I guess this is just a gripe to Mattel; my daughter got the 12 Dancing Princesses DVD in January and just loves everything about it. Even her little brother dances around with her. So I figured I'd get her a couple of the dolls. But they are impossible to find! I'm new to this Barbie thing and this was to be one of my girl's first dolls, but apparently right after Christmas most stores clearanced out these dolls so Mattel could then bring on the Barbie Magic of the Rainbow DVD and all THOSE toys, too. I have found several of the sisters at a clearance store (in early February) but for whatever reason, I have never seen an Ashlyn or Delia doll advertised (on eBay only) as coming from anywhere but China or Great Britain, which leads me to believe Mattel is actually creating the shortage/demand for product. Which pisses me off and makes me want to swear off Barbie for good. I am not a collector, I just wanted to get my daughter some of the dolls with pretty colored dresses. And the fact that about a month or two after the DVD was released, they stopped making the dolls ticks me off, too. Heaven help me because my daughter reads the Barbie as Rapunzel book someone gave me as a hand-me-down. I don't want to cater to my kids' every whim but this is one of those cases where she would enjoy these dolls and they can't be found just a few months after the holidays.

although some sellers are asking insane prices on this doll right now, I am not suprised that Barbie collectors are driving her price steadily upward.
Her hair is a lovely shade of blonde and her eye color and lip color make her a stand out. Sorry kids, but we doll collectors have the big buck to pay for this gal. Watch out and Don't buy one in the Chinese box if you are a collector. It is the US box that is most collectible
