I don't know what it is about this dollhouse, but it's very popular with kids of a wide age range. My daughter got this for her 3rd Birthday, but even her baby sister plays with it. The nice thing is that, at least with the initial set, there are no choking hazard pieces.

This dollhouse comes with a family of three: mom, dad and baby. It comes with a kitchen set, chairs and table, and a bathroom which includes built in tub and sink and a separate toilet.

Additional sets can be purchased. I highly recommend the big sister set, as it comes with an additional family member, and a bed, which the dollhouse is lacking in. Also, the grandma/stroller set would be another solid choice.

For such a good price, this toy is a great investment. Most children are drawn to this dollhouse and it will provide endless hours of fun.

The only thing worth noting is that, if your child is over 3 years old, you might want to consider the Loving Family Dollhouse as it's larger. However, even if you go with this set, your child will still love it.

My Daughter received a different dollhouse for her 2nd birthday. It was small and had many pieces. She threw the pieces and never played with any of it. I had this dollhouse on her wishlist (which was ignored by the gifter of the ignored house) and was delighted when I found a deal on this a few weeks ago. My Daughter LOVES this dollhouse. There are only a few pieces included (yay!) and it enables her to use her imagination to interact with it. She uses some of her other dolls/toys to play with the house and has had endless fun. Durable? Um, yes... she likes to move the dollhouse to where she shouldn't go and climb atop it (she is 35 pounds). Durable, easy to put together (I think it was two or three large pieces). This is a great gift for a 2-year-old!

We got this for our (then) 2-year-old last Christmas (paid more than the Lightning deal today). She LOVES it and still plays with it. But so does her older brother and sisters! Look for extra accessories to buy, but might have to buy at the manufacturer's website. :)

We bought this for our almost 2 year old daughter last year at Christmas. She loved it from the moment we took it out of the box. A year later she is still playing with it and taking her "Mommy, Daddy, and Baby" everywhere we go. She plays with this dollhouse at least an hour each day. It is very cute and perfect for little hands.

OK! This review will mainly focus on 1st time dollhouse buyers. I have 2 nieces who turned 2 over this past spring/summer. Both moms wanted a 1st dollhouse for their little girls! One mom was carried away with all the choices and really wanted to buy only one high quality dollhouse that would grow with them and family members could add furniture sets as gifts. The other just wanted a safe, easy to clean, portable and easy to add to dollhouse that would last until about 4 years of age at which time they could upgrade to the more expensive, larger dollhouse. I bought the Fisher-Price dollhouse for the second sister. The little one LOVES it! She has had it over 6 months now & carries it everywhere! She wants extra sets for Christmas. My first sister invested in the high quality expensive 'taller than the 2 year old' dollhouse and so far, that 2 1/2 year old is not very interested. I am sure with time, she will. But for the price of the Fisher Price and the easy-clean up, it is awesome! I wish the other niece could have had the fun of playing in a toddler friendly dollhouse! This will be purchased again for other little girls in the family!!
