I got this doll for my 3 year old daughter to put up for Christmas. It is bigger than I imagined, and it is very soft, so it's great for little kids. The face is painted ( or printed, I am not sure which) on, so it has no button eyes to really worry about. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase, and I am pretty sure my daughter will, too, as she loves Rainbow Brite. Now, if I can just find a plush Starlite horse to go with it.....

This doll is bright and cute, but nothing special. I associate "Madame Alexander" with exceptional quality and attention to detail. This doll does not meet those standards, yet the price is reflective of typical Madame Alexander dolls. It seems that cheap shortcuts were taken in manufacturing it. For example, the rainbow is printed as part of the fabric instead of an applique,' the materials seem cheap and flimsy, and the hair is sparse. It looks like a basic ragdoll that can be purchased for less than half of the cost. It is not, in my opinion, worth $50.
