My 4 year-old daughter was soooo excited when she opened up this gift. Her eyes lit up as she had been asking for a toy with Cinderella and the Prince dancing just like the scene in the movie. I showed her how to use it by rolling the toy along the floor in circles. Cinderella spins in circles and the prince, well...he just sort of stands there. Her excitement lasted about 2 minutes and then turned to disappointment as their hands wouldn't stay together during the dance. As she couldn't take Cinderella off the spinning base, she ultimately decided to grab the prince and take him off to her other toys to play. Cinderella hasn't been touched since.
I didn't expect much from this toy, it was only about $5-$6, but it was worth a shot. The toy itself is constructed fairly well, but doesn't offer a lot of repeat play value. Get this only if your kid is a die-hard Disney/Cinderella fan.

My 3 yr old loves this but she was a bit disappointed because Cinderella CAN'T come off but her prince can.. I think it would have been better to have both of them able to come off.. she loves it though and plays with it..Best Deals for Disney Princess Cinderella Dancing Duet Giftset
I bought this for my 5-year-old daughter three days ago and she has been playing with it constantly since she received it! She keeps hugging me and telling me I'm the best mom ever... so of course this will be a positive review. :)Yes, the prince can fall over I'm not too impressed with the stand they have for him but she has figured out how to anchor his foot in the little raised arc on the base of the stand and he doesn't fall over too often. You move the entire base over the table or a hard surface and the two twirl around, Cinderella pirouetting every few seconds.
The biggest plus of this set is probably that both the prince and Cinderella are able to removed from the base and played with separately, too. I see that other reviewers thought she isn't able to be removed, but you have to pull hard to get her off, then it's easy the next time for your child to do it. I think if they had anchored the prince and Cinderella it would have been less fun for my daughter. So yes, we like this and recommend it! Maybe not for 2 to 3-year-olds who are frustrated easily, but for other young Disney princess lovers who are a bit older and don't mind setting the prince in his place again now and then. The dolls have pretty, detailed faces and are well-made in my opinion. Their arms are positionable. This is a good deal for two nice figurines!
