I looked for some uneven bars for quite awhile. The name brands are ridiculously expensive though I knew that the AG brand would be well made, I just wasn't going to pay that much money for it.
I finally decided on this one. It appeared to be well made though it lwas still rather expensive but better than the other choices I had come across so I ordered it. When we received it, I was not happy with the materials they had used and the mat is nice to look at but is quite thin. My daughter loved it so we decided to go ahead and keep it. So far it is holding up well.
It was definitely over-priced and we received it on April 15th, 2013. Will update when it's been at least 6 months or when we have problems with itwhichever comes first.
It hasn't been 6 months yet but but I do want to say that my daughter has used this so much, she drags it all around the house, has taken it to sleepovers and it is still in perfect condition and the mat has not torn at all. That's important because she has used it in all kinds of ways other than just having the dolls do gymnastics on it. She and one particular friend find great fun in, what I call "torturing"the dolls. They have tied the dolls to it in various ways, have tied ropes to the thing and used them to lower it up and down over the stairwell with the dolls or other things tied on to it. They also use it as a sort of dumbwaiter, bringing snacks and drinks up. That is what I know they have doneI'm sure there are many other things they have done that I don't know about. Not sure I want to know either! My daughter is a really good girl and so far they aren't tearing limbs off or setting them on fire or anything which gives me hope that I don't have two serial doll murderers on my hands. ;-) So,I am much more impressed with it than I thought I would be. Hope this helps. I have increased my overall rating as well.
