The Barbie Collector line is *not* for children. I will explain below.

The hole in the hat from packaging, only illustrates improper removal from the plastic tags that are attached to *all* Collector items. (including the dolls themselves) They have to be removed very slowly and carefully, which I imagine a child would not do. I had absolutely no problems putting the items on the model, which I suspect is the root of the other reviewer's problems. These items are *not meant for the standard Ken doll* though, to be fair, it does say "Ken" on the package, which is misleading. The models in the Collector line are *not* made the same as other Mattel fashion dolls, (the female ones are much smaller than standard Barbies, as well) so the standard Barbie/Ken clothes will not properly fit the Collector models, and vice versa.

BOTTOM LINE: Do not purchase this for anything other than the "Barbie Collector" line of model dolls. Mattel really should change the labeling of the accessory packs.

Barbie has so many clothes, but Ken gets his own accessory set this time. The shirt is very nice and I like how it comes with many shoes (still not as much as Barbie). There is a cute knit hat, sunglasses, and a smartphone too.

Barbies can be fun.Sadly the quality of the accessories ( but also the dolls,furnitures,etc)is getting worse and worse by the year.These packages for the price contain usually only one item of clothing ( 1 shirt,1 jacket,1 cover up),which is hard for me to understand-seems the only reason: the company is getting cheap.The quality of the mass-produced pieces are lower and lower,they don`t last,they don`t always fit,and not alwys tasteful (cheap fabrics,unfinished hems,impossible to close velcro,and flashy but cheap looking colors/patterns/bling).

The 90`s Fashion Avenue is a great example,where the taste and quality soared for Barbies and owners.That line was much more educational, and also fun to play with or just collect.And those items are going for high prices stillkeeping thier value :)

Lately even the dolls lost their personalitylot of them has the same empty face in a different outfit.

Would be nice if Mattel finally would get back to the level,where this well established brand should be,intead of trashing it down.

People like to pay these not too friendly prices for toys/collectibles what they can use for years!

The kids who are playing now will be parents soon!!!

This pack is even worse than the Barbie pack we purchased. As the mom, I could barely force the shoes on. My 4 and 8 year old could not put them on. The hat came with a hole in it from the packaging. The sunglasses don't stay on. The watch is neat. The cell phone will likely be lost quickly, but the girls like it. The "magazine" is blank on the inside and has foreign words on the cover. Save your money.
