princesses in my family) these dolls were beautifully designed and I am proud of the detail and effort put into them. I am a die-hard Disney fan. Happy Holidays to you all

and Tiana is absolutely one of the cutest of the collection. However, it seems like the quality of the toy is a little lacking. My Tiana, along with severl others I've tested, have loose arms. The arm doesn't move smoothly in the joint and jiggles if left in one spot. I'm gentle with her but I child would likely accidentally pull the arm off, (Rapunzel has this issue too).

Her hair is made of the same cheap plastic as the others, which is alright considering the low cost, but won't hold up when up to the test of a rough day of toddler or kid play. I love the style it comes in and she really resembles the toddler version of Tiana from the film.

She has exquisite detail. Purple eyelids, glossy brown eyes, glossy lips, knee high socks and (like the other princesses), green painted on panties to match her dress.

Overall, I love her. These animator's collection dolls are sweet.

Unfortunately, I in hindsight knew I should have bought 2 of these: 1 for my granddaughter to play with, the other to keep in box!!! Now, she is nowhere to be found except for upwards of $140 even on amazon!! So disappointed but grateful too that my baby (2 yrs. old)loves her "Ti Ti" doll. She is so pretty so to all the moms who do get her-keep her she is worth it. Sigh...I went through the heartbreak of not finding her (for $25) on Disney site OR the stores. Of course, they had each and every OTHER doll, but no Ti Ti...
