I found that this toy, only at first was a bit of a pain to use but i read the instructions a few times and it works well, my daughter loves to see the doll 'fly' off her seat and end up on the horse, i would say it stands up well in the hands of a 3 year old but then again my daughter is exceptionally gentle with all her toys, if you have a bit of a 'rough' child maybe you should skip this unless you are also willing to play. Overall i like it and since my daugher loves it and its still in one piece even after endless play its a winner with me.

We got this great Polly set last fall and we love it! You can preform a show (Polly can ride because she has a magnet in her bottom) and the dog is cute! The van roof comes off sometimes but we don't mind!

I am COMPELLED to write a review on this one. Even though this was the hit toy at Christmas because it has a horse and Polly Pockets, both of which my 3 yr old daughter loves, this toy is frustrating for children and hence, adults. I don't know if I just happened to get a lemon but this toy is a pain to put together and then doesn't really stay together when your kid is playing with it. First, the top kept falling off every time my daughter or I would try to open or close it. (Yes, I followed the assembly instructions). We had to glue the poorly made hinges to the rolling bar that allows the top to open and it now stays on when opening and closing. After about a week of play, the back and side doors won't stay closed and the wheels seem to only roll for a moment before getting stuck. Thus, this toy got no stars for being durable. Sorry, but whoever designed this thing did a poor job. On the plus side, my daughter still likes it even though it has serious design/manufacturing weaknesses that require me to put it back together for her. Just a warning, it also has a lot of small pieces that may get lost (like plastic food pellets which your vacuum will love). Maybe your kid will still like to play with it if you can just assure her that you "will put it back together right away" so she can get on with playing.
